I could turn it around to someone who you likely really look up to. How about Al Sharpton? What elevates him in your eyes? A silver tongue perhaps? Is it the fiery, over-the-top rhetoric? I would also guess that most black Americans have never been exposed to Thomas Sowell or his writings. This man is well versed in history, unlike race hustler Sharpton. Isn't it racist to believe that blacks are incapable of achieving success on their own, without having to exclude others in the process?

The moral of the story is, blacks are not allowed to be conservative. I think Sowell is brilliant and I love listening to him. A stark contrast to the countless Al Sharpton types which dominate the left.

You are confused. The title of the Thomas Sowell video I posted is "Thomas Sowell destroys reparations argument". I posted the video because it makes great points as to why reparations is a bad idea. It is Thomas Sowell's argument,and I wholeheartedly agree with him. Once again, it was Thomas Sowell saying these things that are absolutely correct. I would urge you to check out his videos. He's a brilliant man. You guys were awfully quick to totally dismiss the example of the Barbary pirates and the inconvenient fact of black slave owners. I remember on the old Canadian tax forms there was the option of donating your tax refund to the government. It may still be there for all I know. I doubt many people ever did that. What's stopping you from giving a portion of your wealth to the cause of reparations for slavery of blacks so many generations ago? If you support this so idea , how much are you personally willing to give?

You still have not come up with one single compelling reason why black should get reparations for slavery. Slavery was an abomination but it was an awfully long time ago. I'm a white guy, so would you encourage me to demand reparations from people in North Africa? Or is the reparations grift ONLY for blacks?

I'm curious how American black slave owners and their ancestors fit into the question of reparations. That subject must make you very uncomfortable. If you watch the above short clip, Thomas Sowell points out that the number of whites enslaved in North Africa by the Barbary pirates was greater than the number of blacks enslaved in the US.

Since virtually every race has been enslaved at one point or another throughout human history, are you in favor of everyone demanding reparations for past injustices? Or are you only in favor of reparations for blacks and nobody else?

I didn't see the FOX segment but I imagine they showed a bit of the same footage from Savanah Hernandez. The rooms are absolutely filthy and one does not get the impression that those illegal migrants are anywhere near as grateful as they should be for everything that has been given to them.
