  1. Now who is trying to centralize power: Tom Addison a riding Pres. Is coordinating a “large” group of concerned Liberals because the proposed new constitution is an attempt to centralize power “within a small circle around the leader.”

  2. I don't think there's any evidence of that, the video clearly shows him trying to get through as an NDPer deliberately blocks his way. Either way, Trudeau was still way out of line crossing the floor and grabbing his arm, he did apologize for his 'disgraceful' behaviour. There's no spinning what Trudeau did as being justified, no matter what mischief the NDP where up to, the PM chose to act the way he did.
  3. The fair elections act was no where near as drastic nor did it change the our fundamental system .... there is no comparison. The last time people voted in Ontario was against such a change... I'm curious... how did the Liberals sabotage that referendum?
  4. A poll here says that 73% want a referendum http://globalnews.ca/news/2714474/73-of-canadians-want-national-referendum-on-electoral-reform-poll-suggests/
  5. He's not allowed to cross to the other side, it's against the procedure. The Liberal whip, Leslie could've taken his seat at which time the voting could've started. Maybe, Brown didn't want to push or manhandle anyone to get through, he was being polite, unlike Trudeau who needs some anger management.
  6. That's only part of it. Natural gas is to be gradually phased out with new construction requiring all new homes by 2030 to be heated with electricity or geothermal systems. The target is for 12% of new vehicles to be electric by 2025. There will be grants for retrofitting homes to move off natural gas. Our second home in Toronto was an all electric home (remember live better electrically), after a couple of years we put a gas furnace in, I would never willingly switch back to electric heat.
  7. A draconian suggestion which could lead to the collapse of Ontario's economy and housing, imagine having to pay another 2 - 3K for electric heat. I'm surprised there isn't a thread on this blueprint for disaster, in fact I've just signed a petition against it. I'm hoping that the PCs will be able to leverage this to a win next election.
  8. How dare the mother of an autistic child protest outside a Liberal MPP's office. Send the cops then off with her head!

Silly mother, thinking that society or the government actually cares about the lives of men and boys.

  9. The story should also be about why he cannot control his anger or impulses which speaks to immaturity and the need for anger management if nothing else. Even Harper of the Toronto Star is recognizing the problems https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2016/05/19/liberals-had-been-elbows-up-before-justin-trudeau-got-physical-tim-harper.html OTTAWA—Strip away the contrition, the high dudgeon and the blinkered Liberal apologists suggesting we should just get past the sorry spectacle in the House of Commons this week and you are left with an unassailable truth. The Justin Trudeau Liberals have been treating the Commons as an annoyance, an inconvenient necessity that merely gets in the way of the Liberal show and its ever-burgeoning approval rating.
  10. This link confirms the OP... there is one refugee who is 104... Immigration Canada has allready said that generally speaking the needs of this population are higher than expected http://www.vancouversun.com/health/mental+illness+disabilities+struggle+some+syrian+families/11779813/story.html
  11. I guess he along with Sophie needs more help... Question: If either of the two people who were assaulted (or whatever) pressed charges, would Trudeau have to step down until the investigation was over?

  13. Starting a thread to specifically denigrate a member in good standing is definitely not a good idea.
  14. This is not 'minor', the PM manhandled someone which could be seen as an assault. The incident also prevented an MP from voting which will (or should) require an inquiry.
  15. Seriously... the site is owned by the Lethbridge University and was originally an experiment of some kind... Greg is the Director of IT for them so runs the site as part of his job, he is the project director for this site. http://mapleleafweb.com/about-maple-leaf-web

your nice study about pollutants didn't include emissions! LOL

  18. Home heating costs will become more than the mortgage payments, how smart is that. How often does hydro go out, particularly in the winter… Don’t geothermal systems and heat pumps need electric power to operate. You think people can’t afford to buy homes now, wait until this happens. Wait until you are stuck in an electric car in snow, see how long that will keep you warm.

Will Ontario halt all production of IC autos ?

  20. I just about threw up when I read that one. She's just screwing the province over and as the article said, it will cause massive disruption. If this is put through by the election it could be enough to force a change of gov't, one which we hope will cancel it. If other provinces do not follow suite I can see a lot of people leaving Ontario. This will cause undue hardship for many people no matter how much they give for a retrofit, electric heat is too expensive for everyone, and it's not getting any cheaper. Massive disruption is putting it mildly. I don't have a problem with requiring new homes to be more energy efficient, they should all be at least R2000. They should also give grants for people to upgrade insulation and put in better windows etc. Time to protest...

  24. She's hardly 'evil' but a very entitled woman, so why does she have to work off her dining room table? Laureen Harper did not have a nanny, she chose to look after the kids herself, it wasn't until the kids were older that she became more involved with charitable work. According to the Liberals, all spouses are given a staffer.
  25. I can imagine the screeching from the left if we were to let in tens of thousands of hard line fundamental Christians... Even the ex equalities chief recognizes the issues . Meanwhile Australia also is re-inforcing their hard line approach http://www.breitbart.com/london/2016/05/14/australia-reaffirms-hard-line-immigration-policy/
