Zelensky will most likely escape to Israel where he came from. As a Jew, he banned the Orthodox Church in Ukraine, where more than 90% are Orthodox Christians. What garbage propaganda source do you get your news from that you think he banned the orthodox religion in Ukraine?

The Orthodox Church of Ukraine is still in full swing, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has not been banned yet either, they still have 6 months to cut ties to Russia before they'll be shut down, but the Orthodox Church of Ukraine will still operate even if that happens.

If a Church starts preaching for its followers to commit violence like the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has been it should expect to be shut down too so I'm not even remotely bothered.

I've seen this person's posts. They claim to be Ukrainian in many posts (and set their location to Ukraine), but always go out of their way to defend Russia, and attack Ukraine. In other words, the person is just trolling.

What does genetics have to do with whether or not this is a civil war? If the president of the US is of Russian ancestry and invades Russia, is that a civil war too?

It's not like "Russian" is the only culture in Russia either.

A Civil war is a war within a single country. How does this need to be explained to someone on a forum like this. Being Ukrainian is a geographic category. The so-called "Ukrainian" language is nothing more than one of the Russian dialects. Ukraine has no national and cultural identity (except the Nazi one, ask the Poles about that).

The name Russia came from the "Kievan Rus" name,  and more specifically,  Russia comes from the old Norse word "Rus' after the Vikings helped colonise the Ukraine, and spent time in Kiev, the oldest city in region. Russia was settled much later, and Moscow was settled probably at least 300 after Kiev was.

You could at least try to get history right.
