It absolutely does and pulling and discussions with the younger people make that crystal clear Not even close. Abortion is pretty much put to bed but made in transgender rights are front and center and have played a role in the last few provincial elections as well. New provincial laws are coming into place and even Poilievre has commented on the need to secure the rights of parents. As we speak cases will be going before the supreme court to address whether or not towns and municipalities must be forced to participate in pride events. I'm sure in your mind is settled. But frankly the kind of rhetoric and personal attacks on the rights of others from yourself and people like you Keep the issue alive and well for many Canadians. It was only a year ago we had hundreds of thousands of people marching in children stomping on gay flags in the street. But it's even more than that. People are sick of spending hundreds of millions of dollars to fund diversity programs in other countries. They are sick to death of gun buybacks that do nothing but increase the number of homicides by gun and cost insane amounts of money. They are fed up with supporting left-wing propaganda media sites with tax dollars. And they are fed up with the insane borrowing That is going to leave them broke and serviceless in the future and they realize that the woke ideology of eating the rich has turned out to be an unmitigated disaster as the rich are fleeing and our tax base goes down Economics plays a huge role. But at the end of the day all things are economics. Borrowing money against our children's future to fund diversity programs in Africa is still an economic issue because it will be those children that will have to pay either for a higher taxes or reduced services. Bringing in unreasonable amounts of immigrants and insane amounts of refugees is a woke ideology but it has an economic impact. All woke ideology winds up having an economic impact. So if you're worried about the economic impact then you have to be worried about the woke. And don't even get me started on the carbon tax. And so on and so on People are waking up if you'll pardon the pun to the realization that having the government focus on anything other than his core responsibilities most of which are economic and ignoring the woke nonsense that governments have been participating in is the only way that they can have financial prosperity.

Well I tend to disagree that it's a whim, given the lack of respect shown here in this very thread as well as everywhere else on the internet for people who aren't transgender by the transgender it is pretty easy to see why many would dismiss them as being trite concerns from ignorant people who are cosplaying. As the saying goes, acts like a clown be treated like a clown. Sure it is. There is a massive history of it. From the snake oil peddlers to the religious zealots who used their faith to condone all manner of atrocities in the name of god and the salvation of the souls of others and so on. Even to this day there is a crap ton of money to be made from poverty. The clintons make several million a year thanks to their charities. You're the same person and you've got that backwards. He's a disgusting leech on society attempting to pass off his incredible hypocrisy in virtue signaling as caring. We are all diminished for having had listened to him in the first place. That's more of a negative comment about you than me. And I'm still pretty sure you're the same people. Some of the writing similarities between you and the phoenix and that twit are a little hard to dismiss, although you do it less so I'm less 100% sure that I am about the other two accounts one of your telltale giveaways that you know you're in the wrong is you begin quoting other people. I see that today is no exception Ahaha! Ha! haaa. (so much clever!) Yeah, if that's the best you can come up with, say hi to your 3rd grade teacher from me when you go back to school

MAGA civil war starting?
CdnFox replied to BeaverFever's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
His ego. He wants to be seen as being a benevolent leader and for people to say they prospered under him. LOL surely not indeed Public opinion has always been important to him, even back to his performer days. Doesn't make him a nice guy or anything, just means he wants them to be happy with him. And he doesn't pander to the people of the minute as much as the dems. If he thinks someone's a tard today he thinks they're a tard tomorrow, and likewise if he respects them today generally he respects them tomorrow. Compare him to the dems who are literally all about how horribly repressed the latinos are (sorry, latinx) and how their plight is critical and how we should be understanding about those who came across the border without documentation etc etc.... right up till they didn't vote for the dems. Then their men were misogynistic bigoted racist haters and their women were weak and controlled. Trump's got them beat, he calls the illegals scum before the latinos voted for him and he calls them the same after. Remember, this was a comparison of trump to the dems, not just whether or not trump was a deeply caring person overall. -
That's about half true, because Biden can't even wipe his own arse anymore. It's mostly false though, because the DNC runs the judicial system and the FBI like their own personal attack dogs. That's right! Biden does not even decide when he has a bowel movement any more so from that perspective Robodope is correct. Ha! He got you on the technicality

If you mean they're likely to take cyanide after seeing that, quite possibly Joking aside, Mike mentioned the 55 percent approval rating, but failed to mention she was at 75 percent when she took office just over a year ago. Even with her the shine is wearing off of the left of center agenda. She won no friends with her anti sematic stances and people aren't excited about higher taxes and such. As her term continues and we see less results for more taxes i suspect it'll continue to drop. But that's a massive drop in the first year, like REALLY huge. Mike wants to present that as somehow positive but a 20 point drop in a year is bad news for a politician.

There's nothing we sell them that they can't acquire somewhere else, whereas there's nowhere else we can sell all the stuff we sell to them. It's not entirely one-sided but it's very lopsided. The simple fact is the world is not full of customers for us. There's a very limited number of countries that want to buy our goods. Sure, the more the better. Even if we can't eliminate our dependency on the US market it would be nice to significantly reduce it to put ourselves in a better position. And no joke intended but Canadians have been saying that for decades. But there simply isn't anyone. Harper made some inroads and expanded trade with other nations a HUGE amount compared to what it was, and it still barely scratched our trade with the US and Trudeau has weakened even those deals. Lets look at our top 6 trade partners. Everyone else is lower than this: So whom do we increase trade with to get rid of our dependency with the us? China? Man, if you think being beholden to the US is bad.... The UK isn't going to be buying much more, and Mexico is already under the thumb of the us themselves. We're not picking up a lot more of that market. Even if we doubled trade with everyone else on the list we'd still be horribly dependent on the us. So that's not changing any time soon. Well as we've seen there's just nobody else for us. We might see the EU reduce trade barriers within the EU and UK, but probably not outside that radically. All we have that they really need is oil and some food. Maybe natural gas if they're still interested. Asia means being even more dependent on china, which is outrageously bad. America has strong capitalism and wealth, healthy population base and diverse geographical and cultural needs and moderate growth combined with it's proximity to us that means literally no shipping to get to them for us, there simply isn't another customer like that for us in this world at this time. We can increase our trade with others and should, we can grow our population over time so that we are our own self contained market and should, but none of that will end our absolute dependency on the US market in our lifetime.

Very true. And in fact they often co-opt words for that very reason. They're determining criteria is whether or not the word is considered scary already in society. In Canada there was an effort to assimilate first nation cultures and people into western culture back in the day. A report was done on it, but assimilate just isn't that scary a word. Nobody gets mad over attempted assimilation. Hell we still assimilate people today and they are just fine. So the authors conjured the term cultural genocide. Genocide is very scary. We've already determined the genocides are bad, and as long as you say the cultural part quickly and quietly and emphasize the genocide it sounds like something absolutely horrible happened. Of course, there is absolutely no such thing as cultural genocide and it doesn't even make sense. That's why they call math racist. That's why anybody who questions the vaccine is a bigot and that really doesn't make sense. That's why the left has a basket of deplorables to shove people into If you don't think that the problem you're trying to highlight is dramatic enough, co-opt dramatic sounding language and twist the definition to make it fit. It is the way of the left

We've seen all your posts kid You are 100% in the wrong here. You are dishonest and a complete hypocrite.

Another Monster Attacks a School
CdnFox replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
You don't even have the slightest clue about guns. We already know that. Are you honestly suggesting that somehow it's fine to be shot with a pistol but not an AR? They are fast bullets but they're 22 caliber. I guarantee you're more likely to die if I shoot you at close range with a 44 Mag. Doesn't really matter which one is better at 300 yards considering the shootings don't take place of those ranges. If you spent half the time and energy you do trying to come up with fake reasons to hate guns on thinking of actual solutions to violence you probably have actually solved the problem by now -
In our case that would mean shutting the business down. They aren't just any customer, they buy the vast majority of what we sell. So the business owner can be mad all they like but if they want to eat and have a roof over their head they'll find a way to deal with that customer. And that's just the way it is. There's no practical future for us without us trade. 54 percent of all exports INCLUDING services is bought by that one customer. The remaining 46 percent is all the rest of the world combined. We can talk and dream of one day having access to markets large enough to mitigate that but we are no where near there now, so for now we find a way to make it work or we go hungry.

One more racism and he gets a complete set of wooden railroad ties

So you couldn't address his original point, so you chose to lie about what he said. And having done that went on to suggest HE is the one being childish. Ok then.

Awww muffin, did you getting your nose rubbed in your own stupidity make you cranky? Sexual identity is ABSOLUTELY a political issue, and the dems in the states made it a big one for their campaign. (didn't go so well, but that's beside the point). However, even when the topic itself isn't being politicized how you allocate resources to it is. For example, people can argue whether trans should use the same bathroom as their sex or should they use the bathroom of their gender, but a municipality can consider whether to solve the issue for both sides by converting sex specific bathrooms to unisex stalls.... IF that's where they think the money is best spent. Clean parks may or may not be an issue but a homeless encampment is DEFINITELY an issue. It's unsafe, unsanitary and it denies the use of public space to others, and there's liabilities. So. How do you handle it? These are real issues. But of course being a butthurt leftie you're more concerned about appearing wrong than you are about being right. Which is why this country is in such a mess in the first place.
-
Well whether we like it or not there are biggest trading partner. If a difficult customer walks into your store but they spend a ton of money with you, sometimes you have to smile and bite your tongue and find a way to make them happy. Every business person knows that. So you do what you can. That doesn't mean you just cave to their every whim or sell your goods at a loss but it does mean that you look for ways to work with them and resolve issues and keep them spending money with you.
-
You realize that suggesting that all Americans are racist would generally be considered to be a racist comment
-
Right because people don't need "development" to live, who wants all those homes and businesses cluttering up the place, amiright? Sometimes i wonder what kind of head injury you need to have to think like you do. On a municipal level there's still quite a bit of left and right. Do we waste money on 'rainbow flag bike lane painting' to make gay bikers feel more included (seriously, real thing in vancouver) or do we focus spending on core concerns to keep taxes lower. How will homeless encampments be handled? Should "Safe injection" sites be allowed? etc etc.
-
Definitely leaning right and the poles are definitely suggesting that. There's absolutely no doubt that a lot of people especially younger people are realizing that government policy is based on ideology rather than practical considerations leads to ruin. They're not only turning away from the liberals but they're also turning away from the NDP. If polievre can deliver for them and plays his cards right it could be a generation before people are fooled by the left again. The libs will have to go blue liberal to become relevant again and i'm not sure that anyone will be willing to risk even that for 2 elections for sure, probably 3.

MAGA civil war starting?
CdnFox replied to BeaverFever's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
No, that's something that you personally have in common with Hitler but that's not what's being suggested here. Nobody is suggesting that the government dictate anything to business. But it's perfectly fine to put in some guidelines and boundaries and require them to operate within it Sorry, no dictatorship for you You'll have to keep trying. -
I see you're back to your usual game of trying to change the channel. My point was I wasn't talking about your typos or my typos. And here you are talking about typos. I use voice dictation and I don't always get the time to proofread before I move on to something else so occasionally I make errors and I assume that you do too. Nobody said anything different. Which is why i said i didn't have a problem with your typos or my typos, the problem was your argument. But unfortunately you're either too stupid or too dishonest to understand that very simple concept. Not surprising. And i see you're back to spamming the board with 100's of replies rather than just doing so once per person. I'll deal with your mess here in one reply: The united states is still not the entire rest of the world which is what you tried to drag into the conversation. Nobody cares enough about you to care where you were born or where you're living now. And you were responding to my post not the original post so it's not really relevant what the original post said is it. Nice try it deflection though. Trans have their rights in Canada in the US, every bit as much as everyone else and they are certainly able to refer to themselves however they like so your attempts to pretend otherwise are a joke. And your dishonesty is factual, not derogatory. However the end of the day you have been insulting in many ways. But you think it's okay to be insulting as long as you feel the insult is acceptable. But if somebody insults you then well that's terrible. You're being insulted because you are being an insufferable and insulting twit. Do better and you'll get insulted less. But don't be insulting jerk and then complain about other people being insulting Your dismissal of people's argument as transphobic just because you cannot come up with a counter argument is both pathetic and a great example of how you like to insult people but somehow when you do it it's not an insult! Magic! And if you want to refer to the fact that nobody is buying you or complete and utter bullshit which you cannot make a rationed argument about as having reached an impasse then sure. Why not. The simple fact of the matter is you don't get to explain anything. If you want to make a statement you need to be able to defend that with logic and reason and you have utterly failed to do so. You seem to want us to agree that you are right just because you said you were right while at the same time completely ignoring the arguments that are made demonstrating that you are not right. If you can't address other people's points and simply insist that you're right and stomp your foot when others don't agree then I'm afraid you're going to have to learn to live with impasses in your life. The fault there is on you for not being able to make a good argument, not with others for not agreeing with your lack of argument. And of course I know that tranny is a word that is often thought of as derogatory. CIS is often thought of as derogatory and it's certainly used in that way. Yet for some reason you are deeply offended if somebody says tranny, but if somebody suggests that you shouldn't be using the word cis You laugh and blow them off and tell them that their opinions and feelings are not relevant. Dude. You are a dishonest person making a dishonest argument and you are a complete and utter hypocrite. That and that alone is why you are getting nowhere in your discussions with other people. Of course people who actually think are going to hold you in contempt I look down on you and your arguments. I don't know what your goal in coming here was, but if it was to severely torpedo the transgender movement and convince a bunch of people that sympathy and empathy towards the transgender community is misplaced because this is a hostile relationship and trannies will never respect your rights, then well done. Because that is indeed what you have achieved
