So your position is, yeah, foreign governments do pay Hunter a lot of money but that doesn't prove anything. When Joe left his position as VP under Obama, by strange coincidence Hunter's lucrative annual salary got cut in half his paymaster in Ukraine. I guess cutting it in half turned it into a retainer fee. Hunter Biden's Ukraine salary was cut — after Joe Biden left office (nypost.com) Several other articles stated that Hunter was paid a whopping $10 million per year by some corrupt Chinese billionaire. It seems reasonable to assume that since these foreign governments and shady billionaires have continued to pay Hunter Biden a lot of money, they must feel they are getting something valuable in return.

I think there is more evidence, circumstantial as it may be, that Joe and the rest of the Biden clan are heavily involved in pay to play, kickbacks or whatever you want to call it. Even calling it circumstantial is a stretch by me, since it's pretty well known that members of Biden's family have become exceptionally wealthy thanks to Joe's long time in politics. That's in sharp contrast to the Russia collusion hoax, which was covered almost continuously for a period of years, when there was no evidence that Trump had in any way colluded with Putin. He did not get fair coverage from the MSM with regards to this story, they claimed over and over again, without justification, that he was a Russian agent, Putin's pawn.

Can you come up with a single plausible explanation as to why any unfriendly or even hostile foreign government would be paying millions of dollars to Hunter Biden, especially given his long history of drug abuse? He has a reputation, and it's clearly not an honorable one. Not to mention, he has little to no expertise in the businesses that he paid so highly for.

This might be an unwinnable argument for either side. It is not perfectly clear that all world wide deaths attributed to Covid were 100% due solely to the virus itself. All countries do not have the same processes for reporting Covid deaths. Right from the WHO website: Countries also use different processes to test and report COVID-19 deaths, making comparisons difficult. To overcome these challenges, many countries have turned to excess mortality as a more accurate measure of the true impact of the pandemic. Excess mortality is defined as the difference in the total number of deaths in a crisis compared to those expected under normal conditions. COVID-19 excess mortality accounts for both the total number of deaths directly attributed to the virus as well as the indirect impact, such as disruption to essential health services or travel disruptions. It is debatable whether someone that has comorbidities , then contracts Covid and dies, should only be attributed to the virus alone. I personally think more focus should have been placed on the true origin of the virus right from the beginning, and that is China. Why was Fauci funding gain of function research to start with? Why fund dangerous biological research in a country with notoriously bad health and safety protocols?

So much for Trudeau's new gun laws. This guy should never have been free on bail in the first place given his record. He is also Indigenous so the courts will once again take this into consideration during his trial. Gun laws are different for "regular" Canadians and indigenous people, as in, they are held to a much lower standard.

Trudeau is not a lefty? Could you elaborate on that please?

The way you're describing things, it's the best time ever right now under the Biden administration. You are an optimist, I'll give you that. Joe Biden Cheers Historic Year: Record Crime, Record Inflation, Record Illegal Immigration, Record Gas Prices, Worst Stock/Bond/Equity Losses Since 1871 (thegatewaypundit.com) Biden Denies Massive Spending Fueled Record Inflation: ‘The Idea Is Bizarre’ (yahoo.com) President Biden says the US is NOT experiencing record inflation when it is | Daily Mail Online I would agree with you that smart spending is a good investment but there is a lot of money earmarked for foolish things in those spending bills. To be fair to Biden, this sort of thing is not unique to him alone, woke governments all over the world do the same thing. 9 Crazy Examples of Unrelated Waste and Partisan Spending in Biden’s $2 Trillion ‘Infrastructure’ Proposal - Foundation for Economic Education (fee.org)

Resume lies? Santos? How about Unelected Joe?
ironstone replied to reason10's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I wouldn't make any excuses for this guy Santos. If he lied or embellished his record that's not good. But the current President of the US also happens to have a long record of lying and embellishing and it hasn't really hurt him. Your comment seems to indicate that you're willing to ignore or overlook any and all transgressions from the Democrat side of the aisle. Republicans lie and embellish while Democrats merely tell "stories". Got it.? -
How Covid-19 stats are grossly exaggerated: a brief summary of the data | by Tam Hunt | Medium How The Covid 19 Mortality Rate Was Irresponsibly Exaggerated - Brightwork Research & Analysis Physicians Say Hospitals Are Pressuring ER Docs to List COVID-19 on Death Certificates. Here’s Why - Foundation for Economic Education (fee.org) One of the links above mentions Colin Powell and how his death was listed as a result of Covid. Powell was 84, had lethal blood cancer and Parkinsons. He was also fully vaxxed but for some reason this was not mentioned much by the media.
-
I must point out that those on the pro-vax mandate side were the one's attributing too many deaths to Covid. If a guy went into a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and had Covid, if he ended up dying the death would be attributed to Covid. They wanted to inflate the numbers and spice up the story.

Ontario needs to invest in EVs as a realistic Option.
ironstone replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
I still have to drive to work but now I must pay more. Goods still are transported largely with the use of fossil fuels as EV's at this time are incapable of fulfilling that role. And I'm talking about big transport trucks, railways, not pizza delivery which presumably could be done by an EV. Carbon taxes also end making people spend less money because they obviously have less disposable income. You are aware that your EV was built with the use of fossil fuels right? It's not cheap to make those batteries. Nor will it be cheap to recycle them as they drop in performance every year in the life of the car. And for the umpteenth time, I have no problems with EV's in the marketplace, I just don't want to be forced or coerced into buying one. Nor do I want my tax dollars to subsidize others who want to buy them. If a person wants to move into a new house, it makes sense to wait until the house is actually completed. The West can pretend to go green while they virtue signal in their EV's. The cobalt in your EV likely came from this place. -
You are a huge fan of Nancy Pelosi. She has accomplished a lot in her time in politics. Well, she basically only drastically increased her own net worth I guess. Why not just wait and see what kind of investigations come up next year? It's possible they may find nothing, just like Russia collusion was nothing. If the Dems have nothing to hide, they have nothing to worry about. Besides, even if they guilty of gross misconduct, it will be ignored by your news sources.

The point of this topic was about excessively generous welfare benefits for many Americans while businesses can't find enough employees willing to work. It pays not to work in Biden's America thanks to welfare benefits (nypost.com) So what do you think? Does it make sense to keep sending checks to these people for sitting on their asses when there is nothing preventing them from working?
-
Lots of us gripe. I do it a lot and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I'm no different from millions of other Canadians who oppose certain policies or want what we think are smarter policies to be implemented. Politicians that sit in opposition do it every single day. Things could certainly be worse here in Canada but I think things could be better too. I'll continue to speak out against things like carbon taxes and internet censorship while you guys can continue to support policies like that, as is your right.?

So, many governments worldwide are moving quickly away from oil and gas use and pretty much trying to discourage more exploration, and you are claiming that these same oil companies are dictating to them? -
The Freedom Convoy and the Coastal Gaslink stories were given very different kinds of coverage. Millions of dollars in damage from vandalism on the Coastal Gaslink, but very little coverage. Environmental terrorism is acceptable in the eyes of the CBC? My main beef with the CBC isn't bias, it's the fact that my hard earned tax dollars have to pay for them. Bias in crosswords: how women, people of colour and LGBTQIA+ communities are overlooked | CBC Television What kind of a news network would have a story about bias in crossword puzzles concerning LGTBQ++ and people of colour? Answer: A left-leaning, woke news network.?
-
Perhaps you think the CBC is fair and balanced, I do not. It's naïve to think that the Trudeau Liberals hand out hundreds of millions to news outlets with absolutely no strings attached. It's done with a knowing wink between both sides. If you were a journalist working for a struggling media outlet, wouldn't you tend to want to support the political party that will guarantee your job is secure with a massive infusion of cash? Katie Telford was sounding very confident when she suggested it was not a problem to get favorable op-eds written up immediately by a few phone calls.
-
You honestly don't see any conflict of interest when the Liberal government hands over hundreds of millions of dollars to support news outlets? No quid pro quo? The CBC is the media arm of the Liberal Party of Canada | True North (tnc.news) Trudeau regularly promises more and more funding for the CBC so they treat him differently than his Conservative rivals. They won't bite the hand that feeds them.
