Note how the fascists of the forum rush to defend their Orange Overlord. Specially the ones decended from those who started their own War of Independence over the then govt sending the Army to shoot rioters. And those women surrounded by cameras wearing PRESS ID. Yeah she was an Aussie illegal drug trafficker rapist stealer of FOX news jobs.... Another few days until Donnie can swell his chest over a Kent State like killing spree and the so called upholders of the Constitution Guardsmen can plead they were only doing their job and following orders.

That's what I said. The withholding tax when it's cashed. But if your other income is enough that might nor cover the actual tax. I had to cash in my entire RRSP in the 1990s. Added to my other income it left me $40,000 short and took a decade to pay off. If I'd croaked the next year they'd have only got the witholding...

👍 Somebody GETS it. And notice how no one at all sees that the whole conversation is on exporting gas and oil. Not a bloody peep about using those Cdn resources for our own people. Zero about Irving refining Alberta oil instead of Saudi. Chop dat wood! Dig dat coal! Simply can't evolve past that mentality.

Oh FFS we're talking about forest fires and the dotards have to bring the carbon tax up as if it was relevant. Well now the revenue from it is gone, any effort made will add to the deficit, are you happy? And while on that track are you gonna claim now that climate change has nothing to do with forest fires too? You think forests can be managed without managing the wind, the sun and the rain? That's what climate is. Lack of water to fight, lack of snowmelt, hotter weather making things dryer, storms and lightning and winds to spread the fires. All at once.

Ontario needs to invest in EVs as a realistic Option.
herbie replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
"only"? The short commutes that 90% of us use our vehicles for 90% of the time? You seem to have forgot the goal is to reduce overall carbon emissions which hybrids actually do. They serve as the interim step towards ZEVs and buy time to gather resources, supply and bulk manufacturing battery and fuel cell alternatives. Hell, I'm waiting for Mazda to make a Plug In rotary LNG/Propane generator to run an electric AWD like a diesel locomotive's drive train. Efficiency at it's best. Fill & charge at home on the cheap and no range anxiety. -
There are many people so f*cking thick they believe politicians deserve as little pay as what they earn themselves. Then they bellow when they discover the independently wealthy don't represent working class values or use their position to enrich themselves further. Common sense isn't.

Gotta say again, if you can't get off your ass and go to a polling station to vote it shows you can't even make that minimal effort and don't deserve a vote at all. Keep stupid ideas like voting with a cell phone or computer to yourself it only reveals how little you care about participation in the process.

They get the standard witholding tax when it's cashed, any remainder when tax is due. If your cash and assets are gone and you are too, it's their problem. So give them away before Dec 31 and die before Apr 30 to maximize the f*ckery.

Will Trump divide "British" Columbia?
herbie replied to August1991's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Some come-from-aways read the travel brochure about High Tea at the Empress Hotel or Butchart Gardens in Victoria and conclude that is BC. Usually the same ones that thought the BC Liberals were Liberals. -
Give everything away on your deathbed and let the CRA figure out the rest themselves. Then if you owe them taxes, you're dead and they're f*cked.

And you recognized one as your son's and one as your daughter's bikes? Most likely one person in a pup tent doesn't own three bikes. Sort of like all those unhoused who bought themselves a shopping cart.

Do you understand the difference between oil and gas? One is a goopy liquid and one is a gas. No difficult and expensive cleanup. And you can't get what you want from some people by waving money in their face. Native people know the difference and have bought into many of these as they own and control some, they're thinking long term benefit nor cash right now then p1ss off. Thousands of BOATS use the inside Passage, not ships. Cruise ships, ferries, the odd lumber carrier and the rest are private boats, yachts and tugs with barges, Not even hundreds of ships. The route seaward is anything but easy. A ferry right there off Kitimat a few years ago and others over the years, it is nothing like a busy shipping route. Those are north at Prince Rupert and South at Vancouver, the main ports. Oil is already going through Juan De Fuca, risking the Fraser River salmon run, and BC's not about to put the Skeena run under threat as well. SO use some logic, corporate $$ pulled out of TMX and it took $34 billion of out tax dollars to complete and the same challenges exist for any new one no matter how much you wish it was different now just cuz some belligerent cow in Alberta demands it.
-
Perhaps you loudmouths who've never even been to northern BC should fire up Google Earth and take a look before flapping your gums. Take a look at Kitimat. It isn't like the zero islands in the way to the open ocean like those scumbags at Engridge touted o their fakes TV ads and maps. Go ahead, trace a route to the open sea. Try not to cross the Inside Passage while you're at it. Then go down the coast and note in your thick heads there are no easy routes to ship oil. There's a decent one just north of Prince Rupert, but that's rez and there are no roads. Sp WTF you gonna do? Keep on with your if wished were horses jabber?

Is Canada sustainable? Can Alberta and Quebec get along?
herbie replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
What's with this sustainable bullshit again? You think maybe because Carney's a banker he'll decide it's not a profitable enterprise he'll liquidate the country, sell it to the highest bidder? -
C'mon this is highly entertaining. Both showing what obnoxious pr*cks they are. We know Trump's in the Epstein files, that he's a sexual predator. Give us the dirt! Threatens to pull govt contracts, threatens back to leave astronauts in space. What a couple of bullheaded petty arseholes. Catfight! Catfight!

Will Trump divide "British" Columbia?
herbie replied to August1991's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
WTF are you babbling about? BTW BC is not British as it's part of Canada and Canada is not British. -
Because it crosses it's territory, uses it's water and the people there don't want it, because it entails significant risk and only marginal benefits to that province. Simple enough to understand? Use what's there before demanding like a greedy money-grubbing pig, Danielle. Besides, you can use really simple logic like Rby says. No company is offering, they all pulled out of the last one and TRUDEAU built and paid for it. Is Alberta willing to cough up $30 billion of it's own money for a pipeline and build a port too? And put up with the blockades, protests and roadblocks along with every court challenge possible? Then go for it.

Arrest/Imprison people with face tattoos
herbie replied to August1991's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
I don't think he's meaning cultural tattoos, I think he means those weird people who intentionally disfigure themselves thinking it's "cool" instead of a cry for help. Or 'devoted' gang members. -
Be prepared for $200,000 F150s. Maybe they can switch from aluminum to plastic beds that go brittle in the sunlight like lawn chairs....
