It was most definitely not comparable to 9/11 or Pearl Harbour. No ships were sunk, no buildings were demolished, and the death toll was far, far fewer in number. Anybody who compares the events of Jan 06 to either is indulging in some pretty excessive hyperbole. What it was, was an attempt, by predominantly clueless people, to prevent the completion of an election at the behest of the crybaby who lost. About the only comparison to the two aforementioned events that might be justified is that all three events were unthinkable to sane people prior to them happening. He asks why the police didn't stop or arrest these people? Because they were already farking overrun and vastly outnumbered. After the initial violence what officer is going to escalate against a mob like that? They were literally beaten and threatened and warned against impeding the mob. There's footage of that too.
