I think they know he'll stand up to them if they tick him off - but the real issue is that his re-election will seriously impact the stability of the nation for at least 4 years and possibly more.  The left will lose it's mind.  They will claim someone helped him, we'll be back to the whole 'russian collusion' lie in another form, there will be marches and riots same as the last time - democrats are evil people when they don't get their way.

And trump leans into that stuff so the nation will become more divided, anger will brew, institutions will struggle - basically people will be focused on what's going on at home.

ANd trump will probably demand an end to support for ukraine because biden did support ukraine.  And that works for russia.

Fact is, either way just having trump running again and the dems behaving as they are benefits these countries due to the natural instability it creates.
