Because government should not be killing babies to save money.   It is a conflict of interest, to say the least.

Government could save a lot more money by aborting senior citizens.   Great idea ?

Bizarre actually.

In any event, I'm pretty sure many of Trumps voters are in for a rude awakening when they can no longer access abortion services.

In my country, the Hyde Amendment funding bill rider permits federal funding for abortions to protect the life of the mother, or in cases of rape/incest.

There is no open season on killing unborn with federal government money.   This compromise was reached almost 40 years ago.

Nobody thinks Leo and Neil are going to save us and nobody elected them president, even though one wrote After the Gold Rush, which is one of the best songs ever. That's a really crappy analogy.

Well, I'm glad you and I don't, anyway.

I was speaking to the fact that people seem to endow celebrities with some kind of wisdom earned solely due to their status. What they do with them after that is their choice.

After the Goldrush isn't even the best song on the album.

Really ?  Before Bush closed easy access to the U.S. border, about 6,000 Canadian women sought abortions in the U.S. each year.

Why didn't they have easy "access" to abortions in their own country ?

If they have the same cognitive abilities as a foetus?

It probably won't be long.

It's pretty easy where I live. No questions asked.

OK, but it was not "easy" for other Canadian women.  How do you explain this circumstance vis-a-vis easier access to abortions in the United States ?

Yep....they already tried forced sterilizations.    Saving taxpayer money can justify all kinds of things....including abortions.

What does forced sterilization have to do with seniors?  Should Michael Douglas be forced to do this?  Oh no wait. He's loaded.

Google "abortion tourism" + "Canada" + "women"

Despite all the abortion bluster, access to abortions is still far better in the United States, as was access to prescription day-after abortifactants.   Trump did not cause any of the existing states and federal funding protocol for abortions on demand.

Bush inadvertently shut down the easy breezy Canadian women's abortion highway to the U.S. by requiring a valid passport or crossing card.   It's just another form of cross border shopping I guess...a Canadian Charter Right.

Knowledge of the New York real estate market?  A hypersensitive, resentful, petty, vindictive personality which refuses to admit when he's wrong? A lousy businessman who rips off his suppliers and partners and doesn't understand why he should consider costs and cash flow when borrowing money to pour out on a new project? Nice hair?

Donald Trump is like a salve for cultural hypersensitivity that has gone on for so long now, it's become a like dry rash. The demands of the left for their brand of "equality" has approached an insane level. His election represents an iconic "middle finger" to political correctness. Some folks insist there should be freedom of speech, but only if you say things that they permit to be said, in a way they want them to be said.

Well, here's a flash bulletin for you people: Donald Trump represents a shift in the political spectrum, and it is now resonating around the world. Why? Because people don't want globalization. They want to protect their culture, and while you may call that bigotry, I say I have the right to say those kind of things. Even if you find my attitude "disgusting".

I prefer to think of it as alleviating suffering.  Any savings made along the way are incidental.

So true.....Donald Trump is good medicine for political and cultural discourse that had become so bunged up by PC "feelings" crowd.   A stand up comic can no longer do routines on campus for fear of triggering people who were not even in the audience.  The progressive snowflakes lay in wait for any opportunity to pounce on any perceived transgress...in any context.

Trump has made it OK to breath again without fear of triggering a PC seizure.   Trump is a New Yorker...."You talking to me ?"

Americans have easier access to abortions than many Canadians (e.g. PEI).

The most distant remote point in PEI is 160 miles from Moncton, and for the bulk of the island population it is less than 100 miles. Are you telling me there is no place in the US that is more than 100 miles from an abortion clinic? Ever been to Ely, Nevada. How about Wyoming or Montana.

Yes, Donald Trump is the necessary next evolutionary step for mankind. Well, for Americans anyway.

True.  About the only lefty who came from stardom to politics that I can think of was Glenda Jackson.

The alt-left has already been shown a lesson in how the real world works.   Hillary Clinton will never be U.S. President.

The left or whatever passes for the that these days still needs to learn that Hillary ain't the left. Never was and never will be.

Which means nothing since most of Hollywood and 'celebrities' in general were VERY MUCH pro-Hillary...to a fault at times...Cher.

Well, most celebrities are left leaning.  It's probably something to do with being artistic.

There are exceptions.  Clint Eastwood is very good, but he leans to the right, I believe.

I think in some cases, Reagan, for example, it's not the celebrity who became a politician, so much as the politician who just happened to also once be a celebrity.

The left didn't want Hillary for president. They wanted Bernie.
