Yeah, when Trudeau was around. you're probably right Funny story, he already came back. He's back to polling what he was when Trudeau was around and during the election. He solidly into the 40s. The problem for Carney is that before he could run on hype but now he'll have to run on track record and his track record so far is pretty dismal. Also the number of Canadians saying the country in the world is going in the wrong direction has exceeded 50 percent by a fair bit, which is very bad news for carney. And the popularity of Carney and his government is steadily and consistently edging downward. Once the NDP gets a new leader, they'll start to pick up steam a little bit again. They'll get a few more donations and get their debt under control and be in a much better position to fight an election where they really are only going to target probably 20 new writings hoping to walk away with 10 of them to add to their current seven to obtain party status. But they will do a lot better in a lot of other writings which will suddenly cause the liberals to face a split vote where the conservatives could very easily win. And that could happen as soon as late spring So it's entirely possible that Poilievre will still be prime minister and will be one of the better ones we've had. If anything it seems like carney is going to leave as big a mess as Trudeau did which will give Poilievre the chance to look like a hero with very little effort

LOL well... i felt i still had you beat during the piddle and paddle but it's just really hard to argue with your faddle, so ... It's not about being sticklers, it's that your language and writing were very obviously emotionally charged and emotionally based. And nobody is saying that somehow that makes you a bad person or that you have no good points or the like but it does mean that most of what you said wasn't a calm cool factual statement as you portrayed. Most of them were hyperbole filled opinions and obviously you have strong feelings towards trump as a person as well as a leader. Which is fine but let's not pretend otherwise No, not without verification. And I don't. As I said he doesn't lie all the time but he does lie. Having said that I can't think of an American president Since Reagan that I couldn't say that about. So yeah trump lies. Biden light all the time. "If you take the vaccine you don't have to wear a mask and you can go out because you can't get sick". "Trump said there would be a bloodbath in the streets" I mean just on the trump issue alone we started making memes about how they twisted what he said into a lie on a daily basis. So don't trust politicians. Or if you do then follow the trust but verify program.

Pedo said his friend was also a pedo
CdnFox replied to TreeBeard's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
True. When I was growing up the age of consent was 14. Prior to that in Canada it was 12. BUT even then it was considered unlawful if a person was in a position of authoirty over someone. Such as a teacher couldn't sleep with a student even if they were of age, or a psychiatrist etc etc. and if you were someone's employer it was seriously walking a line that could go either way. well the thing is they often started out as employees. This is why trump was angry at epstein for "poaching", they were staff working at mar a lago and epsiten would convince them to quit and go to work for him. Then the managers would complain to trump that epstien 'poached' the staff. It's alleged that after that epstein and ghislaine would pressure and groom the girls to be as you say, and if that's the case then under the law they exerted undo influence on someone they had a position of trust and authority over and even tho their ages wouldn't be a crime in Canada in most cases it would probably still be considered statutory. And of course it's also alleged that they took money or benefits from other people in exchange for 'providing' the girls to them, which would be 'trafficking'. But those charges would not be a 'slam dunk'. And prosecutors stated they were a little nervous pressing charges especially the first time because this could be a challenge to prove. They had more evidence the second time but of course he never went to trial. Media? Blowing things out of proportion? OUR media? Our beloved 5th estate , that bastion of fair and even reporting and unbias commentary?!?!!? The HELL you say!!!!! Yeah well, whatever the truth is it's very clear that the story has long since taken on a life of its own and run amok. There is some possible evidence which promotes the idea that at least one businessman was being blackmailed. And that's absolutely horrible if true. And my gut is that there was sexual misconduct of some species or another. Girls may have been pressured inappropriately we're taking advantage of. But that's not the same as pedophilia, which is what every single person in the world out there claims he is guilty of. Pedophilia involves prepubescent children. This sounds at worst to be a case of possible statutory rape based on being in a position of authority of somebody who was of young age or underage based on the law of the land where it occurred, and possibly trafficking which is basically pimping but the girl doesn't get paid. Very serious stuff but not what the media accuses him of -
If it's from a compromised source you should have no trouble refuting it. But I know that you can't. Instead you take the usual "why are we even reading this" approach. Tsk Tsk

Kid. Everyone is laughing at you. A handful are laughing and also feeling pity towards you, but most are just laughing at you You seem to realize that. I understand that it upsets you. But as a rule if 1000 people think you're nuts, and you think you're sane, it's probably not them, it's you. Yet another thing you'll probably learn as you get older and get out of your teens I remember you agreeing at the time that Poilievre would be the next prime minister. And he may yet still be the best prime minister we've ever had. Carney's success hinges on the NDP never making a comeback and I would not want to bet on that

New Submarines: Carney vs Poilievre
CdnFox replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
LOL well this argument was made hardcore iaround ww2 as well. And i do enjoy it, and there's some possible validity to it as well that the bible, especially those parts that address future events, will only make true sense in the time to come which they refer to. But my problem with that again is that people tend to "interpret" it in such a way so as to fit it into their circumstances or narrative of the time. Honestly, i had this conversation with my dad when i was a kid and he pointed out then how many passages seemed to refer to things tha were happening in that day and age, how 'spears of fire' that could destroy mankind might well refer to icbm's and how would the writers have known and such. There was a HUGE following in ww2 that felt the rise of germany and the wars were practically identical to what the bible and thus the end was neigh. Who knows, it might very well be when those days come and the end is here we might look at the passages and look at the world and say "ahhhhhh i get it now, it's perfect' but it won't be the first time people have thought that. Which doesn't make it any less valid if it's true at the time. I mean if god's entire intent was clarity you'd think he'd say "June 5 20xx at 4:35 pm". So obviously he doesn't want us to figure it out TOO easily But no matter what because the bible is written in human language and because human words often have multiple meanings or connotations, it's not really possible to take the bible TOO literally one way or another. but yeah, I love the idea but at the end of days will be able to read the bible and look back and it'll be like the the last episode of lost where it's like okay, it all makes sense now -
New Submarines: Carney vs Poilievre
CdnFox replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Nope? So you won't even take your own advice, that sounds about right And sorry the conspiracy crap is yours. And you are more than stupid and emotional enough when it comes to this subject to sit down to any level necessary apparently Kid I'm sick and tired of listening to your same lies The bible is not incompatible with science. The bible cannot be taken verbatim. As an example when it says the Universe was created in six days it doesn't necessarily mean 6 24-hour periods That is the truth and you have spent tons and tons of space here trying to argue against it but I'm sorry it hurts your feelings, the bible cannot be taken absolutely verbatim You need to learn to cope. And you don't understand the basics. Your faith Appears to be based on a sham. If you feel you need the bible to be absolutely verbatim in order to justify your faith and your faith is not based on reality -
New Submarines: Carney vs Poilievre
CdnFox replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Good advice you shoud try it. It is exactly what I said And I've pointed out your conspiracy nonsense already. It's like you've gone full leftist ****** for some reason. And in the next breath you claim you're trying to call me out for my conspiracy nonsense, that's proving you are the one that is claiming there's a conspiracy Not a single comment I've made has been wrong. At this point you're just being a liar. You say I didn't explain what I meant when I say the bible can't be taken verbatim yet for four times I've said here's an example and you ignore that as if I've never said anything You're too emotional and too stupid for this conversation kid. It's really disappointing to see. All of this is faked up in your head The bible cannot be taken verbatim, have given a number of examples. Most words have more than one possible meeting and you cannot insist that there is one meaning to the word as you do And sorry but most people out there agree with me. I gave the classic example of the world being created in 6 days, and you still haven't been able to refute that. All you do is repeat over and over again baseless accusations with no evidence or no supporting logic as if repeating a lie often enough will somehow make it true. You're an embarrassment to Christianity. -

Nazi Democrat Party Member Wants to Criminalize the Truth
CdnFox replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You think they're satisfied, you think they don't want government money anymore, you think that story is done? Sorry but no. If you ask any of them whether or not reconciliation is complete and they are reconciled with the Canadian government or the people of Canada they're going to say not even close I assume you're referring to your reply. Because it absolutely is. Mine was a simple statement of truth. You will not have to look very hard to find talk about how everything is the:Ial's fault and that we're all settlers and they use those terms in the most derogatory, if possible, expressions. And if you've never been called whitey before you've never lived in British Columbia It's not hard in the slightest. And I know where they're going now. And unfortunately it's the first nations that make it all about me and people like me. That's the whole point of reconciliation isn't it. I need to do something to make their life better because they're unable to do it on their own. Canada needs to give them something and solve all their problems because they can't on their own. I mean that's the whole point. I'd be entirely thrilled if they didn't involve me in it and I would wish them the best, but they insist that I am somehow involved So if you don't think it should be all about me you have to speak to them. Because they are insisting it is. -
Many women dislike Trump & Poilievre: Why?
CdnFox replied to August1991's topic in Sex and Gender Issues
That's the most ridiculous in childish thing you could say. I offered a comparison of the circumstances not a comparison of the people. I didn't say that's Trudeau was like Hitler, I said that To Canada is similar to comparing to Hitler's impact on germany because they were both negative Which is a true statement, but you couldn't cope with that so you choose the emotionally and morally disingenuous claim that I compared Trudeau to Hitler directly. Which is of course a lie And after your dishonesty you claim I'm the one that needs mental help. Kid go look in the mirror. You couldn't refute my point and had to lie in order to make your point. You're the one that needs the lithium -
Nazi Democrat Party Member Wants to Criminalize the Truth
CdnFox replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
We don't seem to be able to heal now. When asked first nations are still saying that reconciliation may never happen or if it does it'll be hundreds of years from now. That's not reconciliation. If we're talking about real truth and reconciliation it means that both sides have to look at what they can do different and their responsibilities in the process as well. First nations are quick to blame whitey, they're very slow to look at their own role that they played both in residential schoolsin the ongoing trauma that they are not resolving. When does truth and reconciliation stop being truth and reconciliation and become guilt and exploitation? I feel like we might be getting close -

Actually always confused me a little. They knew that there was copper, they knew how to find copper but I guess they just never figured out how to turn copper into something useful. When Europeans showed up and showed them copper then you right away that they'd seen it before and where it was. That'll working tends to start with copper and it was around and it just seems odd to me that all across what would become Canada none of them ever realized what you could do with it. -

You never post any facts and 90% of your posts are you whining like a 4-year-old: Conservatives and anyone who thinks different from you weird names. It's kind of a running joke. And that's when you aren't doubling the value of your home with a credit card or the like
-
Historically that's not true. When they get hungry enough they don't give a crap anymore they just want someone to fix it and if they don't believe in the current label government's ability to fix it then they will vote for someone else. Obviously there's a core handful who simply will never ever ever vote anything other than liberal even if it means that they and their children have to die. But a good solid hunk of the liberals and the NDP will abandon their parties if they feel that they are in Desperate Straits and the liberals have not been able to help. Well they're going to skip the country with their pockets full of cash, that's for certain. Trudeau did. But so far liberals have not blamed poilievre for Trudeau. The only reason they voted for carney is because he was brand new and they were convinced he represented a brand new government that might be able to help them. Except I didn't lose. And it's still Lies. If you were really winning, why wouldn't the truth be good enough for you? Why do you feel you need to lie if you're actually winning? The fact is you're admitting you know that carney is not winning right now. He's sinking and it's getting worse and they will come a point when he just free falls. And that point is going to come a lot sooner than it did with Trudeau
-
Passing it and supporting it or not the same thing. It is possible to say I do not support this budget but I do not believe this is a good time to go to an election so we're going to allow it to live without voting for it If you support a budget you vote for it. If you're voting against it or 99% of your people are then you're not in favor of the boat budget

New Submarines: Carney vs Poilievre
CdnFox replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I see a reading comprehension skills are still at a grade 10 level. Just two more years to the graduate little guy!!! Perhaps by then your ability to debate people will be capable of more than simply taking what they said and pretending they said something else LOLOL !!! -
They haven't done anything. So it's not your opinion it's your delusion. So far they haven't achieved a single thing that they said they were going to. They haven't even moved closer. They said they'd have a deal with the United States by July, we're almost at the end of the year and not only do we not have a deal but talks are stalled and there are more new tariffs We have no new projects. We're not building the projects we had any faster. And industry is basically said they don't want anything to do with building in Canada during the current regulatory environment We have more interprovincial trade barriers, not less. New inter provincial trade tariffs have been applied The first nations is up in arms and doesn't want to work with the government. We have no new trade deals to speak up despite him getting around to dozens of different countries supposedly on trade missions The guy has done nothing. That's not open to opinion, it's just fact
-
Yeah, my days of not taking him seriously are certainly coming to a middle

It was very short, but it is supposed by the system that people will take that into account when they vote and that could work for him or against him. But if they had made that assessment and made that decision only a few months earlier and we're being asked to make it again it's unlikely they would change their mind. And I don't think carney can eat a live baby. At the very beginning nobody would have believed it if he did eat a live baby, they would have said it was fake news and voted anyway. They were very easily manipulated that way. But people felt that way about Trudeau, and he went from a majority to a minority, to a minority again to being run out of office because he was so unpopular the liberal party might have been wiped out. It takes time but even the liberals have to admit it when the country starts to burn. I don't know they're going to wait that long with carney. Right now as we speak today men and women are going to the supermarket and realizing they're having a tough time feeding their family. They're looking at for sale signs on homes and realizing they'll never be able to afford one. They're turning in their 100th resume for jobs and not getting a call back. Liberals will let the liberals get away with anything, right up till they're starving. And then they get serious
-
It's already being said on the talk show circuit that the vote wasn't a vote of support for the budget, it was a vote in favor of not going to an election that Canadians didn't want It may not be commonly known but 6 months is kind of a magic number when it comes to parliament. It is held in most commonwealth countries that within about 6 months of the last election it is unreasonable to believe that the public would have had time to review and change their mind from the position they took in the last election and that elections should be avoided strenuously during that length of time. We're right on the edge of that, canadians definitely don't want an election, and the parties aren't ready to fight an election which means they're not going to be able to present a reasonable honest series of options to Canadians to choose from. It kind of sucks. But if carney had introduced his budget when he was supposed to nobody would have been willing to go to an election then either. So he gets one for free. But you can bet all of the parties will be gunning for him in the next one. This time he pretended he was trump and it was his way or the highway but next time if he tries that he's going to get slaughtered
-
The natives were never defeated. We didn't go to war with them except for the Riel Revolution which really isn't quite the same thing The first nations signed treaties, they accepted the people onto their lands and what is often forgotten is they demanded the education that they are now complaining about. It's fair to argue that they were a very immature society and didn't realize what they were getting into but it doesn't change the fact that all of this happened with their cooperation and in many cases at their demand It's a shame we didn't conquer them violently back in the day. It would have ended all of this discussion
