BC_chick
Reported on CTV this morning that 2 suicides have been attributed to the leak of those names. Authgorities are now offering a reward $500,000 for information on who did this - Yes - half a $million. Some folks may not be sleeping very well tonight. I feel bad for all the people who were exposed in this scandal. Having said that, I cannot bring myself to feel one iota of pity for the ones who committed suicide. That's worse than the cheating, IMO. Total coward move.
Shady
I don't feel sorry for anybody caught actively trying to cheat on their spouse. If you wanna have an affair, probably registering online isn't the best idea.

Isn't an international web site the exact opposite of discrete ?
On Guard for Thee
The stumble bums will as usual miss the point and get hung up on the infidelity part of the story. That ability to hack to that degree is really what is at stake here. Do you bank online?
cybercoma
You think the security at Ashley Madison was comparable to the banks?

BubberMiley
I've found it can be hard to find real people on the Internet.
WIP
Something new on the story I came across on computer geek site - Gizmodo yesterday. Computer data analyst - Annalee Newitz goes through the public information and the hack-revealed information since this scandal broke, and comes to the conclusion that: "Ashley Madison is a site where tens of millions of men write mail, chat, and spend money for women who aren’t there." Seems that even the number of female members claimed - 5.5 million, or 15% of the total membership were mostly fake ID's with employees moving data around to make some men think they were talking to real women.....how sad! Almost None of the Women in the Ashley Madison Database Ever Used the Site Edited August 29, 2015 by Charles Anthony removed quotation of entire online article
eyeball
I've found it can be hard to find real people on the Internet. Probably because the Internet makes people unreal.
Boges
I, for one, am shocked that site that advertises on porn sites and offers free prostitution is full of porn bots.
cybercoma
It wasn't filled with porn bots. It was filled with fake accounts setup by Ashley Madison staff.
blueblood
It wasn't filled with porn bots. It was filled with fake accounts setup by Ashley Madison staff. What i find funnier is that there are more and more people signing up for that site in spite if the leak. Im in the camp of if you roll the dice, sometimes it comes up snake eyes... Dozens of Manitoba government, City of Winnipeg emails part of Ashley Madison data dump. Honestly, why would you use your government email to register on a site like this. Government employees should be working, not searching the internet for affairs. Another example of taxpayers dollars hard at work. http://globalnews.ca/news/2174780/dozens-of-manitoba-government-city-of-winnipeg-emails-part-of-ashley-madison-data-dump/ That's one reason I don't believe in socialism, which requires big government and big bureaucracy to function. Governments waste millions and billions of dollars of taxpayer money. I don't trust them with my money.
