  1. Thanks. My teacher friend said a white teacher in her school told a black student to take off their doo rag because they looked like a gang member. So it happens, however generally all kids should be treated by the same standards of decent behaviour/rules and my guess is black students will typically get reprimanded more than white kids due to economic backgrounds. Edit: (which correlate to behaviour and how well they were raised etc).
  2. What's the evidence that Florida has the best public schools?
  3. I think sometimes teachers from a different ethnicity/culture can misinterpret things due to lack of understanding. Like they don't know what a doo rag is for.
  4. I don't care about this story. But he never gives up a chance to signal his virtue. His entire life he's had VIP access to the healthcare system, hasn't had to worry about money, or a job. Frat boy has the political priorities of a college student. Legalize weed dude.
  5. 1. It's not his personality so much as his values. If he's the PM and his values are largely self-serving then he's not good for the country. Canada's highest office shouldn't be a vehicle for someone to feed their ego because daddy didn't give them enough attention. If I find an MP who is in it to serve their country over serving themselves I'll let you know, might be a long wait. The Liberal caucus sided with JT over JWR because JT had been a winner for them, 'nuff said. 2. The big parties in Canada and the US are in the pockets of the big corporations and neoliberalism is fantastic for them but not so good for workers and in the case of China, national security. I've never been a big fan of neoliberalism. And the west has known for decades that they were enriching a beast in China, but it was good for corporate profits and GDP so why would they care? Who knows how many palms the CCP has greased within our legislators, and enough of these careerist traitors in Parliament take it. 3. If certain trade is a threat to national security then sure the government should step in. China intervenes all the time in their own economy. You can label it whatever you wish.
  6. But these are all the best words!
  7. Amazing evidence you provided there.
  8. How does standing up to China get him more votes? If the public doesn't know it's happening and therefore it's not making him less popular he's going to give a crap. Been 8 years, we know how the guy works. He's not in this for his country, he's in this for himself. He's in it for the attention and the power and the glory and seeing himself on the news every day. He's a narcissist.
  9. I believe the article stated that this was occurring within both the Liberal and Conservative parties according to CSIS.
  10. https://globalnews.ca/news/9253386/canadian-intelligence-warned-pm-trudeau-that-china-covertly-funded-2019-election-candidates-sources/ This report also reiterates the CCP efforts in Canada in Operation Fox Hunt: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-csis-warns-chinas-operation-fox-hunt-is-targeting-canadas-chinese/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Fox_Hunt So what are the feds doing about this? Where is the legislation? Are foreign agents being removed from these legislator offices?
  11. The security guards were employed by Trudeau, not the venue, they were his personal detail. I literally saw them all get off his campaign bus with him. He wants to virtue signal that he's a super progressive guy by having an all-POC detail. That's weird. His is obsessed with race and gender. He chooses his cabinet and everything else based on race and gender quotas, he has done the same with both of his picks for GG. The Biden admin borrowed the tactic and did the same for his VP pick and his Supreme Court Justice nominee, and he admitted as much. This is what they do. You're free to deny it all you want, the evidence is everywhere.
  12. "The federal government is aiming for roughly 60 per cent of newcomers to be in the economic class — people coming to Canada for their work skills as well as their accompanying family members — in 2025." https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/canada-s-plan-for-more-immigrants-aims-to-boost-workforce-but-experts-say-they-ll-need-support/ar-AA13NJfm?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=280fa9eaeafd47dfb384801e588fa84c LOL, it should be a lot higher than that. Liberals plan to bring in 500k immigrants in 2025, meaning they're about doubling immigration numbers since the year they were first elected. Better build more houses.
  13. The Liberals know they are more popular among Canadians not born in Canada. This is why they've dramatically increased immigration levels and lowered the # of years in Canada required in order to get citizenship (voting rights). The Liberals are engaging in demographic warfare tactics to secure their power, which is pretty racist. I once attended a Trudeau campaign rally during an election period. 100% of his security and enterage is made up of non-whites. I found that very odd and very racist. Trudeau and the Liberals are obsessed with identity politics like race and gender issues. Only a racist would care what race the members of their security detail are. Enter: blackface.
  14. Well no let's focus on you actually. Why didn't you join the military? Are you just lazy or a free-rider? Why do you hate your country? If you don't want stupid questions then don't ask them yourself.
  15. Our governments are so bloated with self-serving folks who care about their own interests more than serving their country. So many are apathetic to real issues in gov affecting this country. We have reached an age of decadence and apathy and self-interest that's destroying our countries. Where's the patriots anymore? They're 99 years old living in long-term care and their health needs are being ignored by our governments who would rather push funding to something that gets them re-elected than push funding to dementia-laden folks. Military recruitment is at dangerously low levels. The kids don't give a f***, the boomers don't give a f***, the yuppies in our ruling party don't give a f***. They didn't teach us our history, they teach us to feel ashamed of what we've done, they ask nothing of us and we ask them to spend debt-money so they can take care of us. At least Ontarians booted Wynne even though Wynne promised lots of freebies in a desperate last bid to bribe us with our own money, the treacherous wench. "Ask not what you can do for your country, ask what your country can do for you"
  16. The feds and provinces are now runnign surpluses. I can't actually accept that it's because they are actually responsible. Maybe they've saved a ton of cash on office supplies because lots of public servants are working from home. Apparently public servants were stealing billions in pens, notebooks, and office chairs ?
  17. Sorry to hear about your sister, but just keep in mind that people have strokes and aneurysms and heart attacks every day, so a lot of people are going to have one after they get the shot and think the vaccine did it. Just like parents linking vaccines to autism. It's also logical that even if there are deaths or permanent injuries from a vaccine, health officials will weight the risks and deaths associated with getting the vaccine vs not and if the risk is higher to not get the vaccine they'll still recommend it for "the greater good". Scary a bit but also i guess logical, and I wouldn't be shocked if they downplayed the risks to increase compliance. Anyways, i'm not really pushing anything, I trust my doctor and so far i've been going on his advice.
  18. Maybe they were afraid on the Spanish flu outbreak? Maybe what you're saying isn't true at all. You seem to work for Russian Television or something, and therefore haven't proven yourself much of a reliable source.
  19. I didn't challenge that (yet). You're trying to paint a narrative that logistical problems delaying the return of soldiers meant people didn't celebrate their return. Get effed dude. If your child, spouse, or sibling came home alive from a meatgrinder you're going to be happy.
  20. Yes we were British in WWI. A British declaration of war automatically meant Canada was at war. Canada didn't like this, so after WWI many policies were made independent of Britain. https://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/statute-of-westminster The Statute of Westminster, 1931 was signed, which meant, among other things, Canada would now declare war on its own and was constitutionally equal with Britain. Canada declared war on Nazi Germany independently and after Britain did, but nonetheless helped out their allies against a force that also threatened them. German U-boats sunk many Canadian naval vessels in the Atlantic and even close to Canada's eastern coastline. Canadian soldiers defended Canada's national security in WWII, they defended Canada before and since. Obviously the US also provides protection but don't dare lessen and dishonour Canadian sacrifices and patriotism. Their patriotism literally helped build the country you want to tear apart. You're just a holdover British nationalist/loyalist that has their knickers in a knot and wants anglo-Canada to seperate so you can turn them into something like Australia was back in the day. If you're loyal to Britain then move to Britain. To drag this crap into a Remembrance Day thread is revolting. You must work for the Chinese or Russian government or something. ?
  21. WTF are you talking about? More propaganda and lies you seditious weasel, how ironic. If you're going to preach history you better know wtf you're talking about: "When the war ended on November 11, 1918, a half holiday was declared. Every town held giant ‘Welcome Home’ celebrations for each batch of returning soldiers. ‘Welcome Home’ funds were collected for returning soldiers; local branches of the Great War Veteran’s Association were organized. In spite of the general celebrations, memories endured of those who had lost their lives." https://www.gov.mb.ca/chc/hrb/internal_reports/pdfs/war_memorials_ww1_stories.pdf
  22. Remembrance Day is a day to celebrate the sacrifices of our veterans. I don't think it's particularly political. My grandfathers served in WWII. The one I knew was a true Canadian bad@ss, i've never really met anyone like him. That generation were raised in the depression and then came of age overseas in warfare or praying their brothers & friends & classmates came home. My grandmother kept a scrapbook of newspaper clippings of the obituaries of boys she knew in her neighborhood and in her school that were killed in the war, she showed it to me when we were cleaning our her house when she was moving into her retirement home. That really hit home for me. Even though my grandfather served he refused to take a dime from the Legion, or use his veteran status to get any kind of discounts or freebies. He served with true honour. Imagine if our politicians served their country with that kind of integrity? They won't even put their jobs on the line for this country, let alone their lives. That said, I don't begrudge anyone that takes those things if they also do it honestly. I think the vets who see real action and put their lives on the line should be set up for life by our gov. Treat them like the heroes and martyrs they are as long as they serve with honour. The recruitment problem we have tells us a lot of things, but the bottom line is that young men and women don't want to serve and defend this country like they used to. Apparently even some of our vets even turn their backs on this country ; ) This country has failed them and failed you.
