The Republicans are becoming more and more a party of ageing white men living in rural areas. Even though the proportion of ageing people is temporarily on a rise there is no future for a party which is considered by the larger electorate as some sort of grand-daddies' party.

Not necessarily, as George W. Bush was able to carry a much larger portion of the "coalition" demographic against John Kerry (2004). Also note that the largest (female) demographic split with a 10% margin going to President Obama, so clearly the GOP has some support from that demographic as well. Lastly, voter turnout was much lower this time around.

Toupeed Billionaire Calls for Revolution ...

Surprisingly... nothing happens...

Ya know, I am not so sure.

I think the Donald will face a good amount of backlash for this. He openly advocated for mob rule to overthrow the govt....his show, which he makes a metric shitload of cash on may go bye bye

Closer to what truth?

Jacques P was....hang on, easier to give you a link...

On the night of the referendum, Quebec came within only a few thousands of votes of separation, but the Yes side still lost. In his concession speech, Parizeau said sovereignty had been defeated by "money and the ethnic vote",

Jacque was the leader trying to get Quebec to separate, when he lost he said the above....blamed immigrants and outsiders,

I was referring to the demographoicws you posted.

Is that true?

Its all over the news on google if you type in "George accidentally voted for Obama".

Is that from the Onion, or some other unattributed source? Or did you make it up?

Didn't George W get a fairly good share of the votes from the Latinos in Texas both in 2000 and 2004 as when he was governor of Texas he made the effort heed the requests of the Latino-voters in that state? He even speaks some Spanish, doesn't he?

Yes, President Bush broke the Democrat lock on the Hispanic vote in 2004. Bush was a moderate on immigration reform, and deported far fewer "illegals" than did Obama during their first terms. George P. Bush (Jeb's son, nephew to W, grandson to H) is just now entering politics and could make some political noise in the future.
