  1. We all know it's the Wall St running dogs of korporate US imperialism causing all the problems, do we not? Propped up by their lapdog lackeys. No Deep State-Illuminati conspiracies needed.
  2. A lady in Prince George was threatened with arrest for going topless in her own backyard. RCMP clarified that was a mistake. Women can go topless in public and private, even if their house is next to a school. In a similar thing, Vancouver Coastal Health now has young volunteers teaching sex classes in schools. Thinking young people will pay more attention if the teacher is closer to their own age, the 35 volunteers are 17+ and teaching Grades 8+ Just think of his shit fit.... 17 year olds are teaching 12 year olds about sex - in public schools - with the govt's blessing! Better raise funds for Mr DeSantis to start a Crusade on Canada...
  3. You do realize that the people whining about productivity are the same ones saying "Give us 10 billion dollars or those cars you're making people buy will be made in Mexico" don't you?
  4. Wahhh! The single Mom on welfare next door got more than I did. Wahh!! They should cancel the whole program.
  5. If you want to believe in brand names that is. They all build shit models and good models, just like in the computer market or any other. The worst trucks I even owned or drove were in the "Quality is Job One" days. 80% of computer repairs were on the $399 "its a Dell, so it's a good computer" models. A Dodge Neon... dude those were cars you bought for your kid when they graduated model. And there's over a dozen still running in this little town. I still have a 2005 Saturn, runs great. Spent 4K in maintenance over 18 years... like $225 a year. People would laugh at the wife in her bright red Soccer Mom car until she hit the gas and blew past them, or hauled 5 people and their luggage thru the Coq at 120 without hitting every gas station. I mean stick to the EV subject, you both admit the infrastructure is being built, the range is getting much better, the raw resources are here, the assembly workers are here and the jobs are vital. If you hand over your $100K you'll probably still have to wait a year or so to even get an EV if you wanted one. Give us a valid gripe like how the makers are blackmailing the whole world. I mean shit, $20 billion to Stellantis and VW or they walk?
  6. Well you heard wrong. You should have looked it up instead of listening to what 'everyboday sez,,,'
  7. If proper Tory procedure was followed, they'd have the list of who's eligible out around now. The bulk of the money would go to trustees of bankrupt companies and welfare agencies reclaiming the benefits they paid out
  8. It's somewhat funny, and an example of how Free Speech is enhanced by the Internet. Even the clinically insane are able to post.
  9. No it is, was, and always will be a 'definition'. PRETEND it's not all you want. Racist.
  10. And if you haven't noticed, it's already striking 8 years earlier
  11. That claim is absurd. Ontario approves 3 small reactors just the other day. Meanwhile the coming Fiat 600e has a 600km range and projected $50K price. The 500 ICE is $39K... and it sells like liver flavoured ice cream
  12. I'm not racist, I just choose to ignore that they were here 13,000 years before my Grampa was. Yup. Some people will believe you.
  13. In the meantime ignore the fact your bank is still paying 0% interest on your chequing account, 1% on your savings and 2% on term deposits. Ignore your 29% credit card interest while you're at it. We all know Justin Trudeau is 100% responsible for inflation as it is happening nowhere else in the world and the damn socialists won't let us pave over all that wasted farmland in the Fraser Valley for single family dwellings.
  14. Good God Contrarian that pandemic handout to stay home was just that. Because you had to stay home, you weren't earning an income! And it had to be handed out in a hurry as it was needed then, not six months after some Parliamentary Committee set a bunch of eligibility rules and qualifications. It had to be distributed at once, which no gov't anywhere had to do before, as such circumstances had never happened before. So obviously it wasn't done well. Yeah, a lot of people ripped it off. My wife was told to apply as she was off on sick leave and EI was backed up. She got it 8 weeks later, what was she supposed to live on for 2 months? She passed away a couple weeks later. Last year they sent notice that she received it in error, as she was on EI medical and did not qualify... so I had to pay back $2000 out of her estate. Regardless, everyone griping about GST-Carbon-Grocery rebates is still complaining about the gov't giving some of your money back to you, which has got to be the definition of insanity. If your ideology is so butt stubborn important to you, give it back or donate it.
  15. Orkney residents savour idea of joining Norway https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/jul/04/orkney-residents-savour-idea-of-joining-norway
  16. Yes we do have basic differences. My measure is how much a gov't delivers for what you pay for it. Refunds and rebates are part of that. Without the naivete of thoughts like they should do less and that your taxes will go down if they do. But I totally recognize your point of who gets missed. I'm a senior, so why the hell am I paying for prescription meds? Cuz my income from two years ago when the wife was alive and working a union job makes me ineligible. So in the meantime as I no longer have her benefits, I gotta pay $80 a month to a private insurer and last year's meds didn't even pass their deductible. Tempted to smash out a tooth with a hammer just to get my money's worth.
  17. Of course inflation helps. If your wholesale price doubles, you can double your profits, say with a straight face "our % markup did not increase at all" and fools will find someone else to blame.
  18. If I may: The Rona is a flag indicating any further text should be taken as utter gibberish.
  19. Who the F*** knows? They haven't made them yet. But pulling a $100K figure out of thin air might just be accurate by 2030 After all the most popular vehicle an F150 costs over $60,000+ today. A Pacifica minivan $55,000+ today. Hell, a dozen eggs might cost $12 by then. Almost as much as your Basic Personal Tax Exemption will go up. I don't wanna even think about it. Joking with my sister at the grocery store - Look Sue! Ten cent candy bars are on sale for $1.89
  20. Yes those are the ones complaining loudest about giving money to the people. We're coping so F.U. Jack. Let's all adopt that honourable American attitude.
  21. Here's one you can run with. A headline I saw this morning: Opinion: Earth is about to reach its farthest point from the sun. So why is it so hot? apparently the tilt of the Earth and more land mass in the Northern Hemisphere are mere 'opinions'.
  22. The patents lapsed so the CFC molecules simply disappeared, it's your newly discovered atomic binding of Enterprise Force Theory!
  23. Stellantis just announced its EV platform will give a 700km range. Gee, the average Cdn driver will have to recharge almost every two weeks.
  24. sorry- picking quotes from within another got me again
