  1. I can always tell when I've upset you so bad that you're becoming emotional. Your English always suddenly goes to shit for no readily explained reason I accept your admission of defeat and acknowledge your emotional trauma LOL
  2. IF one of us is confused, the other is terrible at communicating LOL In any case looks like we're in agreement there then.
  3. Trudeau set himself up for life too, and now all trudeau's flunkies are getting payouts. Freeland got an 'embassadorship' that never existed before for hundreds of thousands a year and she gets to do it while at the same time doing a job she got based on her political connections for hundreds of thosuands a year. She'll barely be working and making close to 2 million in pay and bennies. The liberals have basically turned the government into a massive get rich retirement scheme where they serve for a number of years and then leave to reel in millions per year or even hundreds of millions per year from organizations they gave money to while in power and for access to their contacts they made. Which is why Carnie flies all over the world meeting with leaders Yes yes, you admit defeat and you're crying again, i know. Honestly we all know, it's just expected now
  4. No, YOU said the victims were dead. Not me. again, that was you.
  5. Yes kiddo we know, you admit defeat. we get it. You're projecting kiddo. YOU'RE the one who keeps bringing him up and talking about him non stop. Honestly it's been pretty obvious to most of us you've got a pretty big crush on the guy, you little tsundere you
  6. That quote was not in the quote you quoted. Did you get confused or something? I'm not sure what you're asking. In the reply you DIDN"T quote where i mentioned that i mentioned it because it was a relevant example. Please remember, i can't read your mind. If you don't clearly articulate your point and leave me trying to guess what you're talking about or what you're asking then you're not going to get a relevant answer.
  7. Sure, i don't blindly support anyone. I don't pretend the leader of a party i support is perfect just because i support that party. I'm not a liberal for heaven's sake He may be the best choice but that doesn't make him perfect. Yes yes, i accept your admission of defeat little guy LOLOLOL
  8. WHY ARE WE EVEN TALKING ABOUT THIS?!?!?!!? Don't be such a loser mike
  9. Well you'll find all kinds of interesting stuff there, but let me give you a little context to start you on your journey. Federal governments have noted that this was a problem for quite a while now. But basically what happens is each province is responsible for the sale of goods inside the province. That's a provincial issue. So the provinces have a habit of restricting other provinces products to make sure that their provinces products Are purchased first. They will also frequently ban the direct sale of products between provinces and if they do allow it they tariff it. A quick example - alberta has never allowed bc wineries to sell wine directly to albertans online. You had to sell it to an alberta liquor distributor who would then resell it. This is because alberta makes good money on taxes from the sale of booze and wants to keep their booze sellers in business. Recently they DID allow it in limited amounts, but they then substantially increased the interprovincial tariff so that it would be just as cheap to go buy it locally. All the provinces do this to one degree or another. It is very often cheaper to buy goods from the states, sometimes even the SAME goods where a province sells it to a us distributer who sells it back to another province cheaper that it would have been to buy direct from that province. The same problem happens with Certifications and Trades. Each province has it's own certification process. A registered nurse who trained in alberta did not do the same courses as one in BC. THe certifications are very different. So in MANY trades if you're "licensed" in one province you're NOT licensed in another and can't be till you take some species of 'upgrade' course or the like. That can seriously limit the ability of some companies to do business in multiple provinces easily. There are MANY such areas and they are all protected by some little beurocracy that wants to defend it's balliwack and is entirely resistant to any outside org trying to take it away. They defend their little 'kingdoms' to the death, and the provinces want the revenues. If all the trade barriers and mobility barriers were gone the province's industries would make so much more money that their revenues would be fine but that takes a leap of faith and most provinces and the ministries involved do not want to take that risk.
  10. Would you have said that if Stephen Harper? He lost his first election worse and suffered even more floor crossing. If we get rid of him the liberals stay in power for a minimum 3 years probably four. If we keep him there's a good chance we get it another kick at the can in two or less. He got more votes than any conservative leader going back to Mulroney. And yeah, a large percentage of the people that signed up for him did so thinking they were going to be in government and not in opposition so some of them are unhappy. Not much you can do about that. I'm not happy with him for other reasons but at the end of the day he's hired a new campaign guy and that guy has a lot of positive track record and a lot of wins under his belt. Carney cannot hold the left-wing coalition together that he built under trump forever. We'll have to see how he can pull it together. He knows his next shot is his last shot, come home with your shield or on it.
  11. Yeah. There was really no practical chance it wasn't going to pass. Too soon. But.... that won't be true in the spring. And any thread with Ex flyer or robosmith in it is going to degrade to playground spat levels
  12. I can point to where it hurt YOU, that's for sure Your charts prove i was right and you were wrong And humans all age at the same rate. That's how time works. India has a MUCH younger population so if age is your issue then you lose Oooooo sorry sparkles, you're wrong again!! You've got to learn to do some of your own thinking and research and not rely on the pamphlets your echo chamber produces Your chart shows that on average the indian person spends about 4/5ths of what the american one does as an adult, which is comparable. The us has a slight edge but not much - you have to remember the cost of living india is also less so they don't need to spend as much. So right off the bat you're wrong, they're comparable. However... you missed the big difference When we're talking about consumer markets... the us has just under 400 million consumers or potential consumers. India has 1.4 BILLION. A billion more than the us. The market is VAAAASTLY more powerful than the us market. So you were wrong about the us being the youngest, and you're wrong about the consumer base having more disposable income. India hasn't fully harnessed its consumer power yet... but it's growing closer and has vastly more potential Kid, you should have some idea of my skills and knowoedge by this point. I 'cheat' by avoiding fights where i'm not knowledgeable and i do my research. So if you're debating with me, you need to step up your game. If you bring this kind of cheezy assed stuff to the table and don't know your facts well i'm going to eat you alive every single time. You're not dumb, you can do better, don't be so lazy and try harder next time. This was you sluffing off instead of being on the ball
  13. All of which would prove useless from a legal point of view if the gov't wants to push it through. Probably wouldn't even slow it down much. BUT... it would hurt them politically quite a bit. And that's why Carney is jerking Smith's chain along. He's making it sound like he's totally backing her pipeline bid to win support from albertians and those on the center center-right, while at the same time poisoning the well so the project will likely never happen to keep the enviro freaks in his caucus and amongst his supporters happy. He's said "sure, pipeline! But we can't step on provincial wishes either, you wouldn't want the feds to tell the provinces what to do would you, ms 'alberta hates being trampled by the feds', right? So go work it out with eby and the first nations and THEN we'll proceed! (there'll be a few other hurdles in there too just in case she somehow nails that one), And of course he announced the 'veto' just before she's supposed to appear with him (tomorrow) to say how great he and this deal is for alberta Snicker! Too late for her to back out, so she'll have a tough time saying he should push it through when she signed the deal knowing he felt that way Carney is many things but you have to hand it to him or his handlers, he put this little trap together very well. There isn't going to be a pipeline any time soon, but he's neutered her ability to complain about it for a while.
  14. No it isn't. Absolutely not true. Saudi Arabia for example has a lower age population than the us and lots of money, India and Mexico are both lower than the US. South Africa has the youngest G20 population The US isn't even close Simply not true. In fact elderly populations result in more consumerism the younger populations. The elderly have more money and they have more needs. They need more care, they want the best services, etc etc Your entire premise is completely false from beginning to end United states has been a major market because they were the easiest to deal with. Now that they're not easy to deal with other markets will open up and start taking more of the share that the US used to get. The US will soon be in decline. People will look to other countries to do business and they will find them and less and less importance will be put on the US who will then have less and less money and less and less influence.
  15. Yeah, quebec isn't actually between alberta and bc, but sure. Legally its quite easy. Pollitically the libs would never get elected again. Agreed, I think that honestly going to Hudson's bay or the east coast would make more sense But as i've said i think alberta tried to play a game and got played. They took the 'easy' pipeline to the bc coast, a lot of the preliminary work showing it's feasabile has been done, and demanded a pipeline. I think Smith thought the libs would not deliver and she could say she was SOOOO stabbed in the back because carney had promised But carney outplayed her and said "no problem!!!" And then he pulled the "as long as bc agrees". NOw if it doesn't happen it's not HIS fault And he'll have put in a bunch of other things about 'carbon capture' and the like and when she says "well you could FORCE bc" he can say "well you don't want ottawa forcing provinces to do stuff you don't like do you? i mean... what if i did that to you? Anyway, solve all the other problems on my list and then we can worry about it" but the problems can't be sovled without a real proponent and she won't get one till he promises the pipeline will go through which he won't as long as bc is saying no You have no idea what the notwithstanding clause is do you. LIke, none. Sigh. It hurts to watch you be that dumb. No, no the notwithstanding clause will not be a part of it. Groan Why? Nope. THey bought what they could, legislated the rest. They have that authority Yeah, that's about the level of reader i was shooting for but i was a little worried it might be over your head
  16. No they're not. 35 years ago! A little late to be just reacting to that just now The last world war was almost a hundred years ago. It has no bearing on policy today. Subsequent to that time America severely benefited from and grew as a response to free trade with other nations. The trade deal with Canada made America a lot of money he gave him access to a lot of resources they desperately needed. This is why Reagan thought it was a good idea Nothing has changed since then substantially that would indicate that a complete reversal of policy was justified. We will see how it plays out over the long term but honestly I think if anything it'll ****** growth and force people to move away from America and that's not what America would normally have wanted. England did something similar after world war II and again when they decided to leave the European Union and it's not going geniusly for them
  17. So you're saying you're still confused? It's hard to explain it much slower than that. Did you want me to get your hearing aid old man? I'm sorry but no, it does not "of course" The jurisdiction is federal, the BC government has no say under the law. For practical reasons federal governments may choose to take their feelings into account but they don't have to. We saw this easy enough under the trans mountain pipeline. And the law says the first nations must be consulted but it doesn't say they get a veto either Once again I'm stuck explaining our systems to you. Here, have another pudding I know this is confusing for you but there's no contradiction here. Under the law that provinces absolutely have no veto power to stop Pipelines. None. Carney however Has chosen to essentially grant them one saying that if a province does not want a project he will not enforce the federal powers upon it. So while they may not have one under the law they have one impractical terms provided carney keeps his word. I will probably have to get the crayons out to explain it more simply than that, were you able to follow that at all? They're not withstanding clause applies to the federal government and the provincial government but not the first nations. I'm afraid you're deeply confused. And Carney has said he will not proceed with the project if the first nations don't agree so in this case they do have an effective veto provided carney keeps his word Oh dear, you seem to be speaking to your mirror again. Come sit down, it's almost time for Matlock LOLOLOL
  18. I think the jury of people who don't like trump is in. Perhaps not surprisingly the people who do like trump have come to a different verdict Biden wasn't actually considered hard left at all, in fact he was basically elected to be the neutral quiet guy who didn't do anything. Some people called it the potted plant campaign, "I will sit in the corner and do nothing of any particularly contentious nature". Which, after 4 years of trump, is largely what the public was looking for. The problem is a lot of the people in his party were very strongly radically left, and as we now know Biden was already beginning to struggle with mental Clarity issues and was being driven by background forces as well as some of the more vocal people in the party. So I think he did what he was told and the people who told him things were in some part more radically left. And you can't compare Biden as president with Quebec separatists. Those are two radically different political environments that have almost nothing to do with each other and defy a direct comparison
  19. American isolationism of pastime, to be honest with you the last time it was policy was just before world war II. And that didn't work out so well. America has always inserted itself on the world stage and demanded to be a primary player. Isolationism hasn't been a policy for almost 80 years now
  20. I don't know that I watched that video. I heard something in the news that trump was accusing some military people who refused orders saying they were being treasonous or something silly but I didn't pay close attention to it.
  21. You're the only one playing a game kiddo And all you've done is beg me to give you permission to stop. You said that you can't stop unless I let you. I have told you a million times I'm not responsible for you and you don't need my permission to choose how to act Yes, I keep telling you we know we can see you
  22. LOL says the guy who only comes here to attack me at random
  23. I know like i said we see you. God you're like an obsessed kid who desperately wants his parents to watch what they're doing. "LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME CAN YOU SEE ME DADDY?!?!" Yes, yes, we see you, you're doing great, yay , It's like you can't go 5 minutes without us patting you on the head and telling you you're a good boy. Yes, i accept your admission of defeat.
  24. It is exactly what you would call fiscal responsibility, you've supported the liberals for years now Absolutely nobody who supported the liberals or the NDP in the last 5 years has any right to claim any positive feelings towards fiscal responsibility at all
  25. We know. We can see you I accept your admission of defeat
