Canada will always be a mixed economy.

It's just too mega corporate under Harper, and was under the Libs too.

The balance is off.

We need governments that represent the people, working people and small-medium business people, free enterprise ... not corporate control by mega corps and banks.

.

And everyone is richer for it. Theres no "corporate control". Corporations cant vote...

Maybe a lot of people like being able to keep more of what they earn. Paul martin got it!

Harper and Martin are both corporate schills, bought and paid for.

When corporations are being subsidized by taxpayers ... corporations are in control.

How are they subsidized?

Corporations employ people and give them money. How many people do you employ?

For sure there are bad CEO's, but if they are all morons, then boards would just start hiring random dudes and paying $50,000 for their services. Obviously if there were as good, that would happen instantly.PS something doesn't make sense about you claiming that the companies is profiting 100's of millions, and that the polices are 'botched'. Those don't go together.Regardless, if you think the MBA degree is like magical fairy dust that makes you rich - then you are more than free to go get one.

Not all.

I believe our profit margin could be much higher but for our executive. Production is high.....demand is growing.......our lunch is being eaten by poor administrative policies and failed capital management processes.

MBA's are not the key to the kingdom.....birthright greases the wheels too. Corporations are NOT a meritocracy. I look around and there is a dearth of leadership and those being promoted have only a veneer of capability as they play the corporate chutes and ladders game. They are holding back corporations from success.

So mulcair is going to bring all troops home and use them as snow removers and is going to slowly shut down the oil sands. So embarrass the country in the world stage and break it in one swoop. And we know the liberals secret agenda is also destroying the military. As that one announcer said, if you wont attack ISIS who would you attack.

Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.

God. Your post reads as ridiculous as the idiots who think Harper would have troops in the streets and institute a police state.

See up thread. Oil sands subsidies ... $100/month from every taxpayer.

Corporations employ people and give them money. How many people do you employ?

I'm retired, but I employ a few people part time with house renos etc. :D

There are many useful people in society who don't employ others ... and among those who do, there are some really useless ones who bring a lot of misery to people.

Good. Their lives are at risk to puff Harper's vanity ... while he hides in a closet!

and is going to slowly shut down the oil sands.

The oil sands - CAPP - are shutting themselves down with their arrogance and aggressive behaviour: They thought that with Harper in their pocket they were just going to drive their pipelines through and expand operations wherever they wanted.

NOT f'n happening!! :)

So embarrass the country in the world stage ...

The only one embarrassing Canada on the world stage is Harper.

And putting our soldiers at risk to fight for the corporations' right to pillage natural resources over there ... is disgusting.

Don't even pretend you think it's altruistic: It's ALL about corporate profit!!

You're a pyromaniac in a field of strawmen.

Ridiculous.

Most of Canadian businesses are small-medium, good citizens and employers and contributors to society.

Large corporations, however, are often monstrous predators without conscience or humanity.

You are a deluding yourself if you think 'fighting terrorism' has anything to do with helping people: It has to do with clearing paths for corporate access to resources ... that will be stolen from those people.

Bush didn't go to Iraq to 'help people'. He went to prevent them from nationalizing their resources, privatize them so mega corps could pillage those resources.

And a lot of Iraqi civilians were murdered in the process.

Just curious but what resources did Canada gleen in Afghanistan, and what are we going to gleen from the fight with ISIS....how about from any of the missions where we sent our troops.....

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

They opened up Afghanistan for Unocal's CentGas pipeline.

Really i thought the pipe line myth was debunked long ago, you mean a pipe line that is still on the drawing boards.....any other resources we should know about......

Jacee, that has to be one of your wildest claims ever. In this world running home with our tail between our legs will totally destroy our reputation. And who is pillaging Iraqi resourses. And name me the corporations that have moved into the area. And why are you against bring these people into the 21st century, where the women are brutalized. If you took the time to learn what was done in Afghanistan.......................

Maybe you haven't heard of the exploration the USGS did in Afghanistan while the war was on. They released the report while I was in country and the Stars and Stripes had an article on it. Around 7 trillion bucks worth of various types of precious and semi precious ores. Think that was just out of the goodness of someone's heart?

It's not just about Canada, army guy. It's about the multinational 'western' corporations who want the world's resources to stay privatized rather than nationalized (ie, owned by nations of people), and the politicians like Harper who schill for them.

Bush didn't go after Saddam Hussein because of 9/11 nor to 'help the people'.

He went after Hussein because Hussein was about to nationalize Iraq ' s oil.

Bush invaded Iraq the day before the government vote to nationalize Iraq ' s oil.

Afghanistan has huge uranium deposits.

A Canadian soldier told me that, but you can Google it too.
