So you're all saying is for him to NOT stand up for his ideology even if it's the policy of other NATO members too? Or let Britain do it and appear like their underling colony? And what's with the all-out war mentality - they did so we should too? Ukraine's out to kick Russia out, not force Russia's unconditional surrender. The USA's now conditionally limited the policy. They'll stop sending cluster bombs once they can ramp up regular 155mm shell production.

I clearly stated that very thing makes them ineligible to join. They'd have to settle with Russia first. As for Russia, to double down they'd need to turn their economy into military production. The very reason Putin's beloved Soviet Empire collapsed. Hell, coming home to your one room apartment and having Gramma scream at you hoe she stood in line all day and couldn't get any bread for year had a little to do with that, didn't it. What I rag my local SaveOn manager: Is like shopping at GUM in Soviet Russia! Empty shelves and only high Party officials can afford what is there...

which is what a lot of people seems to think the workers are asking. More to do with job security for the few that can actually afford to live here. They've always been one of the highest paying jobs you could get so begrudging what they do get now isn't advancing anything at all. Give it a bit longer, intervene if it's obvious they can't settle. That's what the employers are hoping for, they'll get the better deal. My snide remarks were because the few media interviews I've seen were from company execs involved in shipping work & jobs out of the country.

Turkey has decided to support Sweden's entry to NATO, removing the last obstacle. Russia's f***ed! Almost completely surrounded, sanctioned and hurting. What do you think will happen in Russia now? Also what do you think of Trudeau offering support for Ukraine joining? It can't because of ongoing hostilities make it ineligible, but what about it? That would leave Moldova like Kaliningrad, behind a NATO wall.

The strike by west coast port workers is entering it's second week. It's estimated to be costing the economy $1 billion a day. Forest companies are complaining they can't ship out raw logs, fish companies can't ship out our fish to be sold or processed in China. Car buyers will have to look at models made in N America... So what are your thoughts?

Canada is one of 120 countries that have banned and condemned the use of cluster munitions. The USA now says it will supply those to Kiev. Should Trudeau stand up at the NATO meet and ask the USA to reverse it's decision?

Perhaps the sales in Redneck Cracker States was 10,000 times that in BC. They should've named it Diet Bud as that's about the only reason anyone drank such p1ss water. Thought if they drank enough they'd lose weight.

Black woman exposes why Walmart left Chicago

OMG this racist MAGA hemorrhoid on Trump's ass has been flooding this board with this kind of shit for over a year, only to promote hatred among the white ultra-right that they're somehow being persecuted by the minorities. Is there nothing in the TOS the mods can do to boot this Floridummy back into the swamp he arose from? -
It's 99% bullshit. Haven't seen any women stop ordering it at the bar and guys only drank it when there was absolutely nothing else. All yap from the 'real alpha men' who never srnk it in the first place. Maybe they ordered their wives to stop drinking it? They'll probably market a new Bud-L in a slightly different can so those offended goofs will buy that. Like Coke did with Zero, black font instead of white, adjust taste and save on the expense of sugar.

Ontario needs to invest in EVs as a realistic Option.

That why we had B&W tv when they'd already invented colour, mono records first, stereo then quad. Microwaves that cooked things that looked and tasted like they'd been buried a month first and brickphones and flipphones before the iPhone. Carbs before injection, drum brakes before disk, AM only radios. The idea that something must be perfect before it is ever even offered is absurd. Honestly back in the 1980s both our vehicles were propane and the same lot argued that the 'loss of a few horsepower' wasn't worth paying $6 a fill instead of $35 a fill, that there weren't enough propane stations around, the range was a little less, the conversion for $1000 was 'way too expensive'. etc etc etc. Same Shit Different Day. Then the Prius came out and every taxi & delivery vehicle switched to that instead. Interim steps - that all there are. Because then you can sell the same thing with minor improvements to the same customers again and again and again. -
You mean some use electric heat. They used to charge cheaper rates for heat, that's why some places have 2 meters. That stopped over 30 years ago, when cheaper natural gas was available. In places that got their shit together. My Dad used oil heat in Burnaby until 2001 or so, probably the last customer in the whole Lower Mainland. My sister in NS converted her home from oil to propane in 2013 because 'gas was coming'... still f***ing waiting. And where I live where we have night too and it snows 7 months a year, every new home people built in the last 3 or 4 years had some kind of solar supplement or was totally off grid. This 'sun doesn't shine at night, the wind doesn't always blow' argument is for total blockheads who don't know you can store energy or only use the grid when you need to. Same pigheads who drive 20 miles a day to work and back five days a week and say EVs are stoopid because you can't drive from Vancouver to Calgary on one charge. And who cares about air conditioner use in Canada, you don't even use it for more than a month every year.

The guy that made that predictive software got killed in Guatemala protecting his wife & daughter. I saw that movie too!

I fixed up the old Saturn, kind of got neglected for a decade when it was the wife's car. Entirely because even though I am a proponent for EVs, I don't think it's time to shell out for one right now. In a couple years for sure. Decide if I should sell both vehicles and buy a hybrid or just one and get a BEV. I still enjoy the long distance road trips, airfare to visit the relatives is WAY more expensive and thx to the security shit and where the airports are... only a couple hours faster. I'd rather listen to music, daydream and relax for 10 hours than rush about worrying over who's gonna steal or lose my stuff, shelling out for parking & transit and end up in Vancouver without any wheels. In the meantime, after 30 odd years of trying to kick this town's ass into the twentieth century, I will have to start berating them online and at Council meetings as they aren't even thinking about installing a charging station in town yet. That Fiat 600e will not be coming to Canada. Instead they're gonna bring the 500e, the same tiny p1sspot they couldn't sell to save their lives with less than half that range for a 'projected' $37.000. We Canadians are not worthy of the good stuff, we should be happy to at least get something. -
A lady in Prince George was threatened with arrest for going topless in her own backyard. RCMP clarified that was a mistake. Women can go topless in public and private, even if their house is next to a school. In a similar thing, Vancouver Coastal Health now has young volunteers teaching sex classes in schools. Thinking young people will pay more attention if the teacher is closer to their own age, the 35 volunteers are 17+ and teaching Grades 8+ Just think of his shit fit.... 17 year olds are teaching 12 year olds about sex - in public schools - with the govt's blessing! Better raise funds for Mr DeSantis to start a Crusade on Canada...
