I prefer Tim's...for what it's worth. I remember Tim Horton. Good defenceman. I wish I'd seen him in his prime during the '60s.

Love the coffee. The cheese tea biscuits too.

Guess what I had this morning.

I know, I was the one that pointed that out. Seems like you still haven't got over your fixation on it :)

I used it in the colloquial way to mean "a person who is a jerk" but you honed in on the anatomic definition, so who is really fixated here, asslicker?

That might have been more effective if you hadn't finished with an ass fixation comment :)

I've noticed some of the MAGA hyenas will call pretty much everyone they debate with, a "liar" to distract from the fact that they have no idea what they are talking about.

One could take that more seriously if it wasn't coming from someone who so often posts while demonstrably being clueless about what they are writing about.

Tims today is owned by cutthroat Brazilians and largely employs Indian foreign workers who sleep in the basement. Not exactly the best quality at anything. No fresh donuts and bleh coffee.

Yes I know Tim's employs lots of Indians. So does every fast food joint now. I doubt they sleep in the basement of the shops though.

I've also noticed that the posters that represent Team Canada, usually provide accurate information, unlike Team MAGA, who use unreliable information, and post on emotion, and not substance.

My assumption is that Canadians are more educated than the MAGA loons.

Oh don't say that. It's not the Countries that have a lock on the terminally stupid, it's the political right.
Anything that doesn't screw someone else over is left, woke, or progressive. To the point they'll screw themselves over to accomplish it.

Um, its the leftists whose entire political philosophy is grounded in screwing other people to take from them to distribute to those you deem deserving.

We see that you're delusional I have to lie to yourself to live with your culture's views :)

Herbie, people have proven you wrong so often that you'd need an electronic counter to keep up :)  And your buddy is even worse, he makes arguments and then proves HIMSELF wrong all on his own pretty regular :)

Well canadians and americans are smart enough to see you losers for what you are and are tossing you and your kind as fast as they can.  Enjoy ;)

Let’s begin with a couple of assumptions:

1.       Both sides consist of good people.

2.       Both sides have something important to say.

3.       Both sides feel the fate of the world depends on their side winning.

The trouble is, the human mind is a story processor, not a logic processor.

For example - here is a typical right-wing story:

Is this story true? Of course not. Good people do not want to screw others over. Is their motivation to take? No. Do they see some as more deserving than others? To the contrary, they say all should be deserving.

That story falsely demonizes a whole group of people. It’s an example of emotional reasoning detached from reality.

The irrational fear is – if I share my bowl, the “others” will take it all.

Isn't it?  It is true that the left is based largely on wealth redistribution.

Wealth redistribution could very reasonably be described as screwing someone out of their possessions to give to someone else.  Sorry but that is indeed true.

Because the left doesn't want to be seen as monsters they don't call it 'theft' or even 'seizure' or 'scerwing people', they call it cutsie names like 'wealth redistribution' and "forcing people to pay their 'fair share'" (Without ever showing how they came to the determination of how it's "fair")

But that doesn't change the fact you're taking something that belongs to someone away without compensation to use as you see fit by force.

So the story does contain a pretty solid helping of truth.

Now you could argue that it's JUSTIFIABLE theft some how or make some other case for it showing why we should accept it and be happy about it, but instead you chose to pretend it isn't true.

you've decided that YOU want to 'demonize' the other side and falsely claim that they are bad people who have lied for evil purposes.  Despite the fact that what they said is demonstrably accurate.

Ahhh so the right isn't just evil and out to demonize people, it's also irrational.

Share?

When you use the force of government to take, that is not sharing.

When you use the force of government to take, that is not sharing.

Setting his completely dishonest characterization aside for a moment, the whole premise he's putting forward is insane. When has the left ever said "That's enough, we never need you to share more"?  No matter how much you give they will insist that more is needed. No matter how much they take from you to give to someone else they will return tomorrow to demand more.

When has it ever been different? When has the left ever in history ever said "we've taken enough from you, they'll have to make do on their own and they don't deserve anything else from you' ?

The reality is the left is going to come and try and take everything in your bowl whether you share it or not. And that's not irrational, that is demonstrable history and experience.

So the question becomes if they're going to do that anyway why give up anything in the first place? No matter how much you give they will still not be able to make it work and will need more
