The road to 2020

That's incorrect.  Nothing in the budget receives less money than it did the year before.  Perhaps a cut in the rate of growth is what you mean.  Regardless, 33B and 85B are chump change when you're talking about an 500-800 billion dollar deficit and 20 trillion dollar debt.  Bernie's plans do nothing except make all of it much much worse.

People ask 'How would you pay for healthcare'  the answer?  Easy, stop all the wars and that money can be used to pay for health care 100%, education 100% and get all the homeless off the street.

America's priority is the war machine.  Let me know when the government offers the same kind of bailouts to the American people as they do for the banksters/financiers (bail out of 2008) and can easily find a few hundred billion to continue the wars.

Why is everyone afraid of socialism? The US loves corporate socialism.  Military socialism. But education and health care? Nuts.

But I already put something in the Trump thread regarding the budget. And yes the Military gets 33B increase and the Health care sector looses 85B a year.

Here are the links  https://www.cnbc.com/2019/07/30/pentagon-happy-about-new-defense-budget.html

This one will show the decrease in healthcare spending.

So we won't be hearing from Gabbard for a couple weeks.

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/gabbard-takes-presidential-campaign-break-for-army-training/ar-AAFKMu1

This is what serving your nation looks like.  Can't say that for any other candidate. Democratic or Republican.

HONOLULU - Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii is taking two weeks off from her 2020 Democratic presidential campaign to participate in Army National Guard training.

Gabbard announced the two-week break in a statement Monday. She will return to the campaign trail on Aug. 25.

Gabbard is a major in the Army National Guard who has served in the military for more than 16 years and deployed to Iraq in 2004 and Kuwait in 2008.

She will be participating in a joint-training exercise with the Indonesian military. Gabbard says she is “grateful to be able to serve our country and the American people in many ways, including as a soldier.”

I think it's awesome that in a party that's so full of far-left nutjobs that seem to get the majority of press for their horrible ideas and comments, one of the more rational people is the frontrunner in the election process.

Thing is that Americans will go to the polls with a stronger America and a healthier economy than they had 4 years ago, and that's even after they finally stood up for themselves against China on trade. Even Chuck "I hate Trump" Schumer admitted that China needed to face the music.

Also, a lot of people who voted for the Dems in the last mid-terms, while the spectre of Russian collusion was still front and center on the news every day, will now fee jilted/lied to by the left and their MSM cohorts. The petty levels of obstruction, which didn't amount to any hampering of the investigation at all as per the opinions of Mueller himself and Barr, are no substitute for actual proof of collusion. Intelligent Americans want something to show for that investigation to prove that it wasn't just a smear campaign/witch hunt. So far they have zilch.

Ricketty old Biden can't beat a strong President who has benefitted the country in a big way.

That is Trump's talking point, and it is not wrong. However, that $400 cheque will not fly with the swing voters. They hate the 'chaos.'

The chaos is imaginary.

2+ years of "TRUMP COLLUDED WITH RUSSIA!" turned into, "OK he didn't, BUT HE OBSTRUCTED JUSTICE!", and then "ok he didn't obstruct justice, BUT WALLS ARE STILL RACIST!", and finally "ok that's stupid but WE STILL HATE TRUMP!"

I could easily tolerate Gabbard as president of the USA.  I don't agree with her on much, but some things I do.  That said, she's the only honest and person running for the Dems.

That's what I get out of her as well. I really would hope she's the real deal. But I would not be surprised if she ends up just to be like any other politician.  She would be a great VP to Sanders in my opinion.

That's because she's not a crazy Communist.

Why is it that tomorrow they could find 50 billion for perpetual wars or bailing out corrupt banks that were to big to fail, but they cannot fine 1B for healthcare, because ...socialism?

They can't find the money.  They have a 20 trillion dollar debt, and a several hundred billion dollar deficit.  And that's without Bernie's massive new spending on "free" health care, and "free" education, even for people in the country illegally.

Omfg GH, you have the wisdom of a small child.

If all Americans had health care but Germany won WWII would we be better off?

Should the US just get a really good twitter account and tgen they won’t need fighter planes anymore? Maybe Trump is way ahead of you on that one.

OMG, there you go again with your wisdom.

“Gabbard is the best because she’s taking time off of being the leader of the free world to go camp in a tent and shoot blanks at other kids!”

LMAO

So, if she’s elected President, and they need peacekeepers in Angola, does she stay and run the country or does she go dig latrines and carry sandbags?

What is so hard with addressing what I posted instead of addressing what you THINK I posted?

But the government can find 1 trillion tomorrow for more war effort.  If Trump wanted 50 B tomorrow for more war, he'll get it.

The problem is that you don't understand the net effect of what you posted. You're one of about 4 people here who just heard a big "swoosh" when they red that, and that's only if Bastile John reads posts in threads that he didn't start.

You know how those crazy sayings like "a stitch in time saves nine" never made any sense to you? This is one of those things. You can't let the world go to hell in a handbasket and then just miraculously put all the toothpaste back in the tube.

Yes GH, the US could fund healthcare, stop military spending and just see what happens. See what China does when they're the ones with the best nukes and the best missile defences and the biggest navy and the best fighter planes..... They've got such a great human rights track record in their own country, I'm sure they'll be just as nice if they control the world.

So fighting China is more important for the USA than providing universal healthcare for it's own citizens. Again proves my notion that war is more important to the USA compared to anything else.

Guess what is needed the most for wounded soldiers returning from the battlefield?     Healthcare.

Another huge Trump rally...this time in the solid blue state of Hew Hampshire.

Record crowds in attendance beating Elton John and a few other major stars in that regard. I personally counted over 300,000 watching the rally on 6 different live streams.

Joe Biden also had a rally...his biggest so far with a few thousand in attendance. The pundits said 6,000...but realists said much lower than that.

No other Democrat candidate has come close to Joe re: crowds.

KAG 2020...Dems have a BIG hill to climb.

Wrong again. If you have a strong enough military then you don't get attacked.

Would Canada attack the US? Nope. Not even if we wanted to (explain that to Bastile John). It would be suicide.

Would Iran attack Canada if they were our neighbour instead of the US? Yup. All the women in this country would be wearing hijabs and those of us who didn't convert to islam would be dead or enslaved.

If you don't understand these kinds of things that's ok, not everyone does. We'll just take your opinion fwiw.

It's really pathetic how weak their candidates are. That's why CNN is pushing the "all Republican voters are racists" and "Republicans force immigrants to drink from toilets" BS so hard. It's literally all they have.

Side note, if they're successful, and they manage to get Elizabeth Warren elected, would America have their first Commander in Chief who's really a Chief

As Trump pointed-out, he has more Native blood that Pocahontas and he has none.
