He had already banned Chinese travellers by Feb dude.

Yeah, Trump is always ready to ban foreigners from entering the US.

Remember waaay back a couple days ago when you guys had no problem agreeing with one another that Trump did the bestest job when everyone was just talking about his banning flights?

Now its all about Chinese travellers and foreigners and its not so black and white.  Amazing how much a little serving of pee on your guys pancakes screws you up.

It's a lot more serious than that for Canada and other middling players.   Freeland begging Trump for masks from 3M is chicken feed compared to much larger globalization "blowback":

In homes and hospitals across the country, Canadians are now directly encountering the existential threat that authoritarian forces pose to their lives. As leaders navigate public health and economic crises caused by COVID-19, our foreign policy establishment has opportunity to dispense with ideological fantasies of post-nationalism, and embrace the reality that nations are comprised of citizens, borders and interests

Yeah ok eyeball, Argus and I have agreed on some things about Trump over the past few days. Bill Maher, Rachel Maddow and Don Lemon just announced that they are going to campaign for Trump. Trudeau recently acted in a manner that benefitted Canadians. The Rothschilds and Morgans are giving away all their money. Charlie Sheen is becoming a monk. Dogs around the world have stopped peeing on fire hydrants. AOC said something intelligent.

If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

Nah you just have your head up Trumps ass.  Trump likelier had to beg Freeland not to keep raw materials 3M needs in Nanaimo.

Get a clue...much of 3M's mask manufacturing is from China with pulp and polyester sourced there.

How do I know ?    My son works in that 3M division.

Your government was begging Trump for all the world to see.    They must like being "up Trumps ass".

Supplies also come from Nanaimo and you could lose China any day given the way Trump trades.

"Supplies" come from all over the world, which is the point of the MacLeans article.

Nanaimo is mice nuts compared to China.

The U.S. and China are big dogs.....Canada is more bark than bite.

The salient point is that 3M resumed shipping masks to Canada and the US and China are sick as dogs.

Arf arf.

Sometimes dogs get what they want if they beg hard enough.    Freeland is use to that by now.

He stayed home because that is precisely what every person in a household with an infected person is expected to do. Maybe Trudeau should have kicked his wife out, would that have made you feel better?

Probably, because then you'd have even more to complain about.

He is the fuvking leader of the country, he should not have been hiding under the wife's dress.

Actually canada is the only country that produces a certain paper for those masks. China and the US should be very careful.

No, China and the U.S. will not be careful.   They will be very forceful in the pursuit of nation state interests, and Canada should be doing the same.

Typical 3M N95 particulate masks components...not so special:

Straps – Thermoplastic Elastomer

Nose Clip – Aluminum

Nose foam - Polyurethane

Filter – Polypropylene

Shell – Polyester

Coverweb - Polyester

Pik if your neighbour's wife was infected would you let her husband into your house?  Would you want him anywhere near your kids or grand-kids or vulnerable elderly parents?  If you saw him in a local grocery store would you freak out or remain calm and secure in your ability to reason that if its okay for the fucking leader to be out in public virus be damned then why not everyone who lives in an infected house?

Why do you people insist on letting your ridiculous partisan dumb-fuckery obliterate your ability to engage your brains before putting your stupid mouths in gear?

And what about you scribblet, what happens when you put yourself in the shoes of someone you know lives in an infected household?

In any case I still understand you perfectly well.

And he is.

We still have thousands of people crossing the border from the US, returning from holidays, and there is NO screening for them at all.

There are currently no public health officials stationed at Canada-U.S. land border crossings to assist in screening for COVID-19, Global News has learned. The union that represents border officers has been asking the government to place health officials at all major land border crossings for weeks, but so far nothing has been done, said union president Jean-Pierre Fortin. “Zero. Zero presence,” Fortin said.

In this Globe report we learn of just how badly the federal government, in particular, failed us in ignoring repeated advice about preparing for an epidemic, in losing track of what it had stockpiled or even what it should have stockpiled, and in ignoring the epidemic for months despite plenty of evidence it was dangerous and likely to spread worldwide.

Despite the prescience of such warnings, Canada and many other governments around the world significantly underestimated the severity of the coronavirus.

As recently as late January, federal officials, including Dr. Tam, said the threat of a major outbreak in Canada was very low, that measures such as travel restrictions weren’t needed, and that the risk of the virus being spread by people without symptoms was highly unlikely.

“Canada’s risk is much, much lower than that of many countries,” Dr. Tam told MPs in Ottawa on Jan. 29, a month after the government was alerted to the outbreak at a market in Wuhan, China. This was four days after a man had arrived in Toronto from Wuhan and became the country’s first case of the disease.

“It’s going to be rare,” she said. “It doesn’t matter how few those cases are, we are preparing the whole country in the event that you might pick up a rare case.”

The stark contrast between the government’s early assessment of COVID-19 a few months ago and the catastrophe it has become is raising uncomfortable questions about the warnings made years ago by health officials. It appears warnings were either played down, forgotten, or ignored by government, putting front-line medical workers at heightened risk and health authorities marshalling every available resource just to catch up.

Trudeau’s continued inaction is an abomination.  Businesses still haven’t received relief money.  Individuals out of work still haven’t received relief money.  Some hospitals in Toronto are running low on supplies.  People are losing their livelihoods.  Some businesses will go bankrupt before they can reopen.  The Prime Minister must act!

No you have it backwards, go back and see for yourself.  In any case the point stands that you and Argus were in near perfect agreement when you both parroted the same mistaken belief  and when your illusions were exposed as being just that an illusion your heads imploded.
