They aren't odd. Malignant is the opposite of benign. So do you want to content that a demonstration like, "The Ride for Life" is not benign?

Vigorous protest is not suppose to be benign, yet the "common welfare" still benefits....namely the preservation of constitutional rights. No exceptions are to be made for the Koran.....a Bible...or American flag.

Am I the only who thinks it does not really count when you in the same breath you say "burning a Qu'ran is wrong because it endangers the troops", you go on to compare it to "building a Mosque near ground 0?" Maybe that is just me but it seems that having that stance on one because would endanger the troops means that other also should have a different stance. I don't know maybe endanger the troops a little is ok but endangering them a lot isn't. I don't know.

The normally 'in your face' Palin offers a minimalistic Facebook comment... while at the same time drawing a ridiculous comparison to the NY Mosque debate. Boehner throws up a less than direct reluctant condemnation: "Appearing on Good Morning America today, Boehner seemed reluctant to strongly condemn the Quran burning. When host George Stephanopoulos asked him directly, “So you’re telling [Jones] not to do it?” there was a long pause, forcing Stephanopoulos to repeat the question. Finally, Boehner replied, “Well, listen, I just think it’s not wise to do this in the face of what our country represents.” Romney gets it right but, again, late to the delivery.
