Better than the days when our economy was shut down and we had the biggest pandemic death rate in the world… because our President refused to follow the pandemic plans or listen to any experts.

The problem is that he followed the plandemic plans and listened to the "experts" who were working on GOF for the coronavirus before they blamed the funking pangolins.

He blocked flights from China back when the Dems thought that was unnecessary and racist. He shut down the economy when there were less than 100 deaths. He initiated Operation Warp Speed when the Dems were still encouraging people to "Ride the subway and eat in restaurants like normal" and hosting hug-a-thons with strangers in Chinatown to prove "whatever stupid things Nancy Pelosi wanted to prove".

FYI, what she is doing, and encouraging others to do, is the exact opposite of 'social distancing', and she did that late in Feb, almost a full month after Trump had blocked flights from China.

You've been duped 6 ways from Sunday, kid.

Are you kidding me? With "85M Dem voters" that's the best meme you could find?

Your cartoonists are as sad as your political leaders.

It's not a meme.  It's an editorial cartoon.

I wasn't looking for it.  I came across it.

Trump DID NOT BLOCK flights from China. He let 40,000 fly back from China with NO testing, tracking nor quarantine.

ONE of the biggest super-spreader events of the pandemic.

Trump is a CONMAN and you've been CONNED.

  1. The fact that there have been previous instances of misconduct in politics doesn't mean that one should accept it as the norm. One should continue to demand transparency and ethical behaviour from our political leaders, regardless of their political affiliation, in order to keep democracy strong.

That's all fine and dandy, but it has been the "norm" for 240+ years, so why is there an exception just because it's Trump ?

Therein lies the political difference...and obvious bias.

It's a blatant attack from one party to another.

The next problem is, retaliation in the form of legal attacks on other former Democrat presidents, and the present one and future ones. How far do you want to go with that.

It is why presidential immunity exists... to a point. Where national security or political crimes of a nature such as watergate are commited.

As was detailed by Mitch McConnell, the Senate declined to convict Trump at his impeachment with the JUSTIFICATION that he could be punished AFTER he left office. It is beyond stupid to say that now that he is out of office he STILL cannot be charged.

AKA, presidential immunity plays NO ROLE here.

It's NOT "just because it's Trump," unless you're talking about the EXTENSIVE EVIDENCE of illegality AGAINST HIM.

And the THREAT he poses in the FUTURE. He is the closest analogy to Hitler we've ever had in the WH cause Hitler was ELECTED and FAILED the FIRST TIME he committed crimes to maintain his power.

The F he listened to the experts.  He made fun of Biden for wearing a mask. He held a rally against all protocols.  He was the “leader” who lead his followers to ignore the experts.  He held events with loads of VIPs's not wearing masks.

"Experts".

The same ones who said that the vax would prevent infection and be safe? And then back-peddled from there to "It increases your risk of serious infection by 80%" and left it at that, even though that's not true at all.

Covid deaths went up in Canada in 2022 -- by a large percentage-- after we vaxed 85% of our population, and 85.7% of covid deaths were among the multi-vaxed... Those experts can all go to hell.

But at any rate, he did listen to them, he even took drastic action based on their advice. Blocking passengers from China was a huge deal. Shutting down the economy was a big deal. And he did that while the Dems were still twiddling their thumbs.

I just proved to you that Trump too covid far more seriously than Nancy Pelosi did and you pretended not to see it. She was telling people to party like it was 1999 in late February. A month earlier Trump was quite busy doing the right things. He started Operation War Speed just a month after Nancy's hugathon. That was late March.

Justin Trudeau still didn't even get off his arse to order vaccines until 8 months later, so he had to 1.9 poach vaccines from the 3rd world charity pool.

But go ahead and cry about Trump, because that's what the MSM told you to do.

He made fun of Biden for wearing a mask.

He probably had it over his eyes, or maybe it was when he had it off to talk to people, and then walked to the podium to speak and put it on after he was 10 feet away from everyone.

There were lots of reasons to make fun of Biden and his masktardedness.

Quote

He held a rally against all protocols.

Against protocols? Cite required. I never heard of that. Are you sure you don't mean vax mandates or something?

Quote

He was the “leader” who lead his followers to ignore the experts.

Cite.

Quote

He held events with loads of VIPs's not wearing masks.

Cite.

FYI leftists were the biggest vax-Nazis of all, and Pelosi, Newsom et all constantly got busted for their masking hypocrisy.

Which POTUS was CLOSER ANLOGY Hitler?

If YOU cannot say, then you agree with me.

There are several....examples would include Andrew Jackson, Abe Lincoln, FDR, and Richard Nixon.   Hell, the U.S. changed the frickin' Constitution because of FDR's repeating terms.

Hitler was charged with crimes for trying to remain in power and spent time in prison. None of ^these were charged with crimes let alone even being impeached.

Not the point here...several previous U.S. presidents have used the power of the Executive Branch to violate the U.S. Constitution and consolidate power for political gain.    Trump did not invent this attribute all by himself, and he has plenty of historical company.

Other presidents have also been impeached.

"Consolidate (political) power" is EXPECTED. Trying to overturn an election is UNPRECEDENTED.

It's what Hitler did.

Quote
Adolf Hitler is sentenced for his role in the Beer Hall Putsch of November 8, 1923. The attempted coup in Munich by right-wing members of the army and the Nazi Party was foiled by the government, and Hitler was charged with high treason. Despite his conviction, Hitler was out of jail before the end of the year, with his political position stronger than ever.

No other POTUS has been impeached for trying to overthrow an election.

Trump was impeached the 2nd time for incitement of insurrection...he was acquitted.

And the purpose of that insurrection was CLEARLY to overthrow the election by forcing a contingent election.

Sucks for Trump that Pence wouldn't cooperate, unlike Hitler's ruthless thugs.

Of course it was Trump's tweets about Pence's refusal which set off the "Hang Mike Pence!" chants. ?
