Concrete debate on ways we can fix the U. S. Border with Mexico. Limit 100 words per response.

Okay, so moving forward.  

We obviously do have a bleeding border problem made worse by politicians painting signs and holding them up saying " gather your family and get across the border now or it may be closed permanently in the future".  Thus has caused a huge inflyx, along with climate change of just 2 degrees warmer climate  which has been devastating South and Central America where traditional food crops are being devastated by alternating floods, droughts, mudslides and raging unchecked fires leading to mass migrations northwards to cooler climes. 

  On top of this the drug cartels continue to see America as their cash cow and America is not doing enough to stop it at the border but due to the unwillingness of Congress to provide enough funding to hire more agents and buy more surveillance equipment , the mass migrations pushed towards us by drug cartel wars and climate change continue to.over come our barriers....despite this America needs migrant workers to do most of its low end agricultural jobs and light construction such as wood frame new housing, plumbing and dry wall installation. These same illegal.immigrants though , in using stolen social security numbers, actually pay money into a system they will never collect from so alienating them us a bad idea since we need this " under class" to shore up.our broken foundations.  

What are other ways we can use to fix our Country?  

Concrete answers only please, those trying to turn this into another blame game, ignore them entirely.

Make it too toxic to come here illegally and punish the companies that hire them severly where the risk isn't worth the reward and make them us E-Verify . No jobs, no housing and no government services= no reason to come here. Also close the asylum loophole, only accept asylum seekers from countries that share a border with us and not take any economic asylum seekers.

Build the wall with sensors and cameras and have drones actively patrolling the border with border patrol agents close enough to investigate attempted breaches.

Once we clear out all the people trying to come in for jobs it will be easier to catch the drug cartels smuggling.

I honestly don't think anything will work.

As for stopping the flow of humanity across the border. A billion people will be on the move around the planet in a decade - you haven't seen anything yet.

The means available to stop them are still unthinkable and we're past the point of being able to prevent them from wanting to flee here.

You can make a big difference by just doing what worked in the past.

Exercise a strict "remain" policy (which biden cancelled) which does help, concentrate on not letting people in or going out to rescue them and focus your man power on patrolling to catch illegal crossings.  Shoot to kill if a crowd tries to rush the border to break in. Put barriers to limit where people can easily get in.  Have severe penalties for being caught in the country illegally especially for those who 'snuck' across.

You'd eliminate about 80 percent of the problem.

Unfortunately I also am well aware that.most conventional.methods we have relied in in the past will simply not work now, not with the very real.problem of quickly advancing climate change caused by climate change deniers and by greedy self interested corporations world wide as well as our enemies long term climate induced attacks on our flora, fauna and of those principally.our food crops. 

I was hoping that perhaps others , brainstorming here, could come up with some new solutions and get it across to denyers that it is too late now to try basic plans to halt the effects of climate change, we passed the finger in the dike methods a long time ago that would help, we now are in the ramp up to very serious effects, but again perhaps, just perhaps someone here has good ideas we haven't thought of previously that might help.

Pass federal legislation granting the President and Executive Branch the authority to immediately deport any person who cannot identify themselves as being lawfully present in the United States. As long as there’s a process to ensure that someone without an ID has time to prove their status, that should be fine. 

Right now, the laws require a complicated due process system that is not working at all.

It's not so easy.

First you have to identify the actual problem from the Dems' POV: "How do we keep millions of people streaming across the border with almost nothing, so that they can live without full rights and work for dirt cheap?" [aka voluntary slavery]

"Pretend that you don't want them to come", that's how.

Pretty simple.

That would radically cut down on it - AND put a serious crimp on the drug and gun smugglers as well as more resources would be freed up to patrol the border and illegal crossings.

It is illegal to shoot an immigrant upon entry. 
it is illegal to deport an alien without a long drawn out due process procedure.  Biden has been trying to get that law changed but Trump got Congress to block the effort because he wants to “make Biden look bad.”  So illegal immigration has increased because of Trump… and because Biden follows the law.

If a Congressman refuses to vote on a bill unless it’s perfect, he’ll just vote No on everything.  They GOP could have insisted on changing or removing that part; they didn’t.

I will pass this on, sounds worthwhile and both the Dems and Repubs should gave no.problem supporting it.  Independents will.likely drift and vote their conscience as well.

Key presumption: immigration that is out of control is bad. Even in good times it is bad, because they will not last forever and when the times change it will be the first one to blame by the populists, whether it is (that it can be) or not.

We need to have a broad, non partisan agreement to that extent. Just let everybody in and see what happens won't work. Can we get to this point, first?

Apparently I my a few of us agree. Those who don't prefer to pass the blame on their political enemy but also the total responsibility for fixing it even though we all contribute to the problem by such silence. Of course some here refuse to offer any concrete help because its too similar to helping congressional enemies.

Also, get rid of the born on US soil bullshit and begin nationwide deportation of all illegals. That means ANYONE who isn't at a designated checkpoint, needs to go. 

All non-citizens need to be accounted for.
