Trudeau delivers more meaningless platitudes about dialogue and sharing while the protestors give him the middle finger. Even the Mohawk chief has said the blockade should end, but those boys are having fun and they've got Trudeau in a box. No doubt they think they can squeeze a few million out of him to let the trains go on. Trudeau's words later were kind of indicative of his personality when he decided to hold a meeting with opposition leaders - but not Andrew Scheer, the leader of the opposition. He said Scheer disqualified himself because of his 'unacceptable speech'. I know Trudeau deeply admires China's basic dictatorship but he doesn't get to say anyone's speech is unacceptable because it isn't up to him to accept it or not.

Several bands have already spoken up against the influx of NGO bought protestors, environmental warriors, guilt-ridden whiteys and various other groups hoping to capitalize on the media coverage - but you have to hunt hard and long to find coverage about it and don't bother going anywhere near the liberal bought cbc or the extreme left tyee.  BC's Premier Horgan had Extinction Rebellion thugs outside his home this morning.  Now I am no fan of Horgan's but that type of behavior is waaay beyond the pale. The time has come for a united Indigenous voice soundly condemning these thugs and telling the rest of the hangers-on and wanna be seen on FB types to go home.

Listened to some CBC news this afternoon so heard from one of the BC Native MLAs , Ellis Ross, who spoke out in favour of the pipeline.  He said it brings jobs and prosperity and has allready lifted them above the poverty line.    I wish I could find the clip of this but can't find it, maybe it's too early.

Meanwhile Trudeau wants us to patient and wait, but he's such a child, now he won't allow Scheer to be part of the cabinet talks.

Didn't Harper do exactly this just 7 years ago.  I guess if someone hates Trudeau enough they hate the things he does even if Harper did them too.

Business associations band together to urge federal action on rail blockades

OTTAWA -- The heads of Canada's major business associations have banded together to urge the government to address the ongoing protests and rail blockades that have shut down much of the country's rail system.

In a letter sent to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday, the heads of the Business Council of Canada, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business and Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters all demanded the government take action – and fast.

"The damage inflicted on the Canadian economy and on the welfare of all our citizens mounts with each hour that these illegal disruptions are allowed to continue," the letter says.

"Each additional day rail lines are disrupted requires three to four days for supply chains to recover. This is why it is imperative that the Government act now to get the Canadian economy moving again."

This is how it's going to go with the Thunberg Cult, they're gonna charge in and trample every complex deal with their dogma

Thus how they will jump the shark, giving some future government a mandate to crush them at the behest of Beijing

Also this is more about politics and issues between the various Chiefs.. read this...https://www.jlsreport.com/.../16/wolves-in-fancy-blankets/

Terri Tiljoe

I see all these posts supporting a few OW Hereditary Chiefs but what I don't see is the Wetsuweten people speaking up about how this office operates. I get it though, I live on Westbank First Nation, I see exactly how opportunities are disbursed based on whether you are "one of them" or "one of us". Luckily, I also lived up in Houston BC and know first hand about the motives of some of the OW Hereditary Chiefs.

My husband is the late Larry Tiljoe, a member of the Witset Band, Gilseyhu Clan and Unistoten "family" line. The Tiljoe family have lived and worked, off reserve, in the Houston area their entire lives. Larry's father is Russell Tiljoe, Russell's father was Alex Tiljoe, the late Chief Namox. Larry's mother Elsie, is the granddaughter of Christine Holland, the late Chief Knedebeas. Elsie and Larry both hold trapline rights along the pipeline within Knedebeas territory and the family has a long standing and significant connection to the land in and around Houston and the Knedebeas territories.

In 1993, we started a silviculture business, Nadina Mountain Contracting, located within the Morice Forest District. Our goal was to become a sustainable First Nation contractor who harvested, replanted and rejuvenated the areas we harvested. We managed our contracts and ensured their successful completion and established solid working relationships with local forestry industry key players. We employed many people from Moricetown to Burns Lake, both Native and non-Native. We were employed full time managing the land and forest health, building our business. Then the Office of the Wetsuweten of the Hereditary Chiefs came along.    cont...

Somebody has found the silver lining in all of this....could be Trudeau's welcomed undoing (government falls).

The worse it gets, the more likely that Trudeau is turfed.

This is why I see the collision course if the Mohawks were to not back down at some point

Because the Liberals don't like to lose, and this will jump the shark with the general public at some point in the not too distant future

This is why I think the Mohawks are ultimately bluffing on this one, because I can't see them wanting to bring the squishy soft Liberals down when they have them cowed

They spent five years consulting and got agreement from all the elected chiefs and band councils, and the tribes also had a referendum. What more do you expect?

I expect the Crown to consult with the Aboriginal rights holders for the whole territory. It's the law.

BC refused ... quite rudely.

The feds are requesting that now.

Immature hotheads like Scheer are not useful when there's real work to be done.

No, and the last old lady I saw walking the street didn't either.

Scheer could end up Prime Minister out of this if the Mohawks don't back down.

With the Supreme Soviet locking him out of the negotiations, he's the only one who is not wearing this if it blows up into a bigger fiasco

The One Big Problem With A Zero-Growth Economy

ET call home.

Good article, lots of solutions and frames the problems nicely but certainly doesn't rule it out, in fact it makes clear the need to stop growing will become more obvious as we simply run out of planet to exploit without end.

Funny you should mention The One Big Problem, debt, and ET, in the same breath. Your panic might make more sense if a fleet of alien motherships were in orbit were demanding repayment or else.

At least. All those white kids with dreadlocks, pretty sure they're about environmentalism and just piggy-backing on the Native issue. Probably think it'll get them more time in front of the cameras.

I read somewhere that some didn't even know what would be going through the pipeline. All they're doing is alienating the public. I won't be surprised when the Native protesters put the run on them.

Bloody white trash is what they are. All brought up on white bleeding heart guilt ridden leftist liberal bull chit propaganda. As long as this country remains under the control and influence of liberalism this country will only get worse. The liberals and the NDP socialists gave us these school conditioned and trained anti-pipeline white scum zombies. They are part of the George Soros gang of commie thugs who are trying to de-industrialize Canada. And our dear leaders are going along with these eco terrorists. Hell, even Scheer would not do a dam thing about this pipeline fiasco. Scheer is probably in bed with Soros just like emperor Trudeau is. When the law is pushed aside, tyranny will soon follow. It looks like that tyranny is here in Canada now.

See, the Soviet Union was a democratic republic

Soviet means Council.  You elected the leader of your local Soviet and its like a pyramid with a Supreme Soviet at the top.

The USSR also had a written constitution with enshrined rights, what the Bolsheviks simply did was suspend it in a permanent state of military emergency

The English word community if translated into Russian apparently means the word communism. And how many times do we see and hear people on TV saying the word community all the time. They are actually saying that they are living and are a part of a communist community.

In Canada we have what is called the Charter Of Rights which says that we all have rights and protection to our freedom of expression. We also have the Human Rights Commission and hate laws that can and do indeed and have done many times override the COR. So, the COR says on the one hand that we have a right to our freedom of expression, and on the other hand, we really do not have any right to freedom of expression. Our politicians really do have us all coming and going. Lol. It's just the same thing with this pipeline bull chit. The politicians tell us that they are going to fix the pipeline mess, but in reality they appear to not be trying very hard to fix the problem at all. What's the hurry, eh? Let Canada go down the bloody tubes. ;)

"In all of us command" ; good riddance.

It might as well go down the tubes. I doubt that there would be all that many Canadians that would care about it or would even do anything about it anyway. Do we see any groups of patriotic Canadians out there by the hundreds or thousands taking on these terrorists today? NOPE. While Canada burns, the majority of non-terrorist Canadians just go about their daily business and routine and prefer to not get involved. As long as I am alright for now, I will not get involved. Patriotism in Canada is pretty much dead. Good riddance is right. Only tyranny now runs and prevails in this country. Aw well. What more can be said, eh?

Canada was not the sun, Canada was not the rain, Canada was simply an archaic British Imperial agreement called Confederation

To keep the French in, the Americans out, and the Indians down.

Canada was totally obsolete, even before it died a quiet death which nobody even noticed.

Now I know the main reason as to why there are so many zombie looking dead people still walking around here in Canada. The question now is why have they not all fallen down yet. Lol.
