  1. Lol The cities I named are on other lists of this type.
  2. Thanks to social media, the fringe now have a voice. They'd never get on Walter Cronkite 50 years ago. The reasonable get buried, they just don't get the ratings or web views anymore. Reasonable is boring.
  3. If hospitals are getting over-capacity again and nurses are quitting etc then you don't have much choice unfortunately. It all depends on the severity.
  4. 1. People with legal status did these jobs before. It seems quite racist to assume only illegal migrants or Mexicans/latinos can do a certain job while other races can't. 2. Let's even assume your racist point that only latinos want to do these jobs is true. Then have latinos with legal status do them, immigrate them into the country for these jobs, put them on the books, protect the workers with labour laws. Many of these companies do not follow labour laws and the migrants have no legal recourse and companies can use their legal status to threaten and exploit them.
  5. Americans don't like to depend on government for much of anything. That includes self-protection. They don't trust government, it's the very origin of the country. Americans are very independent, Canadians are less so, Canadians don't mind being controlled by government authority as much, and don't mind government dependency. This is the crux of the gun culture there. But Americans need to calm down with the guns and let the police handle things a lot more. It's far safer. But I admire the sentiment of self-reliance, it just doesn't work with guns in this age.
  6. I would like the PM to finally call for a public inquiry on foreign interference. The refusal is an admission of guilt in my books. The board of directors at the Trudeau Foundation resigned over a very suspicious Chinese donation a year before JT was first elected. I don't think most Canadians are naive about our Prime Minister, or the Liberals. Or the ON PC party. I have not much faith in the CPC either. Our system is bought and paid for at every level. It needs reform. Our politicians are not ethical. The ON auditor general said the Housing Minister didn't know what their chief of staff was doing, but i don't really believe it. The developers are in tight with the PC Party.
  7. Comparable to SNC Lavalin. There's a lot of crookedness going on at all levels of government, and the vast majority we never hear about. Corruption is destroying the US and Canada, and many other western countries. Corporate influence needs to eliminated by law and prosecuted. Nobody ever goes to jail.
  8. Don't blame Reagan and Thatcher at all...or Brian Mulroney. It's all Clinton's fault! They all sucked on the shlong of corporate America and sodomized the American (and Canadian) worker. Squabble over your favorite party while they all sodomize you. It's like fighting over the colour of the spiked dildo they shove up your rump. I hope you all have enjoyed my analogies.
  9. The labour part isn't parasitic, I agree. These fine folks in these factories are working hard for little pay to feed their families. I have no quarrels with no nor should anyone. However, many Chinese companies and the government itself are parasitic. They steal IP from any country that has anything of value to sell. Not only western, but Korean and Japanese electronics too etc. Of the products Chinese companies themselves sell I would imagine they sell by far the highest % of knock-offs among any country in the world...by a large margin. They have a bootleg economy filled with thieves. They helped destroy Nortel, backed by the government. It's economic warfare. https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/nortel-collapse-linked-to-chinese-hackers-1.1260591 https://nationalpost.com/news/exclusive-did-huawei-bring-down-nortel-corporate-espionage-theft-and-the-parallel-rise-and-fall-of-two-telecom-giants
  10. I believe that human adults are responsible for their own actions. I have met quite a few bad people in my day. And some who seem nice but are actually quite selfish. I've had some terrible human beings as neighbours, co-workers, fellow drivers on the road, landlords, bosses, acquaintances, friends who I thought were friends. People today are more selfish today than any other point in my lifetime. And on the plus, they're soft, weak, entitled, and make excuses for everyone like you're doing now. You have a victim-mentality like many other Canadians and liberal-types. Canadians voted these people in and kept voting for them election after election. Canadian politicians chose to allow Chinese communists to infiltrate our political system. The Trudeau's are communist sympathizers, we let them in and crowned them a dynasty.
  11. Our enemy is corruption. Do not defend your preferred party that is corrupt because its better than the other corrupt party. Unite to defeat our real political enemy: corruption.
  12. The working class get to choose which rich elite paid off by corporations and mega-rich people get to rule them. We're ruled by unethical white collars and their white collar donors because blue collars and ethical white collars don't have enough money to campaign and advertise and run a party. Don't ever rock the boat.
  13. I don't believe this list. Detroit isn't even on the list, or Memphis, or Baltimore.
  14. A country run by the Ontario government would be dominated but the Anglo Liberals like most of the last few decades. They are pathetic. A lot of the Toronto progressives where they come from are pathetic. The ON PC party is pathetic. The American government is even pathetic, and a lot of the American voters are too. We're seeing civilization decline, I don't blame the politicians in the end, I blame the people themselves and I blame the culture. We have overabundance and decadence, we have become weak and entitled and stupid.
  15. Upper Canada hasn't existed since 1841 LOL. Just like the Bloc you despise Canada and want to destroy it. Canadians have defeated both of you and will continue to do so. One of the few good things i can say about the Trudeau's is that they didn't believe in this group identity sub-nationalism BS, like Quebec seperatism or British domination, and both believed in a united Canada. Diversity is not our strength, unity is.
  16. Doubtful. It's the reserve currency because the US dollar is so strong and stable, not the other way around. Investors don't see Brazil, Russia, India, China as safe investments like the US, not even close. Would you park your money in a Chinese or Indian or Russian bank? I wouldn't. US and government and western corporations are still far more trustworthy and stable. These other countries are run like the mafia.
  17. Consider there wasn't massive violent uprisings during the Great Depression throughout most of the western world, people just dealt with it and demanded significant reforms to the system. No communist, no fascism. What's different now is that it's just a tight squeeze, over and over, on working people. I don't see any outlandish over-speculation. The only thing I see is the big debt loads people have, it's possible people just can't eventually pay and there's a big recession like 2008. I wish I could have invested in real estate development companies in Canada 20 years ago, i'd be rich.
  18. The ON Liberals are corrupt. The ON PC Party is corrupt. The NDP et al. are nutters, and will become corrupted once they get a sniff of power. Good job Ontario politicians.
  19. I wouldn't say "no difference", but it would be minimal in the grand scheme. Tackling climate change will involve some sacrifice of everyone in the world to make changes until green energy and technology are dominant.
  20. Homeless people head to the west coast for the programs, lax laws/attitudes, and the better weather. Most homeless don't want to spend the winter in North Dakota. I saw a homeless person in a neighbouring suburb in my city for the first time in my entire life. It was just a typical middle class suburb, it was shocking.
  21. BAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAA!!! ?? Giving homeless people money, like welfare, is often not useful. They will spend it on their addiction, which is why many are homeless in the first place. You don't have rent money if you compulsively spend on your addiction. So you have to provide social housing for them. They are literally dependents of the state.
  22. That's hard to watch, no matter who he is. I hope he retires and his health gets better.
  23. I mean there might be something about a bathroom or changeroom for trans people.
  24. Agree. So then what is the definition of "far-right"? Nazi support is obviously one. Is being racist enough to be declared "far right". That would mean a large % of the population is closet far-right. It would mean the US at its foundation was far-right? So I think the definition is beyond racism or ethnic/racial nationalism. I don't think Quebec is far-right, they aren't fascist. Maybe extreme nationalism is part of it, or extreme racism (murdering people based on race).
