Conservatives at their core want life to not change or stay the same. Well, in most cases, the past involves a higher number of whites. Browns or non-whites moving into their area is going to disrupt that. Even when it is inevitable. With better technology and more mobility.. folks are going to move to areas that were once sparsely populated such as Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Montana, or New Mexico. Growing up in Boise, Idaho.. Blacks and Asians were fairly rare. Hispanics were found in the farm country to the west of town. So the whites were the "default" choice because of numbers and for reasons that you give. There was no reason to change.. the consequences for hiring a less qualified but white candidate were nonexistent.

Never heard of him/her. I live in the US specifically Nevada. I have met maybe one or two conservatives that are not closet racists. One example is where they do not care about sports and will say that. Yet, Nikola Jokic (white NBA player) wins the MVP award.. now they think it is cool that a white player wins an award given mostly to black players in the past.. if race did not matter, why are they suddenly interested?

14 years of online forums leave one a bit jaded and untrusting. Folks who say the right thing at first.. turn out to be closet racists when they relax. My guess is that if I had hired one of the lesser candidates.. you would be praising me for being some soldier of righteousness. A lot of your types (Taxme and I am Groot being the best examples) view this as a sad day for whites... Why does it have to be a zero sum game? That being said.. one of the white candidates came to the interview (on Zoom) in pajamas with his incredibly messy house in the background.

Good question. I do not know the answer. Folks tried to lie in the past and say that they were hiring based on merit when it was quite clear that they were not. Whites are not exactly being discriminated against in the same overt fashion as blacks in the US were prior to the civil rights act. They are simply not the default choice and so are not selected quite as often. I recently hired a guy from Honduras. We had 12 applicants, 7 of them were white. But none of them had nearly the credentials of the Honduran. Phd in mathematics, BS in Mining Engineering, published author, and during the interview was able to verbally tell us the computer code needed for a task... But according to you, i should have pushed him to the back of the list because he was not white. Oh... and I hired him because of some diversity quota.

I hope that I am never so bored as to watch Tucker Carlsen. If I am ever that desperate.. the end might be near. -
the real lie of the GOP

Both parties contend that their policies are designed to minimize this gap. However, fiscal policy does not really affect this or not in the long term. Wealth inequality (no matter how you measure it) is a long term effect dependent on larger more general variables than a spending bill or such. -
Taylor Swift Derangement Syndrome

It makes sense if you are going to have your qb stay in the pocket and throw mostly to the sidelines. However, the groundwork has been laid for QB's that move around and can play off script. Also, the new rules have made throwing over the middle more possible. In the past, no one threw the slant pattern over the middle because the strong safety (Ronnie Lott and Darren Woodson) would ring your bell. With the leading with the helmet tackle now banned.. the safety is more of a defensive back than enforcer. -
Trump has 0 chance of winning certain Blue states; CA, NM, CO, OR, WA, IL, MA, MD, MN, CT, RI, NV and VT Trump has about a 50% chance of winning GA, PA, WI, MI, OH, and AZ.. those are key states. He narrowly lost in some of these. What makes someone think that a narrow win in 2016 followed by a narrow loss in 2020 can't turn into a narrow win in 2024.

This year's Grammy's were Ok. Joni Mitchell, Billy Joel, and Annie Lennox were good. I have lost interest over the years due to my not being into modern day pop/hip hop. Being a pure rock fan, the groups that I like are rarely mentioned or perform.

Social Media in the MeToo/GenZ era

We know that they do less face to face purchase.. Online shopping purchases have increased. The younger generation is more likely to use that route for purchases than others. They show their reticence for physical purchases with their online purchases, social media interactions, and the number of outlets that they create (blogs, podcasts, instagram, tiktok) as opposed to the far more limited offerings in 1989 for example. -

We know that they are exposed to vastly more information than the non-internet generations before them. That can't be denied unless you have never left your house.
