Committing to that 5% is absolutely insane. We don't have 5% of any budget to waste appeasing the fool who's going out of his way to wreck the economies of all the other nations. Tying each nation's NATO contribution strictly to a financial figure is simply an idea dreamed up by a demented bean counter. Other nations are actually under military threat and combined with the economic and threats from a supposed main allie led by an oaf that won't even commit to Article 5 and if he "likes you" or not - they have to. FFS we can do it, let's subsidize Bombardier to built our own 6th Gen Avro Arrow.

Prediction: Poilievre will never be PM

I told you guys, I voted for Mulroney. I also actively worked for the BC Liberal (the conservative party in the 1990s. Other people call me a Blue Democrat. Sometimes it's time to change the diaper. Sometimes it's not better to replace a diaper with a paper bag. -
Say what you will about Bill Gates but he passes an awful lot of his money to many just causes. Praising Nazis not one of them.

Well someone sure pointed out they got their definition of Sainthood from the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition rather than the Bible.

I'm not arguing that it should. I'm arguing that not considering it for the wrong reasons doesn't defend the status quo. Some countries already allow it. If there was no interest in the subject, it wouldn't come up every so often. Perhaps the govt should survey Grade 11+ classes to gauge the actual interest of the people being discussed. We only know that Youth wings of political parties are the ones pushing for it, not 16 and 17s in general.

Suckage! No fireworks! The Band always showed up the town's July 1st fireworks with theirs. Dog's happy about that though. They scare the shit out of him. We're trying to find a clubhouse and the Band's bought up every decent place in town. PITA town Council is letting them. Gathering $$$ for stupid unwanted projects no one needs.

My friend named his dog Dodge because it never left the yard... Had a pom named Colonel, he was the leader of the local pack. They'd circle the block hitting up everyone for pets and treats. He just geezed out and we let him pass in his own bed in his own house with his people around him. Forget the vet unless they're in pain. Cats seem to just go out and not come back when they're really old.

Will Trump divide "British" Columbia?

Good God haven't you ever road tripped? We did Vancouver - London Ont. non-stop as teens. Of course took turns driving. It was just over 1000 kms to visit the folks on the Coast and we did it dozens of times. Just me when the parents were in care. More relaxing, cheaper than dealing with airport parking, security, outrageous plane fares and car rentals when you got there. Find BC Hwy37 on a map and follow where it goes. You too will want to punch the next redneck that says "Canada is full" in the face. -
The real question is WHY don't they know about it. One reason is because it happened before the Internet and has barely been discussed online since the Internet was invented. Even on anniversary dates, it only gets covered in Canadian media. Plus, racism is/was part of the problem. Remember those jokes about how many empty seats everyone was telling at the time? People felt they were 'new' Canadians, they weren't 'real' Canadians.

You know it, I know it, but many still want it. The 5% goal is absurd, we shouldn't even try. It's Trump's Country Club and he sets the fees. Or we can recognize it is no longer and he can take his ball and go home.

He should be dumped at the next convention. Never before has a leader blown such a lead in the polls. Never before has a leader listened and stuck with such pitiful out of date and shallow advice. Nor has one gone out of his way to or inadvertently offended so many groups of people. -
No, I'm telling you that you and all your braindead cronies have absolutely no f*cking idea of what logic is or how the f*ck it works. based on a self proclaimed myth they'll vote against this lunatic's choice Base your decision on what they can't legally do? Can't get more illogical. Look at this damn forum and you'll see people with zero knowledge of how the political system works, absolutely backwards concepts of political philosophies, that can't differentiate between city, province or federal responsibilities and are insisting 16 yr olds are not qualified to vote. The overwhelming majority of 16-17s will not vote even if given the opportunity. The ones that would vote only proves their interest and determination to get involved with the process.

I just drove 10 hours to my grandkid's Grad. I drive 10 hours in another direction to see my sister. Both live in BC and I live in the very middle of the Province. I "suspect" you are correct. -
You mean what would be the chance of getting ANY insurance that would cover that drug even a few times? Just like a good old boy in the USA they're free to come up with millions of dollars out of their own pocket. Or simply deal with the approved and tested treatment method covered for free. Or even make noise like they did and see the govt back down and shell out from public pressure. Much better than having to blow off the Insurance CEO's head and become a semi-hero over it.
