Well, if it helps, you first understand the dynamics of our political parties and the political spectrum, what many call the "establishment," and how it is anything other than just Republicans who drive up the debt massively.

Folks like you only pretend to care about the debt when you can use it to make extremely biased talking points.

LMAO your response is hilarious when you consider the defecits are always biggest under republicans especially when the Republicans control the white house, senate and house of representatives as they do now

I don’t pretend to care about the debt. I’ve said repeatedly that there’s no reason to ever pay off the debt or even pay it down. I’ve said repeatedly while debt can become unsustainable beyond a certain threshold as long as that threshold is never crossed it’s a non-issue.

Whats hilarious is that shrieking about balancing the budget and paying off debt is a PRIMARY PILLAR of conservatism and they shriek that anyone who doesn’t subscribe to their dogma is a Stalin-worshipping Davos WEF Communist Corporatist Atheist Islamist who secretly wants to enslave the world.   But in reality they’re the worst offenders at running deficits and increasing debt.

I think you’re overreacting here. Obamacare was extremely unpopular when it was first passed and became more popular as time went on. I see the same argument in this bill. Lower taxes mean more incentives to pursue economic activity and development. If it’s profitable for me to open up shop with lower taxes why would I not?

So much disinformation.  The Medicaid “cuts” are that illegals no longer qualify for benefits, and able bodied people are required to work at least part time.  Oh the horror.

Shady,

I agree. It is not clear what this budget is doing - except that there are no tax increases.

LOL no they don’t. Tens of Millions of Americans were able to afford healthcare under Obama’s budget. Trump’s bill takes healthcare away from tens of millions. Biden’s budget gave tax breaks for buying zero emissions vehicles. Trump’s budget cancels that and gives tax breaks for gun silencers

Bush’s massive deficit was for his ginned up  fraudulent invasion of Iraq based on his administration’s lies and fabrications, that killed hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians and thousands of American troops

Yeah but if your shoes wear out the Republicans spend on new leather soles, the Democrats on new shoe laces.

Republicans are NOT giving anyone new soles, and even if they did, they would be useless to anyone who doesn't have the skills and tools they need to attach them.

WTH makes you believe you know ANYTHING about American politics, TROLLEGATO?

The only reason it was unpopular was because people were accustomed to buying CHEAP JUNK insurance and didn't like paying more for a plan that would not bankrupt them if they have a severe illness or injury.

Then they figured out they could afford better with the subsidies. 💡

Lmao...I cant tell if you are following his metaphor or not?

If not, good gawd man.

If you are, you are claiming the American worker is incapable of providing for themselves. That's probably even dụmber.

Don't you think that if I were wrong that I would know it?

We've been over this in detail. The republicans tend to clean up the messes democrats made and deal with their financial crap.  Except covid which you also tried to pin on trump :)

Don't keep going with the same lies that have been disproved, come up with new lies just to make it interesting ;)

What is not hilarious, but becoming tiresome, is how you leftists repeat this lie over and over and over again.

Obama was setting records for deficit spending at the time and when Biden took over he was spening more in deficit than Trump was...

Like I said, this is just some partisan talking point for you. Just lies to push your usual leftist biased false garbage.

I agree.  I’m not sure what it will take for some semblance of fiscal responsibility to return.  Neither party seems to be all that interested.

I would argue that both party are not able to. Both the largest generation, baby boomer and second largest ,millennials are looking to spend. Mainly because the baby boomer are retiring and need the welfare. While At the same time we are also finishing up the Cold War with China and Russia. The millennial are trying to reindustrialize with high tech AI investments in a post China world. In short both parties are going to be big spender.

LMAO what the hell are you talking about?  You’re just spouting your made up nonsense without a shred of evidence again. The last time we went over this YOU hilariously lied and tried to claim Bush Jr ran a balanced budget when in fact he massively INCREASED the debt and never ran a single balanced budget

And for the record Clinton inherited a weak economy from Bush Sr

Bush Jr  inherited a booming economy from Clinton

Obama inherited a completely destroyed economy from Bush Jr and much of the debt he incurred was continuing the TARP bailouts and other stimulus from the Bush recession….so a Democrat cleaning up a republicans mess, literally the opposite of what you claimed

Trump inherited a steadily growing economy from Obama

Biden inherited a struggling economy from Trump

Trump inherited a growing economy from Biden and has completely destabilized it

So exactly what messes were Republicans cleaning up with their debts?

Biden’s largest deficit was $1.7T. Trump’s largest from his first term was over $3T. Biden only increased Debt to gdp ratio by 6 because economy was also growing , Trump increased it by 24% in just 1 term.

in the chart below you can see that with the exception of Obama the Republicans are all at the top and the seems are all at the bottom, keep in mind Trump and Bush Sr were ONE TERM Presidents and much of Obama’s spending was continued Bush’s bailouts from the Bush Great Recession

President         | % Increase in National Debt
------------------|------------------------------
Ronald Reagan     | ██████████████████████████ 196%
Barack Obama      | ██████████████████         99%
George W. Bush    | ███████████████            72%
George H.W. Bush  | ███████████                56%
Donald Trump      | █████████                  40%
Bill Clinton      | ████████                   38%
Joe Biden (est.)  | █████                     24%
