  1. I guess we have to hear what they said, and whether they were saying it loud enough to purposefully harass another passenger. Like if they talking about raping women to try to intimidate a female bus passenger, well that's not right.
  2. Whenever I've disliked a thread of yours i've hit the button at the top right of the OP and hit the "report" button. I kid, I kid...
  3. No, it doesn't strike me as odd that Hamas, a bunch of jihadist terrorists since the 1980's, are a bunch of dictator mafia thugs who immediately wiped out their political opposition. Hard to say if they'd still win an election, but they maybe should have thought about who they were before they elected them? Also, enough support for them to hear crowds cheering as rockets were launched from Gaza into israel at civilians 2 weeks ago:
  4. I agree with the very wealthy and corporations paying more to workers and a higher % of our tax revenues. Not sure how that scheme would work, maybe tax credits. I don't think UBI should be "universal", as in anyone gets it for any reason, including just being too lazy to work. If AI means people legit can't find any job then sure we can support them financially.
  5. It's probably more the NDP putting pressure on the Liberals for UBI.
  6. I don't have a problem with UBI in this sense, as long as UBI continues to have qualifiers. It should be low enough to still provide enough incentive to work, and if you're healthy and simply refuse to work because you don't deserve society's support. Would feel no guilt even if those people starved to death since that was their choice. If you got laid off and can't find a job or you're sick etc then yes of course society should help you.
  7. Hamas is not "Palestine", but Hamas is the governing party in power within Gaza. They were democratically elected in 2006 in Gaza: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_Palestinian_legislative_election I would not take any info from any Palestinian government authority, or Israeli government authority, on its own without evidence, especially during a war. The Palestinian Ministry of Health already lied about the hospital.
  8. I have no doubt that there were many racist antisemites within the CPC during WWII, and likely more than in the Liberal Party. And I'd also wager the Liberal Party did more to support getting rid of racial discrimination like that than the CPC. Well this doesn't include how woke ideology defines a "social injustice" or their remedies for them. It is a disgustingly racist and sexist ideology, among other forms of discrimination, and fundamentally illiberal. Fun reading into the mind of the woke: https://www.penguin.co.uk/articles/2020/06/ibram-x-kendi-definition-of-antiracist I don't have an issue rejecting permanent residence of refugees in Canada based on their ideology for security reasons, such as Leninists/Maoists during the Cold War, or Islamic jihadists who advocate for Sharia Law. I wouldn't deny helping those refugees however, including temporary residence here before resettlement elsewhere. Allowing people to permanently settle in Canada who seek to politically overturn our entire system is not in our national interests. "Noses" are not a threat to our basic security and therefore totally irrelevant.
  9. This is not correct. The Palestinian Ministry of Health is run by Hamas, who are the elected government party of Gaza, who are also a terrorist group, including as designated by our government: "In Gaza, 3,000 people have been killed and another 12,500 were injured, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health." https://abcnews.go.com/International/live-updates/israel-gaza-hamas/?id=103804516 "Health authorities in Gaza said prior to Tuesday's incident at least 3,000 people had been killed in Israel's 11 days of bombing since Hamas militants rampaged into Israeli towns on Oct. 7, killing more than 1,300 soldiers and civilians." https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/least-500-victims-israeli-air-strike-hospital-gaza-health-ministry-2023-10-17/ "In Gaza, the Health Ministry said Monday that Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 2,750 people and wounded at least 9,700." https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates/israel-hamas-war-gaza-strip/ "Authorities in Gaza say at least 2,808 people have been killed so far by the Israeli strikes — a quarter of them children — and about 10,850 have been wounded." https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/west-bank-jordan-canadians-1.6997282
  10. Society will be much better off when AI and robotics do all the work for us and we all get to sit on our fat arses and do nothing if we choose, which many will. What could go wrong?
  11. No you mean better living up to their liberalism ideals, which means treating people the same regardless of race. Woke means treating people differently depending on their skin colour, which is anti-liberal.
  12. That's right, why is the MSM reporting numbers provided by Hamas as if they have any credibility? The terrible misinformation reporting over the hospital incident is almost libelous. Journalists need to do their job better. As for the arrests reported by Al Jazeera, I don't trust reports from a media outlet owned by the monarchy of Qatar and numbers coming from "Palestinian officials", otherwise meaning Hamas, especially without evidence.
  13. What are your sources for these numbers? The only sources for the civilian casualties I've heard in the MSM is from the Palestinian Health Ministry, which is controlled by Hamas.
  14. If you support Hamas I want to see who you are. Out yourself in public please so I can use my free speech to call you a piece of crap. Hamas and Palestine are different things. But some protestors in Canada are on video protesting against the existence of Israel ("From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free"). Free speech anyways.
  15. That's where the aboriginals live. They definitely do not like the "traditional Canadian values", and also want the free goodies.
  16. Urban people are more exposed to new ideas, experiences, people, cultures etc. They are also wealthier generally, and therefore more spoiled, entitled, and coddled (see others as victims). Rural people are not as exposed to new ideas, experiences, people, cultures etc so they lean more to traditional values, but also dare I say sometimes ignorant. They grow up and live less spoiled and coddled and more self-reliant (personal responsibility). Both urban and rural people will be offended by what I just said.
  17. You're confusing PP with Trump just like this reporter. Please name these "pro-white" policies of PP's, and why the recent jump in the polls for PP and his party are due to "whitelash" as opposed to things like inflation/cost of living, Liberal corruption and other bungles etc. Trudeau has done enough to further ethnic and gender tensions in Canada, including race-based and gender-based discrimination in government hiring.
  18. Good job by media and politicians to take the Hamas government's word on the attack and the # of casualties without verifying anything. Looks like nobody hit the hospital, it hit a small outdoor parking lot and we don't even know if it was Israel or some Palestinian group that did it. Don't take Israel's word for it either.
  19. Looks like the hospital outdoor parking lot was hit and most of the cars were damaged from fire, and the hospital buildings weren't structurally damaged. The 500 dead number provided by Hamas is looking doubtful.
  20. Nah just donations from the defense industry.
  21. I judge a man by their actions. We've had 8 years plus a previous lifetime of behaviour to witness his. His motivations aren't difficult to perceive IMO. I call it a thesis rather than a guess. There's lots of evidence I can use to back up my thesis, and like any opinion you or anyone can make counter-arguments. The good of the country is not his primary motivation for public service IMO. I'm not saying he hasn't tried doing good things for Canada or Canadians. This is the truth as I perceive it, and the truth is always useful, regardless of whether or not it agrees with what the "chuds" also say. As you know, other people's opinions are not relevant to my own. If you disagree with my opinion then tell me why i'm wrong.
  22. You're free to disagree, but I don't need lecturing.
