The issues of Lincoln and FDR were not about gross incompetence and corruption.

Oh yes they were if you read political discourse of the day.

Just because you are alive during President Trump's term doesn't make it more controversial.

Sit back and enjoy the show....that's what Canada has always done.   No other choice.

No other desire. We had a similar problem with a city of 2.8 million, not a nation of 330 million. Good thing a mayor doesn't have nuclear launch codes, and only concerns himself with garbage pickup and not laws of the land, etc.

Even Canada's PM doesn't have any launch codes.   And nobody would trust Justin Trudeau with any codes.

President Trump gets lots of things that other world "leaders" can only dream of.

Dreaming of murdering 100's of thousands or millions of people in an instant is not a sign of stability or sanity.

American presidents like Trump have the means and will....Canadian PMs have neither.

There are a lot of killers. We’ve got a lot of killers. What do you think? Our country’s so innocent?

See, President Trump can be very honest about such realities.   And Trudeau says the U.S. is Canada's closest ally.

Do people really find comfort in going back to 1860 to find precedents for the current turmoil?

What makes you think it's a matter of comfort?

Don't we point out to,  or use precedents for comparisons in studies?  In law?  Why shouldn't previous turmoils be exempt from being pointed out, especially when it's meant to remind, or educate others about them?

Yes...we certainly do.   Except when it is an inconvenient truth for some.

WHO is  the "nobody"? I have no problem with THIS President, but some of your remarks  on Canada or the PM are kind of immature and have no bases, especially this last one.

OK but it seems to be used to reassure people.  I don't think it should.

That would be called trolling.

I love Fox & Friends, and can take bad news better than anyone. I'd be a pretty good reporter. The facts are real, but the news is fake. I won, why the bad stories. Hillary cheated. The real subject is illegal leaks, but wikileaks are the best.

b.t.w., Putin can't do a deal with me because of the press. The reason that Russian ship is there is the American press. Hopefully I won't have to do anything about it, but I'm not going to tell the press.

President Trump is off the chain in today's press conference.   He is ripping the press a new one every chance he gets.

BTW, Russian AGI ships (Auxillary, General Intelligence) go way back to the Cold War...what was old is new again.

I certainly had to burst into laughter today as he dug into his best attempt at sincerity, lowered his voice, and assured everyone that his administration was "running like a fine tooth machine". Not only is that absurd a we all know with people either jumping ship or being thrown under the bus, but he even screwed up the comparison. The press must love him. Such an easy target.

I think he was referring to the high-tech, very classy combing machine that he uses every morning on his hair, which makes the analogy appropriate. The administration is out of control, just like his fine tooth machine.
