  3. Look at most, if not all, G6 minus 1 members!
  4. https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/10/politics/peter-navarro-justin-trudeau/index.html I'm highlighting "socialist." I don't believe that Trump is against the western world. His beef is with the socialist ideology that drives these leaders!
  5. Kudlow had said that he was in the room when Trump and Trudeau were having their meeting, and he said that the negotiation was going on progressively. Morneau had said the same thing to Evan Solomon - that the meeting was constructive (so they were getting somewhere if that's the case) - therefore, what Kudlow had said isn't false. Trudeau's speech (which he'd said repeatedly BEFORE this bilateral meeting).....some of it must've gone contrary to what was being achieved at that bilateral meeting (during the G7 summit). he must've walked back on some of it. I don't know what was said at that bilateral meeting.....Morneau was vague about it.
  6. By now, we already know about the press conference given by Trump prior to leaving for Singapore, and the famous closing statement at the G7 meeting given by Trudeau: and his statement had triggered Trump's famous tweet: Based on Justin’s false statements at his news conference, and the fact that Canada is charging massive Tariffs to our U.S. farmers, workers and companies, I have instructed our U.S. Reps not to endorse the Communique as we look at Tariffs on automobiles flooding the U.S. Market! http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/g7-leaders-final-communique-1.4699658 ------------------- http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/white-house-adviser-kudlow-trump-trudeau-g7-summit-blame-1.4700061 I watched Kudlow on Face The Nation (the video clip isn't up yet), and he blasted Trudeau for his closing statement. Kudlow said that he was in the room when they had the bilateral meeting - and it was progressing (the same sentiment was repeated by Morneau at Evan Solomon's Question Period, that it was constructive and progressing). Kudlow said that Trudeau should know better than to take pot-shots at Trump, especially at a time when Trump is headed for an important negotiation with Kim Jong Un - Trump would definitely want to look strong, and wouldn't let any pot-shots go by! APPARENTLY....EVERYTHING WAS GOING ON PROGRESSIVELY.....UNTIL TRUDEAU MADE HIS POT SHOTS AGAIN! At a worst timing to boot! Now, we're facing a very critical time (according to Solomon). Putting a tarriff on automobiles will hit our economy really bad. Retaliation won't do us any good - at the end of the day.....it's Canada that will suffer the most. What to do with this Trudeau? He can't control himself!

  8. Actually, election in Ontario is always important. Especially this one. You think Conservative parties in other provinces aren't watching and analysing what made Ford win........despite having had a short time to prepare for the election, and despite the smears and family scandal? Depending on how Ford governs - it would be an influence in the coming Federal election. If Ford does well as a Premier, boy....... ........you might see an ocean of blue 18 months from now.
  9. Did any of these two called to congratulate Doug? Ford had stopped his supporters from booing (when he mentioned the two parties) during his victory speech. He was gracious even in his victory - to say that for all their differences, they're all sharing the same vision of wanting the best for Ontario. Yes, it's Horvath who turned out to be divisive.....boy, another good thing she didn't win!
  10. It was her voice that sounds familiar to me. She sounds like Hillary.

Meanwhile, another international summit is being held in China. President Xi Jinping is hosting a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), a regional security bloc, in the eastern city of Qingdao.

President Vladimir Putin of Russia, as well as leaders from Iran, India, Pakistan, and four central Asian, are taking part.

The G7 has outlived its usefulness. The politics of member countries have changed since it was formed in the 70s. For example, Canada has veered to the left and Trudeau is more concerned about raising gender issues and climate apocalypse than advancing democracy, which should be the focus of these talks.

  12. Cannabis, our next............. boondagle.
  13. He did. In his victory speech! His supporters started booing when he mentioned the other two parties - but he stopped them. He said more or less that even though they're coming from various angles, they all have the same goal.
  14. Uh-oh.   Italy's PM just got himself in-lined with Trump regarding Putin.

And, Japan's Abe is more keen on North Korea discussion than the tarriff.

And,  the Brits feel like snubbed by Trump.

Donald Trump 'tired of Theresa May's school mistress tone’ and will not hold talks with her at G7

Looks like Trump's coming with both barrels.  :D   He's aiming for these two.   Doesn't bode well for the  Emmanuel and Justin.

The Group of Seven or G7 is a group consisting of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. These countries, with seven of the largest advanced economies in the world,[1] represent more than 62% of the global net wealth ($280 trillion). [2][3] The G7 countries also represent 46% of the global gross domestic product (GDP) based on nominal values; and 32% of the global GDP based on purchasing power parity.[4][not in citation given] The European Union is also represented at the G7 summit.

If it's okay for these nations to aggressively seek trade with China....China should be among them.

Well, maybe if China were savvy about buying and owning presidents, they would have someone willing to get them in without having to meet the basic standards.

  15. Still not getting it? I said before.....you can even raise the minimum wage to $30......but that won't do any good IF THERE ARE NO JOBS TO BE FOUND! You can gloat, "yeah, we raised our minimum wage to $15 an hour." BUT you're getting nowhere near anything if you don't have a job! Furthermore......raising it high could also hurt those who are already employed, when companies start laying off people, replacing them with high tech! Look what happened to a WalMart in Quebec years ago with their battle with the Union! Walmart closed shop! You think you've got big corporations by the nose???? Think again! And I say, that wage hike will cause a ripple effect. Everyone will end up wanting a pay hike! Those who normally get $15 per hour will now want more than that! Like the retail supervisor! The store manager will definitely want to have a hike too, if the supervisor gets it! Why shouldn't they? Especially when they have higher education and/or bigger responsibilities? It's all relative. The cost for everything will rise up. From fresh produce to luxury items! Apple pickers will get the wage hike - of course, cost for apples will go up! Doh! At the end of the day, your $15 gets you nothing except being back to square one! $15 per hour becomes just paper money - it's worth the same like what you've got before! Who ends up footing the cost? Consumers! Taxpayers! You'll be driving small business out of the picture! They won't survive! You'll end up with only the ones you hate the most - BIG CORPORATIONS!
  16. Austria to close down 7 mosques and expel imams!

    Quote

Austria’s government said Friday that it is closing seven mosques and plans to expel imams in a crackdown on “political Islam” and foreign financing of religious groups.

Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said the government is shutting a hardline Turkish nationalist mosque in Vienna and dissolving a group called the Arab Religious Community that runs six mosques.

“Parallel societies, political Islam and tendencies toward radicalization have no place in our country,” Kurz told reporters in Vienna.

No worries.   Come to Canada  and  claim persecution.   Trudeau said you're welcome no matter whom you love or where you stand.   Go to Montreal for sanctuary.

There is no way the Islamophiles would ever allow mosques in Canada to be scrutinized,

Wow!  Who knew that Islamophiles held so much power in Canada as to prevent the carrying out of legal investigations!

Or is this perhaps just more of the alt-right propaganda about the dangers of immigration, Muslims and the Leftist agenda to ruin Canada?  Not that anyone here is alt-right of course; merely a bunch of citizens concerned about immigration, Islam and the leftist agenda to ruin Canada.

Some of you folks should find some historical propaganda and do a comparison on what you believe about Muslims and Islam against the claims made against the Irish, Jews, Catholics, Japanese and Eastern Europeans at different times in history.  Perhaps the similarities would make you as sick as they made me.

  23. I very much doubt that. Those "dirty laundry" - if there are any - would've been the leverage needed to get Doug to give money. The time to expose everything would've been at that same day they talked to the media. Their aim was to hurt Doug's chances of winning.
