It is proposed to cut through 3 refineries for domestic use as well. Just sayin'. -

Ontario finally does something about Hospital Parking
Bob Macadoo replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
I don't have a problem with that.....hospital infrastructure doesn't maintain itself....pay now or pay later. I do applaud the initiative of a multi-day pass at a discount but the difference should be subsidized by gov't. You can't limit hospital non-procedure funding and expect champagne and cold powdered eggs for breakfast..... -
Facts are proven statements found, either by agreement between parties or adjudication by 3rd party impartials, to be true. Therefore that would make your whole statement not factual at this point.
-
It's a statement really......fact would need some supporting evidence....video, semen, 3rd party impartial observants.

I think that's one of dem "idiosyncratic phrases". Doesn't have the same affect.

No he's no different than BC. He has serious thought out posts occasionally; yet when challenged on his xenophobic topics reverts to trolling to distract. At least he only introduces his cultural generalizations when initiated by someone else. It's truly a gift when "Murica" is introduced when the topic is "tangerines".

If you can't resist his obvious trolling how can you hope to follow the rules to ignore his more nuanced and/or ignorant postings?

Charges finally laid in the Ontario Gas Plant Scandal
Bob Macadoo replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
The sites were selected unbiased by the OPA (not OPG) using siting guidelines developed by them. McGuinty thought he could be Premier Dad and convince us it was best for us but was knocked flatfooted that there was a concentrated ground game in that area to oppose him. He caved like every politician facing a defeat (See John Tory RE; Subway vs. LRT in Toronto). What he should've done is stayed out and just blamed it on OPA like any other politician would do (ie. indict bureaucracy). -
Charges finally laid in the Ontario Gas Plant Scandal
Bob Macadoo replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Wait wait. Are you saying it would've been your preference for the gov't to remove all decision making from the arm's length organization before any of this mess began? -
No...I was refering to the e-mails that accompany MH's & CA's new found sense of editorial morality.

Whatever. Just stop filling my inbox.

Charges finally laid in the Ontario Gas Plant Scandal

Good question. I don't know. Never or Always are my guesses, would this really increase your contempt for them? -
Charges finally laid in the Ontario Gas Plant Scandal
Bob Macadoo replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
They are both of concern; both valid in determining whether to vote for this party incarnation or not. Is wiping of hard drives after a change in council considered a crime if there might have been items on that drive that could have indicated said waste of millions which did not constitute a crime? I don't know....I'll just add this to the con list for voting in 201?. -
Charges finally laid in the Ontario Gas Plant Scandal
Bob Macadoo replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Ummmmm that's exactly what it meant. How many ministers changed, how many staff members? The majority of MPPs didn't change; the gov't most certainly did. -
Is JT really going to ban spanking?
Bob Macadoo replied to Boges's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
That's exactly what is being said......use a scalpel.....not a machete like the previous government. -

Are you really saying I must provide you a cite for when a change in government causes a removal of PMO files? I'm not accusing cover-up just SOP. -
Is JT really going to ban spanking?
Bob Macadoo replied to Boges's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You refer to it being ridiculous as if that has a correlation with probability. We now have our court system clogged with "resisting arrest", "verbal spousal assault", and other subjective charges. If you hack at the criminal code you get apes that will use it to their advantage. -

Bob Macadoo replied to Boges's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Sometimes the partisan fervour on here is absurd. I never agree with TimG but in this case if JT does what TimG thinks (which I don't believe, just partisan horseshit) then there could be trouble. He'd be the same as Harper using ill thought out red meat legislation. If you don't craft replacement text and simply strike out the clause you are relying on police/prosecutors to use judgement when they will be heavily influenced by CAS/divorce attorneys/etal. Restraining a struggling child so they don't lash out could be grounds for an assault charge. I doubt there would be a conviction but once you include the above parties into the mix it doesn't matter you are now "in the system". TimG has repeatedly said craft proper language to eliminate striking but don't create appeal-able/repeal-able legislation out the gate. Will lose favour quick. -
Charges finally laid in the Ontario Gas Plant Scandal
Bob Macadoo replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Well to be fair this is only loosely related to Gas Plants. It's about the "middle of the night" hard drive erasures by his Chief of Staff after Wynne got in. I wonder what the legal nuace is between this and when Harper torches his PMO files before Trudeau got in. Not saying it isn't immoral as they most likely were covering their tracks on something but how is it different if they were staff files only being deleted? Shouldn`t every staff chief be charged after every gov't change? Do the OPP have evidence that it was obstruction? Was there a warrant for the computers before they wiped them? I guess the other question is if Wynne knew, why was there a need to wipe the drives like they did? Kind of blatant......if she knew it could've been done much more quietly. -

Just pointing out you have no right to dispute stated motives until that individual tries to represent more than themself or propogandists try to project that motive beyond the confines of that individual.
