Leftism and Political Prisoners

Recommended Posts

It first started in the United States where Democrats ran show trials against the sitting president of the United States, Donald J. Trump, to atone for his election victory over Hillary Clinton.

It then moved up to Canada.

Whether it be the fake charges drummed up against Artur Pawlowski, the ridiculous abuse of power against the Freedom Convoy protests.

Now they go after political opponents. This time Randy Hillier for encouraging people to call in police violence against protesters. Apparently if you witness an assault, you mustn't say anything if it's leftists doing it.

Where have we gone as a nation? Should the justice system really be tied up with frivolous nonsense because politicians have hurt feelings? Seems like a waste of resources and detrimental to the fabric of society

Of course there's a sizeable part of the population who wants to use the justice system as a sort of purity test for left wing causes. Very sad

Aren't you even going to try to justify his shout-out to jam emergency lines ?  I wouldn't support any politician saying that.  Would you like it if the NDP did it ?

Answer: of course not.  This is called being unprincipled.  An act is 'ok' if someone you like does it, but 'not ok' if someone you don't like does it.

I love how among the charges against Hillier are “uncommitted” crimes.  It just gets more Orwellian.  The public are a strange mix these days of fearful, cowardly, and zombified.  I think mostly people are just traumatized and weakened.  It’s a rare person who calls out the government overreach because now such people are risking their reputations and even criminal charges.  How far we have fallen…Big tech, media, and government are all on the same oppressive page.

The charges aren't serious but serve as a way of character assassination. Most people don't have the time to dive into the charges and on surface would give the illusion he's a bad bad guy.

The process of being sunk in lawyer fees and having your life impeded due to bail conditions are the real punishment for disagreeing with a liberal. General Flynn is a prime example.. had to re-mortgage his home to fend off frivolous litigation.

And we claim we are a "free" society ?

Yup.  He’ll get fined $10,000 if he communicates with protest organizers.  Why?   The government has already frozen 250 bank accounts, seized assets, and prevented these people from working.  Where is justice and free speech in all of this?

There is none. A judge actually tried to implement a compelled speech clause with Artur Pawlowski. Never happened before in our history. Those are the "experts" overseeing our judicial system.. political activists just like the US.

It’s fake justice.  Compelled speech is the opposite of free speech.  It’s the worst kind of authoritarianism.

You can bet you last buck that had this been a Liberal or NDP, that the "jam emergency lines" thing would either have been justified, glossed over or ignored completely.

What I don't understand is why Canada's conservative right-wing is completely ignoring the opportunity to excoriate Trudeau over the $130 billion worth of oligarch wealth that is reported to being laundered...aka snow-washed...through Canada on a yearly basis.

This should be front and center on the desk of every candidate running to lead the Conservative Party of Canada and raised on a continual daily basis in Parliament wouldn't you think?

And conservative supporters have no issue with it - two wrongs make it right.

It's phenomenal in this day and age with everything that's going on.

Canada's water supply must be laced with copium.

Just shows to go ya that left or right, they is the same LOL

One is no better than the other.

I see a few but enough indications of disgust from both sides to know exceptions exist.  Given time, patience and diligence they might even come to dominate.

The left are into censoring and deplatforming far more than the right now.

Of course there will always be those who stubbornly avoid and refuse to accept any responsibility or accountability for having been punked into divisiveness.

I'd argue that it started here, with the "DUFFYGATE SCANDAL!!!!!"  ?

It became news in 2012, over $90K in expenses that a senator charged for travelling to and from his 'primary residence' (formerly his cottage by a lake somewhere, but he sold his primary residence when he moved to Ottawa). The PM's assistant paid the money back and that was A HUGE SCANDAL!!! 3 years later the CTV and CBC were calling it "AN ELECTION ISSUE!!!".

Every time something big happened, which made Canadians tune into the news, the first story would be Trudeau and Mulcair yelling about Duffygate, and the MSM flunkies would say "Oh my gosh this is soooo serious don'cha know."

The Dems and their media cohort didn't have a real hint of a scandal but they saw how well it worked on Harper so they made one up.

The magnitude of the SNC scandal and the WE scandal are off the charts by comparison to Duffygate, but the media here painted a very different picture.

Nothing sticks against Trudeau because the MSM won't stand for it, but maybe the PCs are staying quiet because they've had their turn at the trough.

He didn't do it 'to jam emergency lines', that's just an accusation.

Crimes were happening, and calling 911 starts a record of each crime.

perhaps people were calling 911 to report the emergency of Justin Trudeau being a criminal tyrant

the Canadian state run media behaving like the KGB

while the Canadian police viciously beat up peaceful protestors like the East German Stasi

Not a very smart thing to do,  should have used i have a drinking problem and am seeking help...Maybe , just maybe we can call out all the stupid shit that happened during the convoy, including the cover ups, and rhetoric coming out of both sides, the over reaction for all political strips, that is still going on... and this is democracy, i don't know what is next but this democracy is not working very good...
