Or they become like the dickless British after Brexit... and demand a do-over.

We need to find a "safe space" for any Millennials that are afraid of democracy.   Also need trigger warnings for phrases like "President Trump", "Trump Administration", and "Trump agenda".   Poor dears, they were sheltered their whole lives from the meaning of winning and losing.   "Everybody gets a trophy, right ?"

Interesting:   53% of white women voters went for Trump, not Clinton.  Now that's what I call grabbing some "pu**y".

Maybe it would make them feel better if Hillary gets a "lost the election" trophy!

I don't think people are upset so much that Hillary lost, but that the Right is so consumed with hate for Hillary that they would go scorched earth.

Hillary only has herself to blame...she couldn't even beat Donald Trump.

You'd figure after he shellacked all the Republican 'best and the brightest' the rest would have clued-in.

Remember...

Jeb!

Not impressed they were...

Hotddogs don't get a vote. Millennials do, but they mostly don't bother.

Yeah, the idea that Republicans face a grim future was kind of based on the idea that millennials would actually continue to vote, but clearly Obama was a mirage.

I thought the demographics shift would favor the Democrats in this election, but I was wrong. In fact, its looking pretty grim both short term and long term:

- Trump will stock the supreme court with right-wingers (there's one vacancy now, and at least 2 judges are in their late 70s.) So the supreme court will be right wing for at least a generation

- The next set of mid-term elections have more democratic seats at risk than republicans, so they will find it difficult to make headway

- I'm not sure, but I think the next time redistricting is supposed to happen will occur within the next term. Which means that the process of gerremandering (aligning districts to favor one party over another... which recently benefits the republicans) will once again leave the Democrats with an uphill battle.

None of these necessarily illustrate any sort of weakness in the positions of the democrats. Its largely bad timing. But for the democrats it really really sucks.

The idea was nonsense from the beginning.   The GOP controlled Congress, govenorships, and state houses.   Now they have the presidency.

Millennials get old too.

Did anybody mention the impact of those wonderful protests and riots in American cities on this election ?    How about those cop killings ?  Old folks will remember what happened in 1968 and Richard M. Nixon's victory.    Young people are so much fun !

Big Atlas launch out of Vandenberg this morning. Federal property...

Below, the millennials muse about breaking away from the USA not looking-up for a second as the Atlas rockets southward. Carrying new toys to use on their cellphones/ipads...

Millenial turnout dropped by the same % from the last election as overall turnout. So millenials made up the same fraction of overall votes. But 40% of them voted for Trump. Hillary didn't inspire millenials just as she didn't inspire many others that voted for Obama last time around.

Kimmy, it looks like you are going to see a conservative bogeyman under every rock.  Trump is the president, not Pence.  He is not a republican, not a conservative and not a christian.  He's an alpha male that will not be dictated to.  Yes I know that social conservatives have their christmas lists ready to give to Trump, but the guy has been a democrat more than anything else.  Predicting the overturn of Roe v Wade is really tin foil hat territory.

Republican candidates at Value Voters Summit: "We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade!"

Republican candidates at Faith and Family Forum: "We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade!"

Republican candidates during Republican primaries: "We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade!"

Republicans at RNC: "We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade! We're going to overturn Roe v Wade!"

Republicans during general election: "Forget about abortion. That's a distraction! We need to focus on jobs and fighting ISIS and protecting our border!"

Kimmy: "They want to overturn Roe v Wade."

Sharkman: "oh come on, that's just a bogeyman."

Some Californians are toying with the idea of a Calexit. Go ahead. Last time there was an attempted secession just over 150 years ago that was a roaring success.

Look, you're just seeing what you want to.  The facts on the ground are real.  Congress won't touch gay rights because they are basically enshrined in the constitution

Well that's not true. They're not enshrined in the constitution. And while gay rights have won some court victories against some legislative efforts, they're hardly immune from pushback.

and they'll get voted out if they try.

The charge against gay rights will be led by congressmen from rural districts in red states, where being anti-gay is a very safe political position. Support for gay rights is pretty strong in urban areas, but urban areas are under-represented at the House level. Getting voted out might be a concern for Trump himself-- in 4 years-- but it won't be a worry for the red state congressmen who bring these issues to his desk expecting his signature.

Then Trump is indeed an Alpha male.  His bombastic comments on immigration, Muslims, Hillary, women he doesn't like, and all the rest should be proof enough.  But believe what you want.  It's funny, when Harper came into power the liberals all claimed he was coming after gay rights, etc.  And Harper, a REAL conservative, proved them all wrong.  Trump is neither a conservative nor a republican.  He's already got a chip on his shoulder from all of the republicans that wouldn't support him, and suddenly he's going to embrace a right wing agenda?  Dream on.

Trump is what he is. He loves being the center of attention, he loves being a celebrity, he loves being a winner.  The voters and the conservatives around him have made him the biggest center of attention on earth. He's not going to turn against them to defend some principle he doesn't actually care about. These bills will land on his desk, and he'll sign them because he isn't going to fight with the people who gave him the gig he's always dreamed of.

As for whether he's really an "alpha male"...  personally, I think he doth protest too much.   As Tywin Lannister put it, "A man who must say 'I am the king!' is no true king."   I don't think anybody who was actually as successful in business as Trump wanted people to believe he was would need to go around telling people he was successful or threatening to sue people who questioned his success. I don't think anybody who was truly "alpha" would be so hypersensitive about supposed insults. I don't think a real "star" would be so desperate to impress a goof like Billy Bush by bragging about what a big "star" he is. Same with the Howard Stern interviews... you could just tell how badly he wanted Stern and his audience to think he was a Cool Guy. I don't think anybody who's actually secure about his manhood needs to go around telling people he has an enormous penis. To me he doesn't act like an "alpha", he acts like somebody who's actually got insecurities and has to constantly overcompensate.  But, you know, that's just my hunch.

Bottom line is, "alpha" or not, this "movement" has made him the biggest "star" on earth, and he's not going to turn against it.
