  1. The PC party in Alberta had certainly fallen a long way from the strong leadership of Ralph Klein, but I'm not optimistic about the NDP running the show either.I hope they don't follow the lead of the Ontario Liberals. What a complete disaster that's been for us.
  2. Public servants in Canada generally have it better than most that work in the private sector in terms of pay and benefits, especially the defined benefit pension plan. Between the Conservatives and the NDP,which one do you think would be more generous to the Public Service? Between the Conservatives and the NDP,which party do you think has the most hard-core union activist's as members? Giving the keys to the unions means they will widen the gap between the private sector workers if we get an NDP government.
  3. And Bob Rae left with an even more appalling record!Rae made more bad decisions than difficult one's.In the end however,I think even Rae began to realize that it made no sense to keep piling up debt.
  4. Concerning the NDP,are they or are they not extremely close to the Public Service unions?
  5. Any thoughts as to why he chose to keep his mouth shut all this time?
  6. 15$ per day daycare,we all know it will have to be heavily subsidized somehow(tax increase).Another concern I have about the NDP is their cap and trade plan for carbon emissions.Emitters will simply pass on the cost to Canadians all across the country. We already pay enough taxes in this country as it is. I can see the NDP giving the keys to the vault to Canada's numerous government unions, meaning a rather hefty increase in taxes. Add all of these things up and I see it getting very expensive for taxpayers. I also have more reservations about a man that in all probability was offered a bribe many years ago(he refused it)but chose to keep quiet about it. http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/canadian-politics/thomas-mulcair-was-offered-and-refused-envelope-full-of-cash-ndp-leader-told-police
  7. I'm worried that Mulcair is more like Bob Rae than Roy Romanow.
  8. Ontario gave Bob Rae a chance, remember how that turned out?
  9. Do you hear all the complaints about the "rich"Conservatives outspending the Libs and the NDP?This once again shows that left wingers are not as generous as right wingers in my opinion. On the flip side, lefties are extremely generous with other people's money. In this election, the Conservatives will be under intense scrutiny from the media. I'll be voting for Harper for most of the same reasons as Argus.Frankly,Mulcair and Trudeau scare the hell out of me.
  10. I could be wrong, but I can't recall ever seeing any Liberals in leg irons and handcuffs after the sponsorship scandal. Were any Liberals treated that way? Quite the heinous crime wasn't it?Overspending with your own money?
  11. You and I see this differently,what can I say. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equalization_payments_in_Canada
  12. To be fair,I would say Omar Khadr is a war hero to the Canadian left.People with a moral compass rightfully despise him.
  13. And please tell us why some provinces need transfer payments in the first place?Do you think the 8-9 billion a year that Quebec receives has no bearing on what they spend or set their tax rate at? Are you kidding?
  14. I look at what is happening in Ontario so far with this Green Energy Act and I see nothing positive for consumers.Skyrocketing electricity prices, forcing more and more people into energy poverty.Kathleen Wynne's solution?Add on even more fees to our hydro bills to help pay for those who can't afford to pay theirs.Truly idiotic. Who in their right mind would want to invest in Ontario with such a high cost of electricity? Is it any wonder so many businesses are leaving?
  15. Does the part about wanting the destruction of Israel and it's inhabitants bother you in the least?
  16. For starters,Nycole Turmel as President of the Treasury Board, maybe Libby Davies as Foreign Affairs Minister?
  17. I wonder which of those NDP governments had the benefit of hefty transfer payments to their coffers?
  18. Can you give us the examples of the NDP being "the best fiscal managers this country has"? Was Bob Rae one of those examples? Based on what I have seen so far,it does not look good for Alberta and the rest of Canada.Brent Michael Dancy is the latest hire for the NDP. http://www.therebel.media/firedancey
  19. I just have two questions:1-Can solar and wind energy projects survive without massive subsidies from taxpayers? 2-Can solar and wind energy projects produce power on demand?
  20. I believe Michael den Tandt is the one that wrote,"Trudeau does not simply shake your hand,he inhabits it" or something close to that. I didn't know too much about Eve Adams except the articles about her meltdown at the car wash and something about her huge expenses for make-up.The make-up thing got a lot of attention from the Ottawa Citizen's robocall twins,Glen McGregor and Stephen Maher. They likely won't bring it up again now that she's a Liberal.I do think she is a good fit for the Trudeau Liberals since she seems quite shallow, and like the leader, she expects to always get her own way.
  21. You are just flat out wrong about that.Israel has to fight with one hand tied behind it's back and stands alone among mostly hostile Muslim dictatorships in the region.
  22. Despite the fact we have a lot of police officers in Canada, there are still crimes being committed all over the country.By your logic, should we stop "throwing money and bodies" into policing? We may not be able to defeat ISIS but how about at least trying to contain it? Trudeau should not be taking advice from any mosque.
  23. I want to see it because Michael Moore apparently hates it...good enough for me:)
  24. I agree with you that Trudeau does indeed have a "teenage like" understanding of issues but so far has not shown much ability to discuss any important issues.I have said before, there is no denying that he is perhaps Canada's most popular celebrity, but he also sounds like one.
  25. I suppose whenever Trudeau visits a mosque, they may be advising or telling him "take no action against ISIS".The more radical Muslims in Canada must consider Trudeau to be a useful idiot, which appears to be true.
