He fired Bolton for being a warmonger that wants to bomb Iran and stay in Afghanistan, and you attack him for it. TDS is a helluva drug, everything Trump does is wrong to these people.

Wanh, Trump doesn't want to start another war or stay in pointless wars, Wanh! What a clown show.

Funniest part is the Trump Haters used to be anti-war, but all of a sudden, if Trump doesn't want to fight a pointless war that they used to rail against, then not invading everyone means Orange Man Bad.

Y'all are crazy. As clubby would say, undercover hack b*tches.

Then why did Trump cancel the meeting with the Taliban?

If Trump didn't want War with Iran, then perhaps he shouldn't have withdrawn from a Nuclear deal with them.

GOP keeps House seat in North Carolina....the Trump magic still works.

He took that district by double digits in 2016, now the seat was won by a couple of percentage points.

The inflection point was the Iranian Revolution in 1979.

That is where and when the enemy shifted from being Godless Communist to Islamic Terrorists.

Like the Communist Bloc rubric, the Terrorists are treated as if they are a monolith too.

The Dominoes will fall one by one to the Terrorists, if Jimmy Cartuh doesn't stop them.

In actual fact, like the Communists, the terrorists are not a monolith, so will actually all just start fighting with each other, as they have since America pulled out of Iraqi-Nam.

Not really...The 1979 Iranian revolution was the penultimate architect by Carter to create that enemy. The struggle between the Tudeh party (communists) and the clergists elites (islamists) gave the clergies the upper hand... Prior to that Iran was a monarchy and an ally of US. In fact the Shah of Iran before the 1979 revolution warned of the rise of the evil forces taking over Iran. He referenced them as Reds (the communist or Tudeh party) and the Blacks (the islamists). Many of the Iranian jews were actively involved in Tudeh party

Fact is post Soviet Union collapse and the end of cold war the West needed an enemy to justify arms sales. A fictitious enemy that turned into reality. Then revitalised the concept of  my enemy’s enemy is my friend. 8 years of war ensued between two neighbouring middle eastern countries and resulted in millions of casualties....That manifested the theory.

Thank you for your considered response, but I did not mean to imply that Tehran is a Communist Regime.

The 1979 revolution was simply a Dien Bien Phu all over again.

In 1954 the fall of the French at Dien Bien Phu caused a panic, in which Eisenhower fabricated a Domino Theory.

This as you know led America into Vietnam and the Domino Theory was largely discredited in the process.

Yet at the end of the 70's, it rose like a phoenix from the ashes.

Iran became the new North Vietnam, the rest of the ME became the new South Vietnam.

It is called the Carter Doctrine, but it is the Domino Theory still, and America has been stuck in Islamo-Nam ever since.

That's because Trump wasn't running. You are comparing apples to oranges. Derp.

Can't give Trump the credit for the win and not note that the margin was much closer than when Trump ran in 2016.

Regardless, Democrat competitiveness in historically Red districts should be very concerning to the GOP.

Yes it was closer, because Trump didn't run. Presidential coattails are a thing, but it only goes so far in a non- presidential election year, and people who aren't Trump aren't going to do as well as Trump. Nothing about the outcome of the race should concern the GOP, there is nothing to be excited or worried about, it really doesn't mean anything.

How were the polls this time? Thought I read they were totally way off again, same as in 2016. Polls showed GOP would lose.

Recent polling from Inside Elections put McCready ahead of state Sen. Dan Bishop, 46 percent to 42 percent.

So much for you people and your theories.

Supreme Court backs President Trump decision on "safe haven" asylum rule:

Supreme Court allows full enforcement of asylum crackdown

(Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday granted a request by President Donald Trump's administration to fully enforce a new rule that would curtail asylum applications by immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border, a key element of his hardline immigration policies.

The court said the rule, which requires most immigrants who want asylum to first seek safe haven in a third country through which they traveled on their way to the United States, could go into effect as litigation challenging its legality continues.

Liberal Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg dissented.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration may curtail asylum applications at the southern border while a legal challenge to the new rule is litigated in court.

By a vote of 7-2, the justices said the administration can enforce a rule announced in July requiring migrants to first seek asylum in the country through which they traveled to get to the United States, commonly referred by U.S. officials as "a third country."

This one was an easy slam dunk, what possible dissent could Sotto and RBG have?  Pure partisan hack vote.

The fact that there was any dissent on this at all is why 5-4 is good but 6-3 is better,

Even Justin Trudeau has given Canada this authority ffs, they just passed in an omnibus bill that Canada doesn't have to give you a hearing if you come from third party country.

It's like the traitors to the repub, er I mean the Democrats worship Canada as this Progressive paragon while wallowing in TDS.

Meanwhile all the POTUS is saying is he wants Canada's merit based immigration system for America, with the same rules on refugees that Canada follows.

Methinks the Supreme Court is sending a not so subtle message that the numerous district and appellate court challenges to delay constitutional actions at the U.S. border is getting tiresome.   The open borders communists will still try to welcome illegals crashing the border, but the courts will not always save them.

Playing games state-by-state border won't work anymore.

If only they would do that with all of Blue Team's blatantly unconstitutional bullshit, that's why 6-3 is better, I don't just want the Democrats stopped, I want them to suffer.

If RBG buys the farm while Trump is president, you will see all hell break loose for the next associate justice appointment.

Ginsburg has her own personal trainer and works out like Sly Stallone in Rocky just to hang on as long as she can.

She's a tough "old broad"...will die hard.

30% chance of 5-year survival for her level of pancreatic cancer.

So she knows it is going to kill her sooner than later, but you have to admire her spiteful drive to hang on long enough to beat Trump at this game.

I lost admiration for RBG long ago, when the left starting going off the deep end into totalitarianism and she started enabling it.

Ginsburg's naked partisanship has actually made it easier for Trump to stack the deck with equally partisan conservatives.

Clarence Thomas could/would also retire to strategically help the right.

I love it when a plan comes together.
