The "I grew up in a middle class family." has become the popular, meaningless response to questions. Quote The Rules for Liberal tactics: If they can't refute the content, attack the source. It isn't. It's very good news for him. He screwed up badly that night and it could have cost him dearly but fortunately Kamala was only a little bit better. As I said at the time there were no winners. Kamala did slightly better but she will have impressed no one. And lo and behold the polling proves it she got no significant bump at all. Like zero. Nobody watched the debate and thought "Gosh I really want to vote for her". There was almost no movement in the numbers and what movement there was was well within the margin of error. So that was her at her best. She had a really good night, she had a really good convention not long before that, and the media have been treating her like a little darling. Oh, and she outspent trump on social media by 20 to 1:. She has poured insane amounts of money into advertising. And she still can't pull away from trump. She is still literally neck and neck with him. She has shot all of her best shots and still can't pull a lead. Meanwhile trump is going to be out there hitting hard for the remainder of the campaign which is still 2 months. And his advertising dollars are still yet to come into play. Not to mention that for whatever reason he always seems to pull lower than his actual performance. So the new so far is actually pretty good for him. It's Kamala who's in trouble. She had a convention, she did better than trump in the debate, the media have been treating her like a Disney princess, she has been out spending trump in advertising by a huge margin, And she still in an absolute dead tie with him. She can't pull away. And her best shots have been used up. She made her whole campaign about feelings and how brat she is and how Kewl and Awesome. Instead of policy. And the policies she's announced have been bad and poorly received. Now it will be very hard for her to sell any policy or vision. But trump, who is out there daily campaigning and giving interviews and such to a much wider audience unscripted definitely can propose more and better policies. And the problem is excitement and feelings and Vibes wear off. That new candidate shine is already beginning to fade.
