But you are aware that he was President of the United States and he and his staff did use unsecured phones continually, like for his 24/7 Twitter ramblings.

Out of two unfit candidates, one was forced to abandon his re-election campaign and will transition out of power (peacefully and painlessly) within months.  The other is rambling about cats and dogs being eaten, and you're arguing in favor of him being President for the next four years

Being President is a full time job, it is the Cheif Executive of the entire Executive Branch, the Commander of our Military Forces with great power and responsibility.

He is unfit to be any of that right now. Right this moment. It doesn't matter if it is a day, a week, or half a year (which is what we are talking about here). Nevermind how long he has been this way before now with it being hidden from us.

You can't argue about that... you just change the subject to what about Trump.

What about Trump? Biden is President right now and is unfit right now.

What political scandal is that?  Joe Biden isn't batshit crazy.  He's just too old, and nobody wants to see him run again.  After 3.75 years in office, I imagine you'd have trouble articulating the dangers of letting him quietly serve out the last few months of his term, or what purpose it serves to force his resignation immediately before the election.

That the administration, including Harris, all know he is unfit and they are ignoring it. You are ignoring. All because you want to win the next election.

He very clearly is suffering from advanced dementia and parkinsons. He is absolutely mentally not fit to run the country. Anybody who's worked with dementia patients for even a few years knows he's that far gone as soon as they look at him for more than 10 seconds.

He's not just "old".

I think the Cabinet is perfectly capable of making that determination under the 27th Amendment and they have no political reason not to make that determination if needed.  No question Joe Biden is inarticulate, but that does not mean his decision making abilities are limited.  Those who work with him, like his cabinet members, can ascertain that and I think if he started issuing inappropriate commands to them, they would remove him, which is their Constitutional prerogative.

Sigh... this is obfuscation. I understand the mechanisms by which he can be removed. The scandal is that he isn't being removed or forced to step down.

As I said, you won't (can't? ) actually articulate how Biden stepping down in the twilight months of his presidency improves anything, or what colossal blunders he's apt to make.  "Unfit" is a subjective term and judgement.  As frail and diminished as he evidently is, he's still more "fit" than the similarly old, but raving buffoon who was running against him.  I have little doubt that Joe Biden can hold it together and run a steady ship until the New Year, even if I didn't support another 4 years for him.

"Whatabout Trump?" isn't deflection.  It's context for your criticism.  While you repeat about Biden that "he's unfit, he's unfit, he's unfit", you're advocating for a muddled fool who humiliated himself ranting about illegal immigrants kidnapping and eating family pets on a televised presidential debate the whole world was watching.  For anything but a die-hard Republican, that's a tough sell.  🤷‍♂️

Improves anything?

That is like asking how a pilot who can't fly the plane anymore stepping down improves the flight.

This is not a serious question or debate, you are just trolling with such obvious absurdity now.

As you make clear with goofy analogies like the one above.

I thought he was a poor candidate in 2020 and too old to begin with.  Now he's 4 years older and in obvious decline.

Alas, we don't always get the candidates we want, and thus the choice we had was between slow and senile, vs deranged and senile.   I'll take slow over deranged every day of the week.

No, what I said is that the cabinet has the authority to remove Biden from office if they determine that he is not capable of doing the job.  Just because he speaks poorly doesn’t mean he cannot make informed decisions.  Trump, on the other hand, is clearly crazy.  In his last administration, a senior DHS appointee wrote an anonymous editorial to The NY Times explaining that he and his cohorts had no intention of letting Trump execute irrational orders.

Nope. She's a working mom so she can change his nappies AND finish his cabinet meetings ;)

So, your big argument is that Biden is perfectly fit to be President right now... but somehow you know that on day 1 of the next term, he would be unfit?

The point I am getting at here is that no, you have not explained why he is fit to be President right now and then all of a sudden in a few more months he won't be good enough for you.

Why... it is almost like you are just fine playing this scandal out for the power.

Now you're being ridiculous.

I thought he was a bad candidate in 2020 because he was too old.  He's even older now.  He's going to continue getting even older after the election, and will statistically be dead before that 4-year term finishes.   The odds of him surviving to 2029 are bad, and the odds of him not having significant health problems over period are terrible.  The odds of him having any problems up until January are very low.

Your partisan double-standard for fit-vs-unfit is your hang-up.

I see, so Biden is just perfectly fine right now, but at some point in the next 4 years... you just know he would then be bad.

Except.. you have no idea when or if that is the case anymore than you do if he could be bad tomorrow. If that is your big argument, why not remove him right now from office?

He is perfectly fit and fine to be President according to you, so no reason to drop out of the race. So... why did he drop out of the race?

It is not my partisan double-standard. It is yours. You are trying to have it both ways, that Biden is perfectly fit and fine to be President right now... but certainly not fit and fine to run for President. By the way, you have the Powerball numbers too?

I didn't say anything about perfectly fine and fit. 😆

I said he's too old, but that I have little worry he can hold things together until January.  If he starts raving about dogs and cats being kidnapped and eaten by Haitians, I might re-assess.

Your double standard is your vague and nebulous definition for fit vs unfit.  We both know how funny it would be if you tried to objectively define it, and how it would be even funnier if that lens was turned on the orange buffoon.

No, sorry.  I do have actuarial tables though.

I can objectively define it. The man can barely walk, he needs staff to tell him where to go, what to say, when to say it. He walks onto the wrong planes, can't walk around the White House without Secret Service pointing out the doors to him. He had to be rescued from the press by the Easter Bunny.

Everyone around him knows this which is why he has had like one cabinet meeting in over a year that his wife ran for him and why he is hidden from the media and why he was run out of the campaign after his humiliating debate performance...

The objective standards here are that Biden is no longer mentally fit to be President.

You know it, the entire party knew it. And everyone was hiding it until it couldn't be hidden anymore.

And now you and others want to gas light us and play dumb so you can win an election.

LOL, when people have to tell you they are ignoring you...

There was nothing objective or defined about this little rant.

You're gaslighting yourself.  Your cringeworthy self-righteousness and outrage might be taken more seriously if you weren't doing everything you could to avoid addressing how ridiculous your own candidate is...in a thread about him.  😆
