Canadian Senate Takes Another Hit
Bob Macadoo replied to Big Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I'm OK with them as well. I agree as well if there are no real hiccups, not ginned up ones like that appointed guy's uncle's uncle donated 50 bucks to the Liberals, then it'll only be added to and not repealed. -
Who will Trump pick for VP in 2016?

I watched the 60 Minutes Trump/Pence interview. Surreal. -

Only in that was as it was written. If you wish to open & revise the "contract" then I agree, I just don't think you'd like what follows. -

In your mind maybe. To others the regions and their regionalism is very real. -

Reality already came knocking.....and nothing. There will not be one dime less in transfer funding, business innovation is the best it could be with limited pop. and immigration, and more gov'ts equals more opportunity for subsidy. The only incentive for amalgamation , like municipalities, is administrative duplication. Since Acadiens prefer administrative duplication......there goes 1/4 of the vote. Again so long as transfer payments exist no dice. In any event amalgamation wouldn't solve their budgetary/production dilemma. Amalgamation is red meat for those who got tired of being shunned for saying "pogey bums". -

No financial pressure from Ottawa will cause it......that will just cause multiple visits to the Supreme Court. The only way you would convince them is to increase their Senate proportion and/or funding formula proportion with long term guarantees. -

If you asked Thunder Bay to amalgamate with Toronto today you would get a revolt. Never get Acadiens to join NS; dilute their voting power. -

As I am certain those papers are gone over for contextual argument, precidence research, interpretation and passion to determine who can best cover all areas. Should we evaluate on their cases they were vested in or should we only include those they would be divested from (ie. murder defense, marijuana prosecution, etc.) As I said...subjective.....we're not hiring a typist here so the most wpm wins. -

Those things contribute to but do not define qualification. Capabilities and experience are subjective evaluators unless you have clear definition of competancy that includes objective criteria. I wish every job was defined this way but as you said "you can't redefine the vote after you've lost." -

So a 90 is lowering standards? Why pass anyone then who doesn't achieve 100? -
Jason Kenney - Unite the right in Alberta
Bob Macadoo replied to ?Impact's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
What was stated that is not a factual statement? Comparing quotation of Kenney to mandate statements of supremacists, stating it looks like he is trying to gather their vote, stating that smallc's opinion, which he confirms, of native reserves is similar to the statements made by Kenney. What was libel there? -

There is no such thing; qualified is a state of being not a graded adjective. If you think some have more qualifications than others than those requirements need to be stated so they can be evaluated. If the criterion that you must have tried at least 5 drug cases or you must have made 3 arguments for interpreting the constitution that's fine. If however you posess the necessary qualifications then you could be a poop flinging chimp and you can perform the job as necessary to the satisfaction of those who set the requirements.Does it matter that White Guy A scored a 95 in Jurisprudence compared to Brown Gal B scored a 93 if the neccessary level to attain skill in Jurisprudence is >90? -

There's actually a different qualification that's being looked past....."judgement development or background". You've all assumed it's solely based on skin colour, in lieu of background. Inner city vs. Suburbs......prep school vs. crowded public..... -
....you mean like a thread titled "Leftist Marxist Goons".....but don't use the word racist or Mr. Canada as it will be deleted.

Ontario announces plan to destroy its economy
Bob Macadoo replied to Argus's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
I think that's what Stephen Douglas, Abraham Lincoln's rival, said about slavery; Illinois being a free state wouldn't make a difference in the national sense and slave states would have a competitive advantage... -

What is wrong with this? If you're only paying for the gas to run your car, you eventually have to come up with the money to get a brake job. -
....and sarcasm.....don't forget sarcasm.I contribute in 5 words as much as you in 5 pages......literally.
