  1. Never mind other countries! being an ally, you can say that we've meddeld too. Trudeau meddled in US politics by doing a drive-by attack on Trump even as early as the Primary election. He's still doing so, with his latest poke at Trump in a US university, right at a time when they were negotiating NAFTA! Despite what he claims.......Trudeau isn't playing nice.
  2. I don't really understand how that works. Housing will be affected.
  3. What's with this numbers? What more numbers do you need when they're talking beds in hospital hallways? is that normal to you? Shortage of affordable housing? Toronto and Quebec clamoring for financial help? Lol. they can't even have enough guards to help with the influx that they have to pull some airport guards to do the job!
  4. Your town won't be safe with undesirables. They can move anywhere in Ontario!
  5. Lol. Canadians can't afford housing prices in Toronto - some are moving out of Toronto - https://www.thestar.com/opinion/letters_to_the_editors/2018/01/18/your-letters-young-families-cant-afford-to-live-in-toronto.html https://globalnews.ca/news/3313407/toronto-average-home-price/ .......yet here we are, providing free housing to illegals. And Andrea is going to invite the undesirables to move in. Go figure!
  6. Horvath will turn Ontario into a sanctuary! What cockamamie plan is that? http://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/malcolm-canada-doesnt-need-another-sanctuary-politician https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/toronto-opens-800-beds-for-asylum-seekers-asks-for-millions-in-provincial-federal-help-1.3944406 https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/quebec-asks-for-federal-help-as-number-of-asylum-seekers-spikes-1.3886918 Spending! Spending! Spending! They surely picked a fine time to do it, too - right when we're already struggling! What about hospitals? They put people in hallways now. With more coming - thanks to this sanctuary, all illegals will make a beeline for Ontario - where will we put more people? In parking lots? Andrea Horvath isn't just tone-deaf. HORVATH. IS. BRAIN-DEAD.
  7. Yesterday, she made headlines by being the first candidate to "concede" defeat in the face of what's obvious - that, she's not going to win. So, what does she advise people? She says......to stop a PC or an NDP majority. Now, let me ask you: who do you think Wynne will prefer to win if the choices are only between the PC and the NDP? Of course she'll prefer the one closest to her vision - the NDP! Don't they share quite the same platform? Especially when it comes to their spending spree plan? What Wynne's not telling us, is to not make it a PC majority! Period. She has to mention the NDP in that same speech, to seem impartial...... to not scare us with the spectre of an NDP-Liberal coalition. Wynne didn't make that speech for nothing. Yes, she's conceded......but her narrative is to try to stop a PC or NDP majority. That speech of hers could make people vote Liberals just to stop those majority - but if everyone's going to think that they're voting to stop any of those majority - and they all vote Liberals in an effort to do just that - Wynne might suddenly find herself in power again! That's the gamble she's making with that speech. That people get so scared of either an NDP or PC majority that they'll vote Liberals. We just might wake up with a sudden bounced up for the Liberals, or even worst - have Wynne back up on Queen again. Don't get fooled by that speech. Wynne has nothing to lose......but everything to gain. Spread this on social media! Warn people about the danger of falling for that line. If people want REAL change - don't vote for the Liberals, or it's look-alike, the NDP! You've got to make it a PC majority!
  8. That, and poking at Trump in public events! It's almost like as if Trudeau is sabotaging the negotiations for failure. Maybe, so he can further use the anti-Trump sentiment? It's now Trump against us all Canadians? That'll be the narrative? And all Canadians will unite behind our PM, seeing that Trump is being a "bully" and "hurting" us? Could that be a likely agenda here? Setting the stage for the coming election?
  9. The only strategy they knew was this so-called "charm offensive!" They blew that too, by blabbing to the media that that's what they're going to do. Who blabs about things like that? On TV! I know, they were showing their confidence and saying that to Canadians......but, of course, Trump people in the White House would get wind of that! Right off the bath, you're putting yourself in a losing position! This "charm offensive" actually makes your opponent resist you harder.....because you warned them about it! If they allow themselves to be "charmed" - it means they're dough-heads who can easily fall for something like that! In other words, if they concede (even if charm had nothing to do with it), it will still look like they did get charmed. Now, who wants to look like a softie?
  10. ....and I don't think Trump is the kind who easily forgets.
  11. Will Trump show up at the G7 Summit?  Maybe not.

      Btw..........looks like it's 2 vs 5.  IF Conte's a populist.

  12. Let them laugh. U.S. job growth surges, unemployment rate falls to 3.8 percent https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-economy/us-job-growth-seen-picking-up-wage-growth-likely-moderate-idUSKCN1IW1NX
  13. Uh-oh.   Trump mentioned Canada's agriculture.   I think we can assume what will come next.

  14. No. The moron is the one who's got the very big mouth, and couldn't help himself from preening at the expense of whom he considers a "friend" - even at the time they were having this crucial negotiations.
  15. By the way folks.....when it comes to business.....you know the old adage: business is business. So, don't use this so-called "friendship" as a rebuttal. What more when we know what kind of "friend" to Trump Trudeau had shown himself to be. Why, surely you don't imagine all those drive-by snippets to make himself look better (at the expense of Trump), wouldn't have any repercussions, do you??
  16. I'm in a hard place. I'm applauding Trump - yet at the same time, I'm also wanting to see Canada do better. But.....I think, on this round, I'm putting my money on Trump. "Doing better," is not in the cards when the one at our helm has proven nothing but his incompetence. I'll wait and see what happens when a Conservative takes the leadership. In the meantime, we'll just have to grin and bear it. Anyway.....we don't know if there'll be another pre-condition. What if that's the only pre-condition?
  17. Here are the proposed products. https://www.fin.gc.ca/activty/consult/cacsap-cmpcaa-eng.asp
  18. Trudeau was asking to meet personally with Trump - leader to leader talk - because he felt that they had a good chance of making a deal. However, VP Pence called Trudeau and informed him that there is a pre-condition to the meeting. Canada has to agree to the sunset clause - meaning, NAFTA will be up for re-negotiations every 5 years. Trudeau refused, and effectively put an end to negotiations. Was that practical? It's not like as if Trump is President for life! If Trudeau was confident enough to think that they'll come to a deal if they talked face-to-face, wouldn't it better to have agreed to the pre-condition, and have it repealed later with a new President instead of having this trade war? It's such a bad timing for a trade war - what with all the economic woes Canada is facing at the moment. They'd just lost Kinder Morgan to boot! What do you think?
  19. Canada will retaliate. They say the new surtaxes for some American products will start in July. Okay......what are the good American buys? I might need to stock up before the surtaxes apply. Costco? Anyway.....how much more would it cost? Cents? Dollars? I mean....if it's only a few cents more.....to make the long story short: What American products do you normally buy?
  20. When Canadians start actually feeling the hurt, big-time......they'll want a new PM! They'll want someone who can navigate sensibly, and competently, during the hard times. They won't care about cute - they'll want a grown-up! I had a feeling even way back that Trump could play a pivotal role in booting out Trudeau. Another reason why I like Trump. With Kinder-Morgan gone, and most likely scaring other businesses even more, after they'd seen the fiasco of the pipeline...... https://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/in-justin-trudeaus-canada-we-still-cant-get-anything-big-done/article38086398/ With NAFTA gone, and now we're starting with the trade war...... With all the deficits on top of all these, and the influx of illegal refugees still crossing the borders as we speak....... Buckle up. It's gonna be a real tough ride now. You think it's just a coincidence that Trudeau's pushing for the marijuana legislation asap?? Boy, surely folks need to get disensitized from the hurt coming our way.....what better way than to be stoned, and see the world in a haze? Oh.....and, wouldn't it be something if Ontario ends up with a Horvath-Wynne coalition? That'll be the icing on the cake - if not the final nail to the coffin.
  21. When Trump invoked National Security in slapping tarriffs - he wasn't doing it to US allies and friends. He was doing it to liberals/socialists leaders - RELUCTANT, BITCHY, FORCED ALLIES that they are - that are currently sitting in power. Trudeau (Canada), isn't a friend of the USA (Trump). Friends don't stab you in speeches......and friends don't treat you like you're stupid that you don't know what's going on. We're all paying for Mr Big Mouth. I've said it before......somebody ought to put a zip on it!
  22. He may not think much of Canada (after all, his priority is the USA).....but he sure thinks somewhat about Trudeau, I bet. How can he not when Trudeau seems to be trying his best to get to Trump's sore side? I've said it before.....Trudeau's drive-by comment against Trump during the US election (and Trudeau's publicized buddy-buddy relationship with Obama), is going to cost Canada. Someone should babysit Trudeau. His recent bitchy stunt in giving a speech to graduating students in the USA - with his "diversity" speech, which is a stark poke at Trump's policy - at a crucial time of having the NAFTA negotiations - was not only so catty. It's downright stupid! His ministers and liberal media got all ga-ga over how Trump lavished praises on Trudeau, and him saying "I like that guy." Now we know how much Trump likes Trudeau. Trudeau's woes it seems, mostly generate from Trump - immigration and economy. Why, they were all spinning like tops in a flurry of negotiations just a few days ago, and they were optimistic. They must've been given something to be optimistic about. That Trudeau wanted to personally meet with Trump. Who gave Trudeau the bad news? Pence. Trudeau has been played.
  23. I know......I know what I've said about polls..... .....but this is still exciting, nevertheless.
