That's a pretty bizarre take on this to put it mildly. You're actually blaming the Post...and not the 51 intelligence officials who undermined the authenticity of the laptop, nor big tech for censoring and shutting down the Post for daring to cover the story. You never cease to amaze me with your perspectives.😮

The fix is in for Hunter Biden
ironstone replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Nobody here is trying to troll you. It's just that you clearly get really worked up when anyone dares to question you or states facts you don't like. That is just about with every single response you put up on here. I don't get that same over-the-top frothing at the mouth vibe with any other person on here, only you. -
The fix is in for Hunter Biden

So the recent show trial in NY seems to have actually given Trump a substantial boost in donations and it hasn't hurt his polling number at this time. Since it's much more than likely that Hunter is going to get the lightest possible punishment or perhaps zero consequences at all from the friendly jury members, this too may even help Trump's popularity even more. It helps prove his narrative that the system is rigged against him while Hunter gets off. -

That's very creative I must admit. So in the wonderful world of Democrat justice, any expired misdemeanor can at any time be resurrected into a felony...and now that it's a felony...the statute of limitations is now LONGER? 😵 -

It's an interesting defense for Hunter, he lied on the application form because he was under the influence of illegal drugs and didn't know what he was doing. So if a person gets pulled over while driving drunk, then fails the breathalyzer, it's now a legitimate defense to say "I didn't know what I was doing because I was drunk at the time"?😒 -
The Wuhan lab leak conspiracy theory now a likely reality

Yeah, what are the odds that a virus like this could have possibly come from a lab known to have rather sketchy safety protocols that actually works on viruses just like this one? -

I often listen to Alan Dershowitz and he says 'not so fast' when it comes to the appeal of this case. And the reason for that? Apparently, the judges that are in line to hear the appeal are strikingly 'similar' to Juan Merchan. Juan Merchan 2.0 so Trump is likely to lose the appeal until it gets to the SC. -

While David Weiss was a Trump-appointed U.S. attorney, he nonetheless answered to Biden’s DOJ and needed cooperation from other Biden-appointed U.S. attorneys to bring charges in other districts. When they refused, the most serious charges against Hunter lapsed, forever barred by the statute of limitations. Think about that...'forever barred by the statute of limitations' when it comes to Hunter Biden. But when it came to Trump, the fact that the statute of limitations had passed, IT DIDN'T MATTER and that charge got resurrected. Can you spot the difference? -

https://thefederalist.com/2024/06/05/no-hunter-bidens-trial-does-not-exonerate-americas-two-tiered-justice-system/ Not only did the Manhattan DA concoct a crime to avoid the statute of limitations and charge Trump, but Bragg turned what would have been a run-of-the-mill misdemeanor into a felony. In contrast, until a federal judge questioned the propriety of the plea bargain the government had struck with Hunter Biden, the prosecutors had given the president’s son a pass on several felony charges. The sweetheart deal gifted to Hunter allowed him to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax offenses and completely avoid any felony tax or gun charges. However, when it came time for Hunter to enter his guilty plea, Judge Maryellen Noreika quizzed the parties on the unusual plea agreement. Could the government use a pretrial diversion agreement to memorialize the federal government’s commitment not to charge Hunter Biden for other crimes? Federal prosecutors acknowledged that they had never seen a deal crafted in quite this way before. While prosecutors were willing to push through the aberration of a plea deal for the president’s son, Judge Noreika asked for further briefing. The deal then fell through, resulting in Weiss’s office obtaining a grand-jury indictment on both the gun and tax charges. Those charges, however, were not the result of a get-Biden effort but the consequences of the failure of their let-Biden-off plan. Even now, with Hunter in the heat of trial, the contrast couldn’t be sharper. Judge Noreika is running a methodical trial, keeping the focus on the charged crimes. And while the laptop has been shown to the jury and some material from the hard drive has been entered into evidence, none of the salacious material from the laptop is being paraded before the jury. Trump’s jury, on the other hand, heard Stormy Daniels’ irrelevant and graphic testimony of her supposed sexual encounter with the former president. Ruling upon ruling by the Manhattan judge came down against Trump, which isn’t surprising given the judge donated to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign and his daughter fundraises off the trial for Democrat candidates. -

Even while he's smoking crack in the car, he is still miraculously getting paid millions of dollars when he's in that condition. -

Trump just got convicted on 34 counts on what was a misdemeanor that got turned into a felony. Passed the statute of limitations too. A sharp contrast to Hunter, who the DOJ tried to give that sweetheart deal to, on what was an actual felony lol. -

It's a bit sketchy how it's worded on Wikipedia. From the Armstrong report : The report concluded that the five men whose convictions had been vacated had "most likely" participated in the beating and rape of the jogger and that the "most likely scenario" was that "both the defendants and Reyes assaulted her, perhaps successively."[98] The report said Reyes had most likely "either joined in the attack as it was ending or waited until the defendants had moved on to their next victims before descending upon her himself, raping her and inflicting upon her the brutal injuries that almost caused her death."[98] What compelled those guys to make incriminating statements BEFORE interrogation and even later confess? Now they're all heroes in your eyes. -
Joe: get down to work for America!

12 free citizens...in Manhattan. Not exactly friendly territory for Republicans. Juries are not infallible, nor are judges. They are capable of doing something out of spite for a defendant. OJ got off because that jury wanted to stick it to the white man. -

You don't think that countries pay to access Joe? https://www.wsj.com/articles/house-republicans-report-hunter-biden-james-comer-joe-biden-family-china-c0c506c7 House Oversight Chair James Comer’s staff report shows in detail that Hunter had extensive dealings with unsavory foreign actors. This yielded millions of dollars for Biden family members via a web of shell companies that would be hard to untangle without subpoena power. Why so much complexity? The 36-page report shows Biden family members and business associates created nearly 20 separate entities shortly before and during Joe Biden’s Vice Presidency. The entities with obscure names—Hudson West III, Hudson West V, Owascu, JBB SR INC—transferred cash from foreign entities. Bank records show that more than $10 million was delivered to Biden family members, associates and companies from these foreign entities, and in curious ways. -

I personally don't think Joe ever entered politics to serve the American public. I think he got into it purely for personal financial gain and by personal I mean him and his family. -

I remember that case from way back. I recall there was a lot of outrage at the time against the suspects. Not because of race, but because of the brutality of the crime but as usual, it ended being all about race. Did you know that one of the accused in that case is now a city councilor in New York? https://anncoulter.com/2023/11/15/central-park-rape-the-secret-files1/ Yusef Salaam, Korey Wise, Kevin Richardson, Raymond Santana and Antron McCray. Here’s just some of the evidence against The Five: — When Santana was being driven to the precinct house for general mayhem, he blurted out: “I had nothing to do with the rape. All I did was feel the woman’s tits.” At this point, the jogger’s body hadn’t been found yet. The police knew nothing about any rape. — Another boy, picked up with Richardson, told the police that he knew who did “the murder,” naming McCray. Richardson concurred, saying, “Yeah. That’s who did it.” Again, the police were unaware of any rape or murder. The next morning, Richardson pointed to the 102nd Street transverse, telling officers, “This is where we got her.” — Dennis Commedo, part of the larger group wilding that night, told the police that, when he ran into Richardson, he had said, “We just raped somebody.” — Two of Wise’s friends said that the next day, he told them, “You heard about that woman that was beat up and raped in the park last night? That was us!” — Another boy arrested for some of the other attacks, but not the rape, told detectives (on videotape) that he overheard Santana and a friend laughing about how they’d “made a woman bleed.” — A number of the youths brought in the night of the attack implicated Salaam (our newly elected councilman) in the jogger’s rape. Orlando Escobar, for example, told police he saw Salaam (our newly elected councilman) and others leaving the 102nd Street transverse where the jogger was raped. — Blood stains were found on Salaam’s jacket. (He’s our newly elected councilman.) — Salaam (our newly elected councilman) confessed to the rape after the detective questioning him said that fingerprints had been found on the jogger’s clothing. Why would he do that — unless he knew the prints might be his? Four of The Five gave videotaped confessions, at least three of them in the presence of parents or guardians. Defense attorneys spent weeks attacking the confessions as “coerced,” but two multicultural juries and the trial judge concluded that the confessions were voluntary. Taking the other side is some bimbo with a Netflix documentary, on the basis of no evidence whatsoever. Moreover, recall that when The Five confessed, no one knew whether the jogger would emerge from her coma and be able to identify her attackers. -
I think you are aware that it just isn't limited to Hamas. Maybe the actual religion that's in question? Both of these groups are pretty aggressive and often display the same in-your-face attitude towards others. These kinds of confrontations are kind of a dilemma for progressives. They are 100% on board with everything in the lgbt++ agenda, but at the same time, they are also rather supportive of aggressive Islam and are willing to turn a blind eye to their intense hatred of Jews for one thing.

You literally just used the Uncle Tom insult against Tim Scott and Clarence Thomas and you have the gall to accuse me of implying blacks are stupid to support Democrats? If anyone is clearly racist towards blacks, it's white liberals. How demeaning is this prominent white liberal? -

Yes, somewhere along the line, the original meaning has been totally perverted and today it's use is especially nasty. That is the intent when anyone uses that term against a black person. The Democrats still feel that they should rightfully OWN the black vote. And to an extent, they kind of do own the black vote. Blacks don't really seem to be able to point to exactly how they are better off because of Democrats. More single black mothers? Fewer fathers in black homes? What's good about that? What's truly shameful is how conservative blacks get treated by other blacks. No debate, no meaningful dialogue, just the usual Uncle Tom-sellout type of insult. -

From Wikipedia : Uncle Tom is the title character of Harriet Beecher Stowe's 1852 novel Uncle Tom's Cabin.[1] The character was seen by many readers as a ground-breaking humanistic portrayal of a slave, one who uses nonresistance and gives his life to protect others who have escaped from slavery. -
And how about those that send weapons into Gaza? Hamas isn't able to conjure all those bombs and rockets out of thin air. Iran plays a major role there. I'll probably regret asking this, but how do you feel about Iran and their role in sponsoring terrorism?
