This why I became a fan of Russell Brand. I agree that Russell was head and shoulders above this guy Heilmann. And it was absolutely ludicrous for him to suggest that MSNBC and the rest have no far left bias.

Ontario needs to invest in EVs as a realistic Option.
ironstone replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
I'll put in my two cents again. I know the sales of EV's are rising, and have been for a couple of years. I don't know about the rest of the world but in North America there have been some pretty big subsidies from taxpayers for those pricey EV's. It's been stated that China is a leader in EV production and use, but their emissions are still rising. I suppose it's likely because the Chinese also have a fondness for coal fired electricity plants. It sort of defeats the purpose of all those EV's over there does it not? China's new coal plant approvals surge in 2022, highest since 2015 -research | Reuters All over the world, most of the population and therefore most of the cars are concentrated in the cities. And a significant number of people live in apartment buildings. Isn't that going to be a massive and costly challenge to upgrade each and every parking spot with faster charging systems? I'm pretty sure Level 1 charging isn't going to cut it. I too will jump on the Corolla bandwagon here. Corollas are bulletproof and affordable. Way more reliable than most other cars on the market that cost 3 or 4 times as much.? From leafscore.com When buying a new car, reliability should be a primary determining factor. Electric cars have a confusing reputation from a reliability standpoint. While these vehicles tend to have top-of-the-line technology and efficiency features, many models are notorious for breaking down frequently. I'll say it again, I just wish governments would let the market decide and not have a thumb on the scale. But bureaucrats always know best right?? -
It sounds like the woke Disney corporation had way too much power in Florida to begin with. Their agenda used to be about good family entertainment but now it seems to be mostly about indoctrination of young minds. Good on DeSantis for reining them in. I still lean towards the vulnerability aspect of it. It seems Africa had it's own lengthy internal history of slavery. I wonder what their motivation was for enslaving fellow Africans? Since virtually every race on earth was involved in slavery at some point in history, why is it that only whites get blamed for it?

The fact that base models of certain cars are still sold means that there is a market for them. And not everyone can afford an EV. This is a list of the cheapest models in Canada. Cheapest Electric Cars in Canada (canadadrives.ca) The cheapest is over 40 grand. And some of the brands on this list don't have a great reputation for reliability. Mini, Kia, VW. My boss drives a Tesla and he loves it for the most part. His 20 grand repair was covered under warranty which was good. But on those really cold days, he always brings in his ICE vehicle for some reason. -
I think it was more about who was the most vulnerable more than skin colour. Black Africans enslaved other black Africans. Whites enslaved whites, Asians enslaved Asians, Indigenous people enslaved other indigenous people. There was a pattern. I have more trust in someone like Thomas Sowell than a hard ass radical like Angela Davis. The Biggest Lie About Slavery | Thomas Sowell - YouTube

Wikipedia is pretty good for a lot of subjects but I'll pass when it comes to politics. If you watched the link I provided, you will see that one of the founders agrees with me. It also showed how many of the "editors" identify as proud socialists. Conservatives are far more likely to be edited out on Wikipedia. That is a FACT. -

Some of them were compacts, not subcompacts to be accurate. And some are great, like the Corolla? Everyone has their preferences in cars. For me, I just want something very reliable as I tend to keep my cars a long time. I also value something with decent range and a power source that won't degrade if I refuel or charge it too fast. So, to summarize, there are in fact some brand new cars in and around the 20 grand range. Base models yes. What EV's are available in that price range at this time? -
I have heard that phrase "it's ok to be white" before but I have never heard it's a white supremacist thing. If I heard anyone say that I would not be offended in the least. It's ok to be black. It's ok to be white. It's ok to be Asian and so on. Who cares? Apparently another question in that poll was something like, "can blacks be racist too?". Its worded in such a way that presumes all white people are already racist. That's pretty offensive.

What may have sent him over the edge was a Rasmussen poll with some interesting numbers.

You might think I'm trolling you but trust me, it is not my intention. It's obvious that you're quite upset by what I have posted on here. You don't seem to enjoy the back and forth and instead just want everyone else to shut up and agree with you. I didn't read anyone in this particular topic suggesting anything delicious about slavery or slaves being raped. The poster was very clearly saying the irony of the story was delicious. The fact that this pretty despicable person who has always hated everything about America had descendants on the Mayflower is unbelievably ironic. What are the odds of that for someone like her? If anyone watched the link I posted earlier from The Daily Wire, Ben Shapiro talked about Angela Davis and her disgusting history.

I don't like to see those kinds of insults in this forum from anyone. Little barbs here and there are a different story and part of the back and forth. Why not take the high road? I have no plans to insult you because I happen to disagree with you. I'm not bothered by you calling me a hypocrite either. Back to the topic at hand. It's clearly newsworthy and interesting. I just watched her reaction and kind of enjoyed it. It's pretty harsh to use that term. And I agree with Deluge, what this activist discovered was pretty ironic and very interesting. Prior to this story I had never heard of her before. It's not a stretch to assume she would likely have been on the side demanding reparations for slavery. I wonder what she thinks now?

MoveOn.org MoveOn Political Action gathers donations from its members, from entertainment events, and from outside donors like George Soros, which it uses to support left-wing causes and candidates. MoveOn supports almost exclusively the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, most notably U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont). Geez, no bias there. Mother Jones and MSNBC? Yikes? There are left biased sources and conservative biased sources. There may be some more towards the middle. I don't have 100% trust in any one source. -

After watching this, I felt pretty safe in saying that Wikipedia is biased. Often things that get posted that may paint some conservative person in a more positive light will quickly get edited out. It's a mere 8:27 long. And you freely admit you don't want to open your mind to other links which may shoot down your narrative in flames. Now you don't believe me when I suggest that Wikipedia has a left-wing bias. Fair enough. Would you believe Larry Sanger who just happens to be one of the co-founders of Wikipedia? He admits just that in the video above. Wikipedia "administrators "admit to being fans of socialism .?
