If you're asking how many still have SS units as part of their military structure i would say none, But i bet every western nation has groups of civilians that are part of groups or organizations that do follow or are part of a NAZI doctrine enough to make up a single unit or regiment size unit. Which includes Canada. The question would be do we allow them to defend their country when invaded. or do they get a pass. Yes, but they have to last through winter and hold what they have, and that seems unlikely without reinforcements. Many of these recruits are going to be exactly what everyone is calling them - cannon fodder. Russia doesn't have the capacity to properly train 300,000 or more recruits even over the winter. Come March they will still be substandard in training and equipment. There's almost no way these units aren't vastly inferior to the units Russia already lost. 1 hour ago, Infidel Dog said: Beave makes a valid point about supply lines being cut in some areas, but they can train closer to Russia and wait for spring. I heard the expectation was the Ukrainian counter-offensive would slow and possibly even stop in the winter from a Ukrainian analyst. Likely. Winter is a great equalizer. First you have the wet and muddy season where vehicles get stuck and troops are wet and uncomfortable at all times. Next it all freezes and you can no longer dig trenches or foxholes, your extremities freeze (along with your equipment and vehicles) and you're just generally cold and miserable. I don't think time is on Russia's side, however. By March 2023, Ukraine's army will still be highly motivated and experienced and substantially better equipped than when this started. In the meantime, Russian bodybags will continue coming home, an obvious challenge to Kremlin propaganda that will continue to fray Putin's narrative about things going well. Take absolute control of Ukrainian news media. They were denied entry to NATO. Why? Because the way they operate is...much like the Russians. Which is not surprising because about 20% of the "Ukrainian" population...are Russians. Hell their last president was a Russian. I've said from the beginning of this...Shakespearian comedy...pun intended... "These 2 "nations" deserve each other. Stay the hell out of it!" But no. Instead we've poured billions into a bottomless pit of Russians...and Russians...fighting over...Russians. Now one of the Russians...the big one with nuclear missiles aimed at all of us no less...threatens to use them if we don't stay out of his little war with the other Russians. The ones our NATO leaders denied. Finally...the 2 gas pipelines from Big Russia...get sabatoged. Big Russia sends people to investigate and say they can fix it. Meanwhile our side it busily finding out who done it. Who done it? Well...Biden did say if Big Russia attacks Little Russia, that those pipelines will not operate. Blinken thinks this is an "opportunity". Huh...guess who done it... And STILL you ignorant little twerps egg on increased involvement. You possess the mentality of a brick. The vision of a zombie. sharkman Posted October 7, 2022 Report Posted October 7, 2022 Zelenskiy has called NATO to hit Russia with nukes, preemptively. I’m also hearing that the US has a military presence in Ukraine. Everybody in the West gets this wrong: the Soviet Union wasn't putting missiles in Cuba to threaten the United States. The Soviet Union was putting missiles in Cuba to pressure the United States to remove the US missiles it put in Turkey in range of Moscow. Why does everyone in the West -- even the good guys -- always omit the whole reason the Cuban Missile Crisis happened? It was once again US imperialist aggression that set off the entire confrontation. In the end, the Soviet Union prevailed in that conflict, but everyone in the West portrays the resolution of the conflict as a US win, when the Soviet Union got exactly what it wanted: THE US REMOVED ITS MISSILES FROM TURKEY. ?
