Even if you don't get the evidence you're looking for, this investigation will drag on into the 2018 election at least. It's not going away. It's Trump's Bengazi. Incidents that happened long before Trump ever became President. The Mule had to get something on someone to make him look like he was doing something with the tens of millions of American tax dollars that he is blowing every day. This is a witch hunt and nothing more. The Mule has been accused of being involved in a scandal or two himself. Maybe Trump should have a special investigation on the Mule. The Mule just may be the one going to jail one day if the truth will ever get out about him. Hopefully, this will open a can of worms on this crook also. Many can only hope. Just saying. Quote

Ignored the operative that pleaded guilty for lying to the Mule. Now that he's been flipped, I wonder what evidence against Trump he's given. And how many more people in the Trump campaign have lied to "The Mule" to cover for Trump and now have to play ball with the FBI to stay out of jail. Also what does it say about Trump that he made a guy his campaign chair that was neck need in Russia ties. He either knew meaning he's guilty or his just a puppet that had no idea who was running his campaign. It's either or. Edited October 30, 2017 by Boges Quote

And we must all thank God that she never did become President of the USA. She has been pointed out many times by Trump that she is nothing more than a crook and a liar, and a deep state supporter. Hopefully this Uranium One deal will finally get her where the American people want her? In jail. Trump said he'd get her in jail? Why hasn't he? He clearly lied to his supporters that he'd "LOCK HER UP". Now he's begging to some mysterious person on Twitter to "DO SOMETHING". I thought he was the president? Why can't he do anything? He's clearly a feckless leader right? Edited October 30, 2017 by Boges Quote
Boges Posted October 30, 2017 Report Posted October 30, 2017 http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/30/politics/who-is-george-papadopoulos/index.html Quote In late April, Papadopoulos learned about the "dirt" on Clinton, and the following day he emailed a senior campaign policy adviser: "Have some interesting messages coming in from Moscow about a trip when the time is right," according to the statement. Papadopoulos continued to email high-ranking campaign officials about a request from Russia to meet Trump. In May, Papadopoulos sent an email to a "high ranking Campaign official" with subject line "Request from Russia to meet Mr. Trump." The email said Russia was eager to meet with the candidate and have been reaching out. In a footnote, the statement notes that the email was forwarded between campaign officials and who wrote they should discuss: "We need someone to communicate that DT is not doing these trips. It should be someone low level in the campaign so as not to send any signal." The statement does not explain who the campaign officials were concerned about sending signals to. I wonder what those Campaign officials said in response. "The Mule" must have access to all this information. This is just the beginning. Quote

And she's still trying to make her self relevant with her new book blaming everyone else but herself for the failed campaign. She was the US Secretary of State under Obama, and if she committed crimes while in that office it should be investigated, yes. More to the point, the attitude that any discussion with Russians implies some form of high treason is totally naive. It is quite normal to have those discussions. The strong anxiety toward Russia really only kicked into high gear recently, with the problems in the Ukraine. Prior to that, the Russians were seen as allies in US-Russia relations. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russia–United_States_relations Relations between Russia and the U.S. remained generally warm under Russia's president Boris Yeltsin and the U.S. George H. W. Bush′s and then Bill Clinton's administrations in the 1990s. During the first presidencies of Vladimir Putin, who assumed the top office, first as acting president, on the last day of 1999, and United States president George W. Bush, the United States and Russia began to have serious disagreements. Under Putin, Russia became more assertive in international affairs; under Bush, the U.S. took an increasingly unilateral course in its foreign policy in the wake of the September 11 attacks. Despite U.S.-Russia relations becoming strained during the Bush administration, Russian president Dmitry Medvedev(president from May 2008 until May 2012, with Vladimir Putin as head of government) and U.S. president Barack Obama struck a warm tone at the 2009 G20 summit in London and released a joint statement that promised a "fresh start" in Russia-United States relations. Days after president Obama's visit to Moscow, U.S. vice president Joe Biden, noting that the U.S. was "vastly underestimating the hand that it held", told an U.S. newspaper that Russia, with its population base shrinking and the economy "withering", would have to make accommodations to the West on a wide range of national-security issues. Biden's words were interpreted as "reaffirming the U.S. commitment to the principle that Russia does not have the right to a sphere of influence in these countries, or anywhere in the former Soviet Union". Friedman pointed up a fundamental error in the analysis that underlay such thinking and predicted, "We suspect the Russians will squeeze back hard before they move off the stage of history". So that is it in a nutshell but as you can see there were many years in which US-Russia relations were positive, and things were heading the right way but turned sour again. Nevertheless there are still a good diplomatic relations between Russia and the west. Quote
Hal 9000 Posted October 30, 2017 Report Posted October 30, 2017 As of right now, yes, it is irrelevant. I would think that everyone at that level of politics or business has ties to many countries, it doesn't mean collusion. It doesn't say much, other than he gave wrong dates for a few meetings. He gave "false and misleading statements" during a voluntary interview. In other words, he was not forced by pressure of the law to have this interview. My guess is he may not have had a lawyer present at this stage, and set himself up for charges. If you can charge low level Trump ops with lying then flipping them, you can get a lot of information. Trump hasn't tweeted since this came out,as of Monday evening. This has clearly rattled him.
