What happened to Captain Canada?
-
HEy westcoast runner.....any proof that I'm Captain Canada? Or just a baseless accusation?

He's Capn Canada, I have no doubt!
-
I didn't run from you, ash. You couldn't answer simple questions. You think the main focus of math is making change. LOL
-
I'm still waiting for the answer to that bizarre Cp. Canada post claiming to be merlin and socialist also. Is someone else using your user ID or screen name, or did you post that message yourself? If not, who is Cp. Canada?
-
Anyone remember when I said SNN was on its way out? canadians aren't dumb. Canadians prefer the CBC.

I would imagine you are a Fox fan. I have no idea where it is on the dial.

"I would imagine you are a Fox fan. I have no idea where it is on the dial. "
You'd be wrong. but we both know how used to that you are.

Public schools promote diversity and equality. Some want to widen the gap.

Gosthacked avoided me in chat. Scared I guess.

Gosthacked has every right to call Socialist out. Nobody is scared of you except for the remote chance you are a teacher and we all fear for your students. But socialist does start some interesting debates. He does not have the ability to tke part in said debates but he has started a few good ones
-
Ash, all you do is follow me around while offering nothing of substance.
-
Damn. Thought I was sticking up for you. Just no pleasing some people I guess

Speaking of the CMHR, did anyone know that Manitoba teachers donated $1.5 million of their own money to that great museum? Teachers care about human rights.

Union leaders like to make grandiose use of their membership's forced donations, but never ask the members.

The Koch brothers will pay a billion bucks next election to the Republican party, but don't worry, they don't expect any sort of quid pro quo from that.

My day started 2 hours ago, preparing invigorating lessons for my learners.

LOL you really believe he's a teacher.
-
I'm not sure but I hope not. His posts do more to discredit the profession. Maybe that's the point of the character being portrayed.
-
Should let them discover their own lessons.

Another 11 hour day so far, and not done yet.

Just a heads up. WE DON'T BELIEVE YOU!!!
Have a good night.
-
I believe him... but I don't believe that he is one of the good teachers... I believe he's one of those people that takes 12 hours to do something that a normal person could do in 7 hours.
-
You do know that if you do that for 11 hours continually you'll go blind, don't you?
-
Some people are able to watch the Super Bowl. I can't. I have to spend many hours planning for my learners. No days off for me.

It's an excellent way to spend that time. That is until one of the team throws the game away with 20 seconds left in the game.
-
That's a matter of opinion. Personally I watched the Erzberg Rodeo, Last Man Standing Enduro. Now that's a truly ball breaking only supermen need apply event.

Sports aren't everyone's cup of tea. American Football is a great strategic sport.

Ontario will greatly benefit from Liberal-Liberal governments. Remember that when you vote.

I think the Talking Point is that Stephen Harper is purposely stealing money from Ontario and that's why the Wynne government has to waste money and run up a huge deficit.
-
Boges, Harper nor Chretien do not nor ever did steal money. Neither did Al Capone.....as for 'employees'..
-
I need that new tax cut. I am sending my kids to private school and that is pricey

Ontario will greatly benefit with Trudeau as PM. Remember that when you vote, residents of Ontario.

Who knows who will be PM after the election but if the NDP and the Tories keep hammering on Justin, then you may see the 60% who didn't support Harper vote NDP.
-
Never in Ontario. The NDP has been pushed back t protest party here.
-
"you may see the 60% who didn't support Harper vote NDP." This fantasy from the left surfaces every election. Every election.

I do know that we have too much individualism and not enough concern for the common good.

What happened to Waldo?

Does that guy ever learn?
-
I thought he may have been tired with dealing with all these Climate Denier. Either that or the price of oil has destroyed his environmentalist sensibilities.
-
If Waldo was banned/sent to the cooler, then it is a dam shame and a poor reflection on this forum. Especially when we have folks like Shady saying 'does that guy ever learn' or socialist saying 'hopefully he comes back with better understanding'.

Many know nothings here wouldn't last a week in a public classroom.

Do you not see the arrogance of your statement about "know nothings"? Personally, given what you've told us about yourself I would have to consider you the "know nothing". You've admitted that you cant do math, no nothing of science. Thats just two things. Can you re-wire a house? Can you repair and rebuild engines? Can you make precision parts? Can you plumb a bathroom? Build an extension on a house, or even just a deck? Can you build a computer? So who exactly is the...
-
"know nothing"? It seems you are singularly lacking in just about any usefull or productive skill. Yet you have the sheer unmitigated gall to accuse others of being "know nothings". You really do take the cake!

I'm seeing too many burnt out, stressed out teachers. People have no idea.

A lot of burnt out, stressed out people in all professions. Considering the Scandinavians lead in pretty much every quality of life metric, I think we should borrow some ideas.
-
So whats next? Multitudes of teachers claiming they're suffering from PTSD?
-
I'd have PTSD if I had to deal with those little shits all day, every day...

Some people want me gone. Too bad. I'm staying.

Who wants you gone? Or is it that you believe people who disagree with your absurd and laughable statements want you gone?

I bet no one has said you shouold go. But martyrs be martyring

I wonder how many people here have a Masters degree?

Ask bubber what your sentence structure and vocabulary level is.
-
Bubber should worry about himself. Why did you end a sentence with "is"?
-
Because grammar 'is' not important.

People here don't even understand that the public education system has a mandate to create tolerant, global citizens. It shows how out of touch many of you truly are.

So out of arrogance you think we aren't educated?

Start with ISIS.

I thought it was about critical thinking, and not being a manufactured peon.

Just because you went to school 20 years ago, it doesn't mean you understand the 21st century public education system.

Some people think teachers with masters degrees shouldn't be paid more. Ridiculous!
- Show previous comments 5 more
-
If the job needs a Masters degree, then the pay should reflect that.
If a specific job doesn't require a Masters, then there shouldn't be extra pay for having one.
A kindergarten teacher with a Masters should receive the same pay as the K teacher without.
-
Damn that is a good point. Equal work for equal pay.
