Just in case people here are starting to forget just how much support there is for Hamas in Canada, this article is from Oct 9th, talking about pro-Hamas rallies from the day before.

The day before was actually the very first evening since the Palestinian terrorist attack.

At that time, there was still smoke coming off of the babies who were burned to death.

Palestinian terrorists were still sharing those videos with their proud parents, and putting them on social media.

No one was buried yet.

The death toll was still coming in. Israeli officials were still sorting out the dead bodies to figure out who was missing.

https://kitchener.citynews.ca/2023/10/09/toronto-police-boost-presence-ahead-of-israel-palestine-rallies-warn-against-hate/

  • Protesters gathered at Nathan Phillips Square in front of Toronto City Hall on Monday afternoon, many draped in or waving Palestinian flags as the crowd chanted, “From the river to the sea"
  • One sign read, “Occupation is a crime, resistance is a response.”

Let's not pretend that it wasn't a 'Palestinian' terrorist attack on Oct 7th... Hamas is the government in Gaza. The 'Hamas' attacks are truthfully Palestinian attacks. Palestinians aren't condemning those attacks, or trying to stop them. They're out spitting on the naked corpses with their kids.

When the US gov't goes into Iraq it's not "The Democrats" or "Republicans" at war, it's America

Clinton, Obama, Trump, and Biden don't launch attacks, nor do their parties... America does.

Similarly, support for those wars at that time isn't for the Dems or GOP, it's for America, and support for what the Palestinians are doing is support for Hamas

I have a friend in the US who, for many years, has been very 'Free Palestine".  I have always kind of avoided any discussion with her on the topic because in her view Israel = evil, Palestine  = 100% innocent angels.  And I've always suspected the truth lies somewhere in between there.

The question for me is "What does 'Free Palestine' mean to the government and people of Palestine?"

These demonstrations and rallies in Canada and the US, in my opinion, show that to Palestinians - it means the eradication of Israel as a state and the killing of Jews worldwide.

I am upset to see these ones openly chanting about killing Jews and watching gov't and authorities do next to nothing about it.  In Canada.

I am not as dramatic as you.

I see the protests as defiance and being pissed off that Israel has bombed Gaza for 3 months and killed 20 to 30,000 people. Most all being civilians and women and children, has prevented aid form getting to the millions of refugees living in squalor. Even the US has begin aid by ship and built ports to be able to deliver aid  because Israel has all but cut off road access.

I am equally upset that Israel has not stopped the bombing and is planning more raids and will not even sit to discuss cease fire. It seems that Israel is doing it's utmost to wipe out hamas regardless of the cost of civilian life.

Because Hamas told you so. And you trust Hamas.

But the numbers coming from Hamas are deeply suspicious in that if the IDF and western intelligence agencies are correct in how many Hamas fighters they've killed EVER OTHER PERSON has been a woman or a child. Do you not find that even slightly suspicious?

How about that? You mean they're living like the people in Sudan and Yemen and Syria?

Hamas has already rejected a cease fire. By the way, there was a ceasefire in existence when Hamas attacked.

What you really are pissed off about is that Israel won't pull back and let Hamas regroup and rearm so they can launch more rape/murder/torture raids into Israel.

Right?

Oh, you're not? And yet that is the certain result of pulling back. So that must be what you want.

How many German civilians died when the Allies insisted on going all the way to Berlin and taking the capital? Should they have backed off to save the civilians?

I think the IDF needs to take over all of Gaza. And I don't really give a damn how many Palestinians it kills doing so. They brought it on themselves.

Is Hamas legally listed as a terrorist organization?

Then supporting them is a crime and they should be investigated and arrested.

And if not born here then deported back to their country of origin. And if they've obtained citizenship it should be stripped from them.

Gaza was free.

The Israeli gov't completely pulled out of there over a decade ago and left them to be 100% autonomous, but with free electricity.

The Gazans spent all that time making Gaza beautiful, and creating prosperity for their people. 😂 J/K, they spent all their time and money getting weapons and rockets, plotting genocide, and then tried to overwhelm the Iron Dome with 15,000 bombs.

Hezbollah was supposed to launch some of their 150,000 rockets at the same time but thought better of it.

Look, The UN and lots of non government agencies are over there and reporting. it is not just hamas propaganda. Even the US has built docks so they could ship aid in because Israel has blockaded food and supplies.

WTF...are you really pulling the nazi card??

I firmly believe that the Palestinians are entitled to to their own land too. Just like the jews were given land by the UN, the Palestinians should be given land too.

"And if not born here then deported back to their country of origin." are you talking about the jews?? Many of them were not born in Israel.

The UN and most other agencies largely employ Palestinians there. The non-Arab members of NGOs are almost all fellow travelers who, like the people interviewed in the Atlantic article, have no issue with lying to make Israel look worse.

I don't agree.  An independent Palestine would be a war waiting to happen. Only it would be far, far worse than the one going on now.  Those dumb twats who chant about a 'free palestine' are not talking about a democratic state. They're talking about a theocratic dictatorship similar to Iran. Which is what Hamas promised and what they got elected for.

I'm talking about the immigrants who are demonstrating in our streets and threatening Jews and demanding my country cater to their own religious zealotry.

You seem to be referring to the ONE GUY who wasn't deported for protesting in general. If they find so much as one protesting to support Hamas rather than the Palestinian people, I'm sure they would rule otherwise.

They had their own land. They had Gaza 100% to themselves. They chose to use it as a staging ground for terrorist attacks. Now it's being treated as.... a staging ground for terrorist attacks.

Does that make sense to you?

I'm also referring to the ONE GUY who was shouting praise of Oct 7 in Ottawa the other day. He was definitely foreign-born from his accent. And the ONE GUY who was threatening people in malls. And the ONE GUY who referred to the people living near a bridge in Toronto as Zionist scum.

And, just while we're at it, how about everyone involved with organizing the protests? Since their primary loyalty is clearly to their homeland and they cling to the political views, values and hatreds of their homelands, they should return there. We don't need them here.

ONE GUY...out of thousands of protesters....

Perhaps they are just concerned about their homeland(?) and not the politics?

If you go out to demonstrate with the "ONE GUY" who is shouting "Death to Jews" then you can hardly claim innocence when someone calls you a Nazi.

And the ONE GUY in Ottawa who praised Oct 7 had no pushback from the demonstrators following him. In fact, they applauded and cheered him.

It's sad.

The people did elect a terrorist government - on purpose.

And apparently 76% of them still support Hamas.

It does seem like a FAFO situation.

The number of people killed that were actually civilians is questionable, but who to blame is not.

You don't believe that Hamas uses their own people as human shields? Or that when they fight, they are almost always in civilian clothing?

As I have shown with those links, there is very strong evidence.

The mighty Israeli  military with all their people and specialists and Mossad and equipment cannot find the leaders and just take care of them. Instead they need to bomb, raid and kill 30000 men, women and children in hospitals, schools and refugee camps and blockade any food, medical equipment and support to the citizens.

Pretty f'd up and you wonder why Palestinians are gaining support from all over the world??

How long did it take for the US to find Bin Laden?

The IDF gives advance warning before they attack, plenty of time for 'civilians' to get out. You greatly underestimate how much control Hamas has in Gaza and over the people that live there. Hamas controls what journalists are allowed and not allowed to see. It's also Hamas that controls how much aid gets to the people...after they take their usual cut of course.

your seeing what you want to see and not the whole picture, there has not been 30,000 civilians killed. included in those numbers are the more than 12,000 HAMAS fighters killed... most people are gullible to think that Hamas is not running it's own PR campaign...and they are playing on your heart strings to build support for their cause...every wonder why almost every news report announces most of the people killed in these bombing are children...it is done on purpose...

Hospitals , schools, and refugee camps are valid military targets if the enemy is using them to fight from...Hamas was operating from all the hospitals, they know the conventions better than we do...and use that knowledge to their benefit. Food and medicine , who do you really think this aid is going to...from what the media has broadcasted on TV there is not many palestinians that look like they are starving, just the other day they announces that bakers all across the city have opened up....hungry maybe but starving out of the question...lets not forget that Hamas does not care about any palestinian, that much is fact...

Israel does not control all of the access points into gaza, Egypt owns one,why are they not pushing aid through...

I am seeing what is reported in the news. Not local news but international news BBC, Al Jazeera, Reuters, AP, UPI and others.

I observe the world wide protests against the Israeli government.

Israel is losing credibility and sympathy. Even the US are not as "warm" to them as they used to be. The US is even bypassing and setting up shipping to deliver aid the the besieged Palestinians.

Perhaps you are "your seeing what you want to see and not the whole picture"?
