The Pakistan Taliban have attacked a school in Pakistan and killed about 150 children and adults in a school. Most of the students killed were children of Pakistan military people.

They claim that it is in retaliation to the Pakistan military cooperation with USA drones which have been picking off Taliban leaders in Pakistan. This is nothing new or unexpected.

What is new is that the Afghanistan Taliban have condemned the slaughter and declared that it is against Islam teachings.

So instead of retaliating against the military, they kill innocent children.

Hearts and Minds, Taliban, Hearts and Minds!

Drones may kill innocent children, but those aren't the targets.

BTW, can we agree this is terrorism or were these people just misguided and mentally ill people?

What I heard on the news was, Pakistan attacked the Taliban and their children and wives were killed so they did the same to the military kids, sad on both sides.

but hopefully you're not dumb enough to believe that, as this is standard propaganda from groups like the Taliban, Hezbollah, Hamas etc. While I'd never deny women and kids die as the result of an attack, they're collateral victims that result from guerrilla combatants hiding among them. The Taliban did this because the Pakistani army is fighting them, not because the Pakistani army sent special forces to murder the Taliban's women and children.

Perhaps you missed the part it was a military run school? It's not an excuse. It is a terrible situation regardless of what any single one of us think.

Apparently it will still all be worth it.

So disgusting. These people are heartless, mindless degenerates.

I'm also disgusted at some of the people in this forum who need to weigh in with their moral standards and score team points after this horrific event, but have in the past tried to justify the attacks by the Israeli military which have killed thousands of children. Somehow, to these morally confused people, pressing a button to launch a missile that kills children is not as bad as mowing them down with guns.

When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always. Gandhi

This ain't about Israel.

Obviously, the morality is in the intent. The dead are still dead.

How come you say you are disgusted by an action, and then immediately do that yourself?

This ain't about Israel.

It's about selective moral standards. If you want to condemn murderers, condemn them all.

Do what?

I am disgusted by the murder of any child done by any person or group.

I meant your disgust at those who would use this to score team points was immediately followed by a dig at Israel.

I have no team. My only team is justice.

I said again, I am disgusted at all murder of children. Not just some.

I can see Hudson's point. Why not the same condemnation when thousands of Palestinian children were killed by Israel forces.

Where did the Afghanistan Taliban condemn it? Is this condemnation from the same people that throw acid in little girls faces for going to school?

Because in almost all cases, they're not targeted. Their victims of Hamas' stupid urban war strategy, by putting civilians in harms way.

Amnesty International's report into the 2008 Gaza War stated that there have been numerous instances in which the IDF endangered the lives of civilians, including children, by using them as human shields. Seems Hamas isn't the only side using an urban war strategy..

I don't want to turn yet another thread into an Israeli one. What happened in Pakistan is just simply horrible and gut wrenching. Whenever children are executed, it demands a closer look at society and the rules we live by.

These people (and that's a compliment) went in there with the sole purpose of killing as many children as possible. There is no way to rationalize that.
