guyser Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Do you have evidence the informant was the 911 operator? No one knows anything about the source. CBC does. And that is all that matters. They do not look good, but meh....Fords anger probably popped since he was scared by Marg , poor fellow. Quote
Boges Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 CBC does. And that is all that matters. They do not look good, but meh....Fords anger probably popped since he was scared by Marg , poor fellow. No evidence of this. Believe what you're going to believe but the only thing that Ford admitted was that he dropped an F-bomb because he was frustrated, He didn't berate the officer, however, according to the Chief of Police and the OPP commissioner. BTW had the CBC ombudsman not piped in a few weeks ago, this story would be dead. Quote
guyser Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 No evidence of this. Sure there is, ask the CBC Quote
Boges Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Sure there is, ask the CBC So you believe an anonymous CBC informant over the Toronto Chief of Police and the OPP commissioner? Just checking. Quote
guyser Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 So you believe an anonymous CBC informant over the Toronto Chief of Police and the OPP commissioner? Just checking. If they say they have one, then they say they have one. No more no less. The Chief of Police be damned, I also heard what he said about the G20, why would I believe him? I wonder who gets the police more money when the budget was coming due? Quote

madmax Posted November 9, 2013 Report Posted November 9, 2013 Mayor Ford has a HUGE credibility factor including a history of misleading and outright lies, Drunkeness, Drug Use and Profanity unbecoming of a mayor let alone to be used in front of anyones children. I have little reason to believe anything Mayor Ford says, and that includes his allegations that his daughter was involved, regardless of the many ways he has tailor his answer to relate to the evidence before him. Mayor Ford appears hung over, and his behaviour on 911 does not help this observation. His behaviour and take on the situation stretches anyones imagination especially when shown the video. Instead of buiding a strong reputation, Mayor Rob Ford has reinforced his persona as the laughing stock of Toronto. There is nothing the spin doctors can do to fix Rob Fords persona. Toronto has a Mayor who might actually get the people interested in creating Recall Legislation. That might not be a bad thing. Thought I would requote myself. I wrote this in october 2011, seems history repeats itself Quote
Wilber Posted November 10, 2013 Report Posted November 10, 2013 There's no denying that Ford handles these situations badly but politician's homes hould be off limits to anyone but family and guests. I like Mary Walsh but the CBC showed a real lack of class on that one. Quote "Never trust a man who has not a single redeeming vice". WSC
madmax Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Wilber, the requote isn't with regards to a comedians gag... It is with regards to prediction I made TWO YEARS AGO, suggesting that Rob Ford was a Drunk, Drug Using Fool of a Mayor who would get people interested in RECALL Legislation. The comment was mostly ignored in 2011. And Today, Not only has Rob Ford admitted to being a Drunken, Crack Using Mayor purchasing drugs and using them in the Mayors Office. He has got the Public and Councillors looking for ways to force the mayor out. And there are few options ... Quote
ironstone Posted February 22, 2014 Report Posted February 22, 2014 I suppose when you live in fear, and fear is around very corner and falling from the sky, being ambushed by "the press" outside your home could be disconcerting. Especially when you see a woman dressed in a red leather viking outfit, with a microphone. I doubt I would have called 911. But if I did, I would have stuck around until the police arrived. At least. Mayor Ford calls 911 on CBC comedians I would hate to think who Mayor Ford calls on Halloween. I have seen This Hour Has 22 Minutes and I can assure you there are no comedians on that show. jbg Posted March 2, 2014 Report Posted March 2, 2014 Are all right-wingers like you and Ford? No, but the Right does have more than its fair share of hypocrits. Not that the Left totally lacks for those either but the Right is rife with them. In my neck of the woods a Republican Assemblyman, Steven Katz was vigorously against marijuana legalization. He was stopped on the New York State Thruway, I-87, for driving while high (link to article, excerpts below). (CBS) NEW YORK - Steven M. Katz, a New York State assemblyman who has publicly condemned the use of drugs, was arrested and charged with marijuana possession during a traffic stop on Thursday, police said, according to The New York Times. A case of a pot-smoking lawmaker calling the kettle black? Katz, a 59-year-old Republican from Mohegan Lake, N.Y., was stopped for speeding on a state thruway in Coeymans, on Thursday morning. After noting the odor of marijuana, a State Trooper found "a small bag of marijuana" in Katz's possession, New York State police said in a statement. According to the paper, Katz was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. ********************* Katz, who is a veterinarian by trade, is a member of the Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Committee. According to The Times, he voted against a bill in 2012 that would have legalized medical marijuana. OftenWrong Posted March 9, 2014 Report Posted March 9, 2014 Its amazing how some leftists can't seem to stop criticizing Rob Ford. They want to see him go to jail for using drugs. These are the same people who scream for dope legalization, for the right of everyone to have it, little children should have it. They're the ones calling for Rob Ford to lose his job because he has a substance abuse problem, with drugs and alcohol. Quote

He needs help, that seems quite apparent. With regard to his job, when you are in a position of public trust, you do have a responsibility to be honest. He has certainly failed there. Quote

Topaz Posted March 9, 2014 Report Posted March 9, 2014 I don't think Ford should go to jail for using drugs, I think he should go to a Rehab, like many people like him and all those people in jail should be transferred to a Rehab. Maybe instead of building a mega-jail, build a mega Rehab for people with addition like drugs, smokes, food, especially sugar. It's time to get Canadians healthy, physically and mentally. Quote
