sharkman Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 (edited) Well since 2 of your rebuttals are full of error your posts are not worthy of any further responses unless you actually add something to the discussion. And quit being so lazy, actually read the post you are quoting. Edited January 23, 2012 by sharkman Quote

bush_cheney2004 Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 I've had enough of you. Apparently the "ignore" feature doesn't block your trolling comments that are quoted from others. Why did it take you so long to figure that simple truth out? Just because your real life sucks doesn't give you the right to come on here and take it out on me and many others. I have finally decided to report you to the mods. IMO you should either be forced to cut the constant abusive trolling nonsense or be banned. Really...I think I will do likewise. Your presumptive and childish rantings about President Obama are not in keeping with the rules of this forum. I will not cease my efforts until one of these is achieved, and will start a petition if need be. I'm confident I could acquire many eager MLW signatures. Go for it...you are far too insignificant for me to bother with such a campaign on my part. I look forward to not reading your response. Amen "ignore" feature! Better late than never...I have only been here for FIVE YEARS. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
bush_cheney2004 Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Anyone else care to grade Obama so far? I give President Obama an A+ for continuing many of President Bush's policies. Disappointing left wing Americans and their wannabee Canadian counterparts was just icing on the cake. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
sharkman Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 So do you think he's done a good job on the economy? Quote
bush_cheney2004 Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 So do you think he's done a good job on the economy? Presidents have very little to do with the "economy". Federal budgets and outlays are only a part of the US economy, and are funded by the US Congress. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
sharkman Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Well that may be true, but don't Americans vote with their pocket books? Bad economy equals threat of a single term only. Quote
eyeball Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 I can't tell yet whether Obama is an improvement over the one he replaced. On whose watch did the income gap grow widest? I'd probably have to say that would count as the biggest point against either in my books. Quote I said now watch what you say they'll be calling you a radical, a liberal, oh fanatical criminal
sharkman Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 I'm surprised so few are willing to give Obama a report card. It's been 3 years, surely you've formed an opinion by now. Quote

It's been 3 years, surely you've formed an opinion by now. Report cards do not come from opinions. President Obama moderated the silly rhetoric of a left wing candidate and continued balanced policies as office holder. He can easily best any of the weak GOP candidates paraded before Americans to date with more money, the advantage (and experience) of incumbency, and an improving US employment picture. I'm gonna call this now before I get banned....President Obama wins another term. Edited January 24, 2012 by bush_cheney2004 Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

If he does win it will be with a big assist from the MSM who is totally behind him and is quite willing to help him any way they can. So about the upcoming ban, you're not planning something are you? You've been back such a short time. Quote

Why not? President Bush was savaged by the "MSM" (deserved or not), and still beat Senator Kerry in 2004. So about the upcoming ban, you're not planning something are you? You've been back such a short time. Well, my goal was 25,000 posts. Everything has been covered multiple times. Maybe I will ban myself. bush_cheney2004 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I thought you were referring tongue-in-cheek to this: No? Not at all...as that was just the usual fun and games, which has lost its novelty. I think it was member August1991 who expressed that the mere presence of Americans on the forum really skews things disproportionately, especially when aggressively reflecting back on Canada. It unnerves some people here...both the style and substance. I took about a year's break after the last POTUS election for the same reason you stated - everything has been said over and over. But I slowly found my way back. You likely won't want to stay away forever. I think we have converged on the same conclusion(s) from completely different directions, with many disagreements along the way. After thousands of my posts to achieve the same objective, you did the same with one kill shot back in December (i.e. "acting like Canada"). That really sums up the bulk of the denial behaviour. sharkman Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Ah, I see. I find I need to take time away from this forum as well, things can get a little stale. I don't think I'll ever approach that many posts, but don't let August's opinion sway you. Any forum should benefit from many perspectives and some of the sheltered Canadian college kids need to see this. Quote

Any forum should benefit from many perspectives and some of the sheltered Canadian college kids need to see this. Well, to be fair, there are many members here who are quite reasonable and congruent when expressing opinions on the nature of the CanAm economic, political, and cultural relationship. I would count you among them, but that is not to say you are a shill for America. The regulars here align along a consistent gradient of views that we can all recognize and predict to the point of boredom, myself included. I purposely set out to be The Ugly American as bait for the deep seated anxieties expressed by some Canadians in their love-hate relationship with all things 'merkin. And I'm only one out of 312 million! I would agree that a larger international contribution would add valuable perspectives. I wonder if they are still gaga for Obama. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
