Yes. So why would you think it's vaccine mandates and not other factors such as population density, culture, politics or genetics that might explain why Canada might do better than some countries in particular stats and worse than others?

because that doesn't fit his freedom hating confirmation bias

Yes that is true, but you are talking about before a high percentage of residents and staff were vaccinated.  That was especially bad in 2020,  two years ago when Covid first began.

Canada couldn't mandate any vaccines early on because the government was very slow to procure enough doses...and wasted valuable time with China (CanSino fiasco).   Canada still has no domestic supplier of approved Covid vaccine.

You can't have it both ways.  You either kill people with Covid or you save their lives with some restrictions when health authorities advise.  Guess you want people to die.

you can have it both ways

the mandates and restrictions are killing more than they save

guess you want people to die on top of being stripped of their God given rights

Why do you? Adverse affects of the "vaccine" such as Myocarditis kill people. The suicide rate (especially among young people) sky rocketed during the mandates.

Why do you want to kill children?

People don't die from myocarditis.  It is rare and it is treatable.  I don't think people are committing suicide.  But thousands of people could die if there are no restrictions and mandates.

You're the one who seems to not care about protecting people from Covid.  You want to be "free" from health restrictions.

Nonsense.  A large number of people die every day from Covid in Canada.  That is not happening from myocarditis or suicide.

more people are dying of suicides and overdoses than the lives being saved by mandates and restrictions

that's what happens when you implement a "cure" that is worse than the disease

Canada's nursing homes have worst record for COVID-19 deaths among wealthy nations: report

Exactly. Restrictions cover bureaucratic arses for inept and incompetent management and not doing much else. For the society, an unnecessary and arbitrary distraction from real problems. And now the emergency powers, the system is clearly going off the sanity rails.

You don't know what you're talking about.

Quote

Myocarditis is an inflammatory condition of the heart muscle that has a bimodal peak incidence during infancy and adolescence or young adulthood.1-4 The clinical presentation and course of myocarditis is variable, with some patients not requiring treatment and others experiencing severe heart failure that requires subsequent heart transplantation or leads to death.

And it isn't just Myocarditis.

"The average number of adverse event reports following vaccination for the past 10 years has been about 39,000 annually, with an average of 155 deaths. That’s for all available vaccines combined. The COVID jabs alone now account for 983,756 adverse event reports as of December 17, 2021, including 20,622 deaths — and this doesn’t include the underreporting factor, which we know is significant

Children are at risk for potentially lifelong health problems from the jab. Myocarditis (heart inflammation) has emerged as one of the most common problems, especially among boys and young men."

Sure the club can manage benevolently, wisely and generously (out of your pocket of course, and whose else?) only while the good times last. But they don't last forever as we know much as we hoped otherwise. And when the times turn not so good, you've got it all: emergency states, extraordinary powers, police, more police riot police, limitations of gatherings, constraints on freedom of speech (whatever remained of it anyways) and ... who knows? We'll just have to see where it goes, from here and how it ends (if).

Welcome to your new democracy Canada. Sure, you're fully worth it. And you worked so hard for it.
